BURNING THE MIDNIGHT OIL

Well, you've read the notes, the notes burned the midnight oil and then some, and now it is time for you to post until the midnight cows come home.

DR Jose--I have a meeting Friday from 6-8. Is it possible to do a late dinner?

BK,

In today's economy just how much does it cost to burn the midnight oil?

Perhaps you could switch to burning the midnight camel dung cow-patty.

George looks better in a dress than does James.

Good morning, all! The laundry is in the washers and it's a grisly and gray morning in New York. we are in for some showers today, and I hope they happen after I finish the laundry.

Yes, BK, that you for your good wishes on page 23 or so; I had a pleasant evening doing other things than watching a program I had no interest in and posting comments. I am glad that several DRs hung in to the bitter end with you, and I am happy that the winners are happy and the folk at the HHW Partay had a good time. I worked at the computer for a while, then watched bits of a wonderful film of Mozart's MAGIC FLUTE directed by Peter Ustinov, and went to bed around 10:15.

When the laundry is finished, around 9:15 or so, I will head down to Toyland to (hopefully) finish the edits on Act one.

I put the laundry into the dryers around 10 minutes ago and the rains have begun. I have no idea how long this downpour will last but I hope it eases up in around 60 minutes.

Struck by a thunder and lightning storm at about page 20 - so I missed the last hour of the telecast AND the par-tay, but I have read the posts.

Congrats to THE KING'S SPEECH!

DR CP - RE: Helen Mirrin - I don't know who else I could be thinking of....I shall have to check my facts, because here on the inner web ANYONE can post ANYTHING so you know what you are reading is accurate and true.

I do not remember my faux pas.....EVERYONE else does, though.

I guess my latest would be asking MR BK when he was going to record a specific song, only to be told that it was on the NEW GUY IN TOWN cd.

My wi-fi router at home has been wonky for the past few days (I blame DR Jose) so I was unable to attend last night's Oscar bash.  A shame, since there was so much to bash about.

Monday morning greetings!  Thunderstorm woke me up early, but it's OK because I have to get ready for a routine appointment with our family doctor.  After that, grocery shopping.

Luckily this faux pas wasn't mine- but a dear friend's:

What he meant to say:  Why, Miss Lee, it is a pleasure to meet you.

What he said:  You're Leggy Pee!!

After the nice rain we had Saturday night which softened the hard desert soil, I will be digging out weeds all day.

The rain had slowed to a drizzle when I took my laundry out of the dryers. Everything is here, the clean bedding is on the bed, and it's time for some oatmeal before I head to Toyland.

I screwed up the printer on Saturday. I hope we can get a maintenance person in this week.

I didn't get a chance to catch up on pages 8-22 yet.  But I thought that Anne Hathoway was very good. Not really the usual comedian host (which I like a lot). But she is such a star. And I love watching her. And i loved almost all of her dresses!
