Well, you've read the notes, the notes used the words duck-billed Platypus, and now it is time for you to post until the duck-billed cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: BEDIZEN!
-
And now - Dino at the piano.
-
Listening to Dionne Warwick's Here I Am album. Man!

Seth Rudetsky announced on his radio show today that Barbra Streisand is releasing to Netflix, some of her early TV specials. Specifically, her first special and her HAPPENING IN CENTRAL PARK. She is also releasing A STAR IS BORN with previously cut scenes.

I always loved Spanky and Our Gang.

That's pretty cool!

Will Haley Mills be part of the Richard Sherman show?

No, Hayley did the Academy tribute but will be back in England for our show.

That's too bad.
-
Well, off to bed.
Have a good day, all!
-
Good morning, all!
-
This is my morning for lab tests, so I'll leave Annabelle and Thatch to their own devices.

I hope the footage is available of the full version of Happening in Central Park. It was edited for Broadcast.

Good morning to all.

Good morning, all.
-
Another crazy one here today, so I must say a quick hello and be off till probably late afternoon.
-
Envying BK the O'Neill play and a hopefully gratifying Beverly Hills meal. Hope they're both good.
-
Continuing vibes for DR Jrand67 and family.
-
Later!
-
I am home from the lab work and ready for some breakfast. Annabelle is not happy because her schedule is off.
-
Good morning.
-
Wednesday morning greetings! We got an early start today, because I got up before 7 to get out of a really weird dream about a big family outing to see The Nutcracker for which I had forgotten the tickets. When the autocrat in the box office tried to extort $500 from me to issue replacement tickets I'd had enough.
-
Richard then got up an hour or so earlier than he usually does, so he's already at work painting our front hall closet. Soon I'll go to the grocery.
-
DR Ginny's dream reminded me that I had a very curious dream last night about vampires in Oxford, Ohio.
-
Good morning

Up at six! I have no idea why.
-
Sending vibes of comfort and strength to DR Jrand and family while you go through this difficult time.
-
I did something the other day to my incoming mail box which eliminated who the mail was from, but basically gave not only the subject, but the entire first line of the post.
-
So, for the last week I have had to open all emails, because I had no idea who they were from without opening it.
-
This morning I was screwing around in the "mail options" window, and I apparently hit the right thing, because the incoming mail is now back to normal.
-
Sitting in dentist chair waiting for novacaine to take effect
-
Really annoyed by 1 hour wait
-
I was at work at 7:30 left at 10 to be here by 1030 and not in chair until 1120
-
And I have to go back to work
-
Elm9re you should be getting a delivery by 8 pm.today
-
You might want to cancel your last Amazon purchase

You might want to cancel your last Amazon purchase
It's too late. If I'd known before or right after I placed the order at 1:00pm yesterday, I could have. I love you and I do not mean to sound ungrateful, but now I have to return it or keep it.
-
It was supposed to be a surprise. I didn't see your list until late last night
-
Maybe having a spare will be good in case the kitties eat the cord
-
I am now finished at the dentist and must go back to work
-
Some e else will have to answer phone calls for a while
-
I sound like Marlee Maitlin at the moment
-
Laters

I really do appreciate it. I'm giving you one for Christmas! :)
-
:D
-
Rains are coming. Thus ends my outdoor activity for the day.
-
Vixmom, I hope the staff didn't hear you muttering under your breath about their tardiness. They're liable to put the old root back in out of spite.
-
Test vibes for Elmore.

:o I hate it when things like that happen!

Whew!

I'm up, I'm up - almost eight hours of sleep.

DR Vixmom, your gift just arrived. Thank you so much!

The Supreme Court is so screwed. I cannot believe the mess this country is in, thanks to the Trump election.

I know...said the card carrying union member.

I shall shortly be on my way to sup and see a show.

Louisville had vicious storms yesterday. A tornado touched down about 4 miles from Mom and Dad, who were without power for more than 24 hours.
-
Power is back on, but things have been a little crazy. Sensing the timing, the batteries inside both fire alarms decided to go on the fritz. An overhead fluorescent kitchen light is flickering. Another lamp has apparently disintegrated. (I don’t understand that but Mom was too exhausted to make herself clear.) oh, and a window in their breakfast area blew out. Mom covered that with plastic.
-
They complained to a neighbor about the dark and their emergency lights were buried deep in the basement.
-
A well-intentioned neighbor brought the McDonald’s, but a cheeseburger, fries and shake were all the wrong foods for Dad. His blood sugar is close to 500.
-
I’m having hot wings and a slice of pizza for dinner.

Did you make the pizza yourself?
-
I had Mongolian Beef for dinner. It was a little sweeet for my tastes.

No. Just a slice from my favorite place.

Thank you both. It is hard, especially trying to get Mom not to get on a step ladder.

Vibes for DR John G and family.

