Listening to music and relaxing before our rehearsal, which begins at four-thirty with our ensemble - stumble-through begins at five.

I am very tired and sore so I came home a little early. I would love to take a nap, but I think I'll just stay up and go to bed early

Update:

-3 loads of laundry done.
-Floors vacuumed.
-Sheet music and books re-shelved.

And now I'm taking a break to make some lists for Atlanta, as well as to clear another hour or two off my DVR.

Catching up...

DR Jennifer - If you're Tweeting from Twitter's own web-interface (via Safari, Firefox, etc.):

-Bring up your "Profile"
-Click on the "time" stamp ("now", "two minutes ago", "22 hours ago", etc.) below the tweet you want to link to. That will bring up the tweet by itself.
-Copy the URL from the address bar in your browser.

If you use something like Echofon, Twitterrific, Tweetdeck, etc., you can just "right click" the tweet, and option to "copy link to this tweet" should pop up.

Answers my earlier question.  I'm glad it helped.

What a very odd and peculiar day it has been.   All my co-workers have been printing loads of stuff...one page at a time.  Up and down, back and forth, from desk to printer and printer to desk, on and on and on and on.

And . . .

I am solvent again. After several truly panicky emails last night, the foundation in Philadelphia transferred the last invoice payment to my account this morning, and the funds have landed. Thank you all for the vibes!

They've told me this will not happen again, and I hope it's true.

Wonderful news!!!  Will they continue to deposit directly into your account?

Vibes you can save some of the funds to hold you over the next round of late payments!!!

Good morning, all! I've sent a letter of inquiry to the foundation asking if, rather than sending an express mail, they could wire the funds to my account. I may not hear from them the rest of the day, but I've done what I can to prevent disaster at this end. It does amaze me: I work for two institutions, one of them for 10 years now, both run by wealthy men, and we cannot be paid by either in a regular, orderly payment plan.

So, today I can do little; I don't have enough money to refill my metrocard, so a trip to Toyland is out of the question. I can walk to the NYPL, so I believe that will be today's work center.

That is totally offensive - your predicament, not your post!

Can't put this on ATC, but I did put it in the NY Times comment box, and it came to me really thinking of it in Larry's and WHERE'S CHARLEY's honor, though I was afraid to write that, lest someone call me a shill for the show because of friends involved.  :)  Also knowing how the Loesser people feel about parodies of his work, which I learned last summer when i got a nasty legal note, so i shall not YouTube this.

They threatened you with legal action?  On what grounds?  I have always read that the parody was always protected, but I guess Cilla could tell you better than I could.

I always thought of THE WAY WE WERE as a buddy picture.  Probably because I wanted to be buddies with both Barbra and Robert.

March is pretty lamb-like here in SW Ohio, too - sunny and 45o at noon.

We are expecting snow tomorrow night.

And there are also currently four - count 'em four - Time-Warner Cable trucks parked out on St. Nicholas Avenue between 145th and 148th Streets.

Maybe there is a new leather bar near by.
