Yes, that David Burnham.

Well, he did match your description.

Then I came home and I've now written a total of fourteen pages today, and I think I'm going to go for the gold and come home right after rehearsal and see if I can finish - if not finish, then at least get to the last few pages.  I'm totally in the finishing mode, though, because it's just pouring out of me.  That happened with the last Hofstetter book and with my memoir.  My final day of writing on each of those was intense - 25 pages on the Hofstetter, and about forty on the memoir.  So, we shall see.

It was actually a fairly nice day today; at least weather-wise.

And my boss gave us an early weekend present.  He has decided to take tomorrow off, as well as furlough day on Friday!

Good Evening!

So...

I now know what happens when a tree branch falls on some of the old power and phone lines in the backyard...

...And it was also nice to find out that there is an outdoor AC electrical outlet set up on the upper "terrace" in our backyard.

...And, thankfully, nothing happened to the apartment, but since access to the backyard is through our apartment, it's been a bit like a Grand Central - on a slow day - in here over the past couple of hours.

The IRS has let me know that I can expect my refund by February 8.  It is a shame that it is already spent on bills

I think she's making curtains or recovering her couch with that.

I think she's trying to find her elbows.

Still snowing in Personhattan

The snow this morning was quite beautiful. Apparently, we're in a lull right now before the "major" part of this "storm" moves in tonight and overnight.  Right now, the forecast is for 8-12" of snow by morning - which actually includes the snow that fell this morning.

As for DVD extras...

I prefer my outtakes and extras to be run during the closing credits.

As for "Broadcast News"...

Since it was filmed in the DC area, I first watched it to spot the local DC actors in the background. Oh, and for William Hurt. ;)

Good Morning! Good Afternoon!

I'm up, I'm up... And New York City just declared a "Snow Emergency".

Hopefully the producers of Spiderman.... don't misread that as a "show emergency" and begin to start damage control or something like that

Well... Billy Elliot had a set malfunction during today's matinee... Does that count?

The bill says Depo Medrol.

I think that is the same thing Bosco had.  We learned to notice the early signs that she needed to go for a shot & could usually get her in the same day or next before the symptoms became a problem.  The time from one shot to the next varied.

Correction--it's no longer snowing like the Dickens in Conshohocken, PA.  It's not snowing at all, at the mo'.

You are about half an hour from where we used to live.

Yep.  As I recall, you used to live in the same town where one of my first Internet ISPs, Earthlink, was headquartered.

Ivyland? ;D

Is your apartment normally the only way to the backyard or just while there is a tree across the power lines?

Luckily I bought the prepaid medical plan for Joshie. All the office visits are covered, and I get a discount on everything else.

Back from a good meeting at City Center. It was great to see Rob, whom I've not seen since September, and Joshie always warms my heart and cheers me up. After the meeting, Josh and I had a nice talk about various and sundry things before we walked out into the snow, he to the RR subway and me to Eighth Avenue.I got tired of waitign for a bus and grabbed a cab. I had a great taxi driver who was a lot of fun and a very safe driver. I will have some chicken soup and settle in for the evening.

That's great.  We have never done that.  We should, it would probably ensure a very healthy pet just to keep us from using the benefits ;)

There's also access from the landlord's building next door. However, since the landlord no longer lives there...

Thanks for all the well-wishes for Mom. Haven't heard from them in a few hours, so I guess things are OK. My sister was going to drive in, if the roads were clear, and check in on them.