I'm back from my fun trip to Chicago. Did a lot of tourist stuff, like the Architecture Tour on the river, the Bean, the Shedd Acquarium, the (ferris) Wheel,
-
My friend and I also had deep dish pizza at two different places: Lou Malnati's and Gino's. We liked Lou's better but both were good.
-
We had purchased tickets for Sunday matinee of "The Cher Show" months ago. We also entered the lottery for Saturday's shows. My friend won the it for the Saturday matinee, so we saw the show $27. The seats were very good--2nd row on the right side.
-
At the Sunday matinee, just as Act 2 was about to begin, there was a big commotion, with lots of people cheering and applauding. I stood up and saw Cher herself walking down the aisle. She sat three rows behind me (I was in the 6th row center and my friend was in the 2nd row center). I felt sorry for the cast of the show since I don't think anyone was paying attention to the song that opened Act 2.
-
I enjoyed "The Cher Show," but as Cher recently commented, it needs work. The performers are really great. Jarrod Spector plays Sonny Bono and is terrific. When he started his part of "I Got You, Babe" the audience burst into applause because he sounded just like Sonny. As he continued to sing it was very apparent that he's a much better singer than Sonny.
-
Emily Skinner plays Cher's mother and is very funny. There are three actresses who play Cher at different ages. Stephanie J. Block was the only one I was familiar with, but the others are terrific too.
-
I'll be curious to see what changes they make when it goes to Broadway in November.
-
Let's see if we can move to another page
-
Only three to go.
-
Two..

One more

Thanks for the report on the Cher show, KevinH. It's really cool you got to see her.
-
More vibes for JRand, his mom and his family.
-
Watching the rest of Another Man, Another Chance. Interesting movie. The pace is not fast and yet it never lags. I still wish the DVD had not been dubbed. It's really disorienting.
-
I see A Bronx Tale is closing after 700 performances. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed the show. The book could have used some work, but the score was enjoyable.
-
This morning I was screwing around in the "mail options" window, and I apparently hit the right thing, because the incoming mail is now back to normal.
I am sure you were very relieved.
-
I was at work at 7:30 left at 10 to be here by 1030 and not in chair until 1120
That is terrible.
-
Im having hot wings and a slice of pizza for dinner.
Did you make the pizza yourself?
Bryan made us pizza in his propane pizza oven he keeps on his little balcony. It was good.

How did I miss that you were in Chicago while we were there ;D
-
We went to a place that played jazz and had magicians walking around doing tricks at the table. Then there was a slight show.
The Old Fashioned were done correctly and were delicious.
We had a very enjoyable evening.

I on.y shared my feelings with youze guyz... I know better than to antagonize someone about to enter my mouth with a whirling drill

I think I liked the CD.
-
Well, I need to leave work now. I'm going home and will watch some TV...as usual. :)
Be back later.
-
I was trying to pay some bills and couldn't pay one of them because it kept asking for my 9-digit account number. I entered the 9-digit account number but the error message said I had to enter 9 digits first.
Irritating.

Prayers and vibes for the Rand family

My sister Annaliese called. She has no sympathy for my mother, who is not in a very good place right now and is in her full bipolar drama queen mode. I think Annaliese's patience is low because she broke her ankle. So, I can just imagine jolly things happening the next time she goes to Louisville.
-
Turns out there is a French version of Another Man, Another Chance on the disk. They just didn't advertise it very well. I may watch the beginning again to see it as it should be.
-
Good night, all.
-
JohnG, vibes for your family!
-
Wow, Kevin, thanks for the Cher report.
And you even had a better seat than Cher! (assuming 6th row is better than 9th row)
-
And to think, i thought I had a great seat being 5th row for Georgia Engel, Donna McKechnie, Andre De Shields and Lenora Nemetz (who is not really known, but I've seen her so many times and never been disappointed)
-
I'd forgotten that (long before "Half-Time") in 1992, Georgia Engel, Donna McKechnie and Barbara Feldon had done a show off-Broadway called "Cut the Ribbons."
-
I wonder if I can get us to page 5.
-
It seems pretty close!
-
Page 5!
-
Thanks FJL
-
Holding to the theory that since I got to work at 7:30' had a root canal stayed at work until 8:45 then came home and cooked dinner and cleaned the kitchen I deserve to eat butter pecan ice cream at 12:10 am ....I am doing just that
-
Because who doesn't love a roly poly mother of the bride....?

That is extra hard on top of everything else-sorry.

It is midnight to us so...

Well, this is weird.

I can get to HHW on my tablet without any trouble, but on my Windows 10 computer, I get a message:

But don't worry, BK. The trouble is on my end because I'm able to post on my tablet through Wi-Fi.
-
I'm going to powercycle my modem.
-
I'm sure that that will fix it.
-
I also can't get to www.bing.com on my computer but I can on my tablet. :-\
-
Well, I reset my modem twice and that didn't help. :P
-
I'm posting this from my phone, so that also works through Wi-Fi.
-
At least I'm not having any trouble with my TV, so that's good!
-
I called Comcast and they reset my modem through the automatic phone prompts.
-
I'll call back in a few minutes because of course it didn't work...as I knew it wouldn't because I just did that myself.
-
We'll see what a real person will be able to do.
-
Back from a long day's journey into night. More in the notes, which will be up a bit late for obvious reasons.
-
I'm back!
-
Comcast customer service had me release then reset my IP address.
-
Since the modem worked, I didn't need to reset it, but it didn't hurt anything to do that. :)
-
And now, I'm up and running again!
-
My cat is trying to sleep on my keyboard.
-
That's not a good thing for her to do...
-
...in my opinion...
-
...especially when I'm trying to, you know, actually type on it!
-
;)
-
6!!
-
Well, I hate to do it, but it's time for me to get some sleep.
Good night and have a good day, all!
