Now that Belle Epoque is over, it's time to watch Afternoon of a Faun, a documentary about Tanaquil Le Clerq, the dancer who inspired Robbins and Balanchine before falling victim to polio. The dancing is incredible. The scenes of Robbins' Afternoon of a Faun with Jacques d'Amboise with Tanni, as she is called, is just beautiful.

Finally back from a looooooong day. Eleven o'clock meeting was fine, then right to a lunch meeting, then to auditions. About half the "confirmed" people were no-shows. Our pianist actually knew one of the fellows and texted him. His excuse? An emergency dental procedure. That's fine, but how do you have the chutzpah of not e-mailing to say you have the emergency?

Anyway, we're still without a leading man and trying to figure out what to do about it.

We had our All Staff Training Retreat and the first part was a three-hour session on questions about the library...what are things that the library does well, what can be improved, things like that.
