Maybe I can redirect his wrath by posting something rude about W, for instance, he's an inarticulate twit whose Presidency has managed to finally kick Millard Fillmore off the "worst ever" list.  And I mean that in only the nicest way.   ;D

I am highly offended that you would ever think that our dear Uncle Milly could possibly be on the "worst ever" list.

I am kidding.

MSNBC Local News Headline:

Fred Meyer Sued For Sexual Harassment

This disturbs me greatly as Fred Meyer has been dead for many years.

Did anyone else get this weird glossy CBS "Watch" magazine in the mail today?

No, I barely got ANY mail today (and nothing yesterday). Three pieces of nothing mail today, AND NO PACKAGES OF ANY KIND.

Bah!   :'(

Had a full, busy afternoon of fun viewing.

I began with PROJECT RUNWAY. I always love the show when Tim visits the designers and sees what they have in store for Fashion Week. One of my favorite annual episodes.

And I have to say that the judges made the right call based on the three pieces we saw last night.

Can't wait for the Fashion Week finale next week.

Next I watched last night's RENO 911! Really hilarious show. Loved Seth Green's guest star sequences and a great final gag.

Next I watched DANTE'S PEAK on HD-DVD. Yep, it's a corny disaster pic down to its toenails with some ridiculous plot contrivances. Nevertheless, I have always enjoyed the movie just as a guilty pleasure thrill ride, and now in HD, it's great to have.

I didn't think the Dolby Digital Plus track was much of an advance on the old Dolby Digital track on the sDVD, but, at any rate, I had a good time with it.

Spoo!

I meant to mention that I did scan through today's AS THE WORLD TURNS. I got FURIOUS that Imira stood by helplessly and did nothing to save herself, fight back, nothing, especially since it was 3 against 2 if she had helped!. Absurd! Surely she knew what fate awaited her if the two bashers got her off alone. Horrible, wretched writing and acting. That entire sequence was abysmal! The nadir of the show since I've been watching.

As they say, horses for courses....I thought Rami had one good piece.    Chris had three.  But...as they say....whinny!

After I finished DANTE'S PEAK, I decided to put in another favorite musical that I haven't seen upconverted:

DOCTOR DOLITTLE. Oh, my, it looks SUPERB! Really, really impressive.

I didn't get very far into it: just to "Talk to the Animals," so I'll pick back up with it when I go back down and watch it to conclusion tonight before the LOST rerun comes on.

Horse race indeed. I didn't like ANY of his three pieces though they were interesting designs.

OMG!

I am SO glad I didn't bother with NBC's QUARTERLIFE on Tuesday night. The rating was so low that NBC has canceled the show and will not air the remaining segments as scheduled (Sunday at 9 was supposed to be its timeslot.)

The article said that the 3.1 million viewers the show pulled on Tuesday night was the lowest rating in that time slot in 17 years!!

For about 10 months, I had Donna Fargo's "Happiest Girl in the Whole USA" running through my head 24 hours a day.    Drugs helped.

A great antidote to "Small World' is "Just sit right back, and you'll hear a tale........"

Let's see what went wrong, from my perspective:

--- LOUSY title
--- Tale about 6 friends in a big city (huh-oh...ever hear of "Friends"?)
--- Promos made it look like a bunch of trendy, whiny "pretty people" who live a "high life" that every young person should aspire to...cad, ho, bartender, louse....

Wait!  Scratch that.

It was the DVD to the complete series "The Flash".

I also am waiting on three HD DVDs ordered 9 days ago.  Plus, I ordered two more this very day.

And can you believe DD's "price" for the new HD DVD titles?  Looks like the "gouging" begins!

I meant to post this yesterday and forgot.

In June, Fox is going to release a box of Carmen Miranda musicals. Four in the box have never been on DVD before (and all actually star Vivian Blane).

But the fifth inclusion is a REMASTERED disc of THE GANG'S ALL HERE!!!!!!
