I've finally caught up!  There's been a lot of postings...and I have to leave soon.  Tonight, they're having another day of auditions for Shrew, and we've all been asked back...so back I go. ::)

This may sound trivial to some, but since May 2 is my birthday....

FJL, if May 2nd is your birthday, why isn't it on the calendar?? ::)

OK, I finally gave in to the backache I've had for the last couple of days.  Took half a muscle relaxant and am beginning to feel loopy.  Think I'd better lie down before I fall down.

'night!

TOD:

Like DR GEORGE and DR FJL, I, too, was born in May.

And your birthday, too, is not listed!

My family has 4 birthdays in may and a new addition expected.  Although Emily probably feels as big as a barn, I doubt she looks like the Putnam Co. Barm

As for the Topic of the Day...

Hmm...  I'm sure I had a good May somewhere along the line.  Oh... May 22 is the "anniversary" of when I came out to my parents.

LOL....no more rehearsing OUTSIDE or traipsing across the mud in costume to make an entrance.

It's like a real live thee-yater!

As for the desk....first a committee would have to be formed to study it and then make a recommendation that then after it had been discussed for hours would be voted down because one person didn't like it - even though said person would NEVER have to sit at, look at, or otherwise be involved with said desk.

DR DtM - I have those Lucy appearances on different videos....they must be colorized versions...although the Bob Hope blooper material is in color....I did put it on my shopping list.  Sometimes I need a few dollars to qualify for Free Shipping, and this DVD will be perfect!

So sad to hear about Tom Posten and Gordon Scott.

Mr Scott was indeed a terrific Tarzan.  He was also the one time husband of Vera Miles and the father of the child that forced her to drop out of VERTIGO.  Mr Hitchcock was not pleased.

Mr Posten was one of the original performers on Steve Allen's Man On The Street....unforgettable for those of us who saw it.

Song of Norway - "....takes up where 'The Sound of Music' leaves off...."

Advertising quote....

Rest of sentence in review:

"....in the realm of treacly family entertainment."

I loved this movie when I was in HS and saw it in the 70's. (I was a big Grieg fan, so...)

Now I realize that this review is correct.

Wow!

In a monthy newsletter, Edisaurus' distribition company, FIRSTRUN FEATURES highlighted her film:

and has it on sale at 40% off (under $12)

der Brucer

Neat! I didn't know! Maybe I'll buy some to have in stock.

If anyone who likes the film feels moved to give us a good rating on imdb, we sure could use it! :)

The network caps its summer with "The Company," a six-hour miniseries about the CIA during the Cold War. It stars Michael Keaton

with a very bad Russian accent...

My  mother's birthday is also on May 3.  She would have turned 91 this Thursday if those two punk kids had not decided to go drag racing on that sunny January afternoon in 1994 and plowed into the car in which she was riding.

That's tragic, TCB. I'm so sorry to hear that. What a terrible way to lose a loved one.

I just received this shocking e-mail "from" Bank of America.  I had to share it with you - I took it very seriously because of its excellent use of grammar.

Thanks for sharing. I love that sort of thing.

The best May story....DR EDISAURUS!!

Notice how I didn't mention that I married my first husband (a philandering musician) and wasted 13 years of my life, also in May?
