Off to New Jersey to see  the concert starring BK's friends Debbie Gravitte, Jan Horvath and Christiane Noll (in alphabetical order).

Looking forward to it!

I am sorry to hear that Dupar's has gone downhill. I have gone there several times with BK.

I grew up going there.  Back then my mother were buy bottles of the special syrup for us to have at home.

My patient is resting comfortably.  Going out only every two hours.  Plus a little crate-free time for petting.

I am babysitting grand dog Yogi who does not like to be anywhere without Craig.  Poor thing just keeps whimpering by the door.  I went and got his bed and put it there.

Craig had an errand to do and all Yogi would have done is sit in the car.  This way was easier for Craig & good for Yogi if he likes it or not.  Monday I will be watching him for four or five hours.

When I think of Betty Garrett I do not think Laverne & Shirley.  How ever she is remembered she had a good 91 years of life.  RIP.

In today's mail I received a CD of the out of print "The Music of Peter Schickele" from the composer! That was quite exciting and very kind of him. I have to think of some thing to thank him.

Waiting for company.

It would be fun to get taffy on the snow and go sledding. I remember last year screaming like a crazy person, since my sled went really fast and I had not been sledding for years.

My sister did not want my niece to go down the hill by herself. Some how I gather that she will still not want her to go down by herself since it's a huge hill. And it's not like she'd send her up the hill alone. Hopefully we will be able to get up the hill.

I have returned from the neighborhood party.  Bob, who hosted the party, picked a perfect time to throw a big party.  Tomorrow morning the whole inside of his house is being gutted, and he is having the whole inside done in a Japanese decor.  So, Bob could care less what got dropped or spilled.

It was an interesting gathering of people.  The men in the group seemed to have aged the most.  And the nieighborhood women seemed to have married very old and very unatrractive men.  It was certainly a lot more fun than the 40th class reunion we had back in 2008.  And it didn't cost me $55.00 a head, like the reunion either.  There was so much food at this party, that I complimented Bob on the perfect single guy trick - a pot luck at his house.

One woman from the neighborhood who I have not seen in over 45 years was a complete shock.  I lived on the dividing line between the two north end high schools.  Joann lived accross the divider, so I had not seen her since probably 9th grade.  She was probably the most beautiful girl from our neighborhood.  She was a knockout.  The years and drugs have not been kind to Joann.  I had heard stories of her years with cocaine and other drugs, but I was still floored when I saw her.

Bob told me that he had always wanted a house with a Japanese decor since he was a little kid.  This is the second thing he has told me in the last few years that he dreamed of since childhood.  The other was his desire to be a mortician.  He is now the chief embalmer for the State of Washignton Medical School in Seattle.

Maybe the party was an attempt to drum up some future business.

A favorite of mine. Glad she survived the years of blacklisting. I remember her most in "On the Town." She made a great Hildy.

Betty Garrett went to boarding school here in Tacoma.  I always enjoyed her in films.  R.I.P.

I had my yearly physical, and then a few days later I got a letter from a local mortician offering me a 2-for-1 burial. Coincidence?

Possibly from high cholesteral - THE SILENT KILLER!  There was a ton of fattening food.  I was surprised that the alcohol drinking was pretty low key.

Apparently my sister and brother-in-law were supposed to show up for the party.  Although, I doubt that they will remember being invited.

Did you call and ask if you could pick who the second one would be?

I considered writing a letter telling him I am not currently in the position of needing burial, but that he would be the first one I'll call upon my demise.
