I just reserved two tickets for the Encores! Titanic for Kristi and myself (we're the Titanic buffs in the house, and Nathan has a conflict), and am feeling a bit faint. Don't even ask me what I just paid. It hoits. It hoits. But there's no way I was going to miss hearing Rob Berman conduct this score.

Is it possible to say "Don't even ask me what I just paid." without the person reading that wanting to know how much you paid?

Ha. No, and it's not going to sound like any big deal by current standards:  $205 each, 4th row center in the grand tier. We haven't been there since before the pandemic, but we're also more accustomed to forking over something in the range of $115-$125.

Oh, my.  I think I paid around $205 for Hamilton a couple of years ago.

I had to remove a bunch of Facebook friends due to reaching my limit - that took an hour. Easy to do.

There's a limit??  Or is it a personal limit that you set for yourself?

Well, earlier today I had lunch with my friend Margo and her friend (who is also my friend) Marsha.

[George]

We met at 2:15 pm at the local Mercato Ristorante for lunch.

[George]

One reason to meet was because Marsha moved to Vancouver, Washington a few years ago and she's up visiting friends and some relatives.

[George]

And the other reason is because Marsha and I share the birthday of May 5 (different years, of course)!

[George]

Margo and Marsha have been friends for probably more than 40 years, and I met Marsha through Margo, so we've been celebrating birthdays ever since we met.

[George]

However, I don't remember when that was.

[George]

But it's been quite a while!

[George]

I had the small Caesar salad with chicken added, and Margo had the small Caesar salad with salmon added.

[George]

Marsha just had a cup of their Tomato Bisque soup.

[George]

Margo and I enjoyed our salads, but Marsha didn't love her soup.

[George]

I liked it, so she let me have the rest of it.

[George]

Since we were their for our birthdays, Margo asked our waitress (waitperson?) if they did free birthday desserts, and they did!

[George]

Marsha chose the chocolate cake that wasn't really like a cake (more like a thick pudding) with caramel sauce, and I had the bourbon infused bread pudding. 

[George]

Since Marsha didn't really want dessert, she only had a bite of each (we always allow tastes of each others' desserts), and Margo finished it.

[George]

I liked the chocolate thing, but I'm glad that I got the bread pudding...Marsha also liked the bread pudding better, but Margo really did enjoy the chocolate thing.
