What is that bottom photo, DR Laura? It looks disgusting! Is that a bucket of crawdads?

Mmm, mmm, crawdads. It's what's for dinner!

I love tofu! How did you cook it? It's great with Chinese veggies or fried. I just realized the place from which I order the friend tofu is gone. Damn.

Tonight I set up my college email address, figured out how to access the online blackboard for class and accessed my UBill.  The charges sure got billed to me quickly,lol.   It's so weird to think I'm enrolled at Iowa State.  It's been 24 years since I took a college class.  I'm really looking forward to this

Yes, Cilla...and yet we got info about Jayne (a sister-in-law) and Richard.  No mention of Rob.  A mother with sons asks about other mother's sons.

Obviously, the question was directed at the wrong person on the wrong day and at the wrong time.  Not that there ever seems to be a right time lately.

Kiss my ass, Ron.

Go to hell, Larry!

:D

I never do requests.

Awww, Shucks!

I still love you anyway, Lar!

 I don't have an Iowa State T-Shirt.  I can't be a college student without a school T-Shirt.  I'll have to get one so I can sit at home on my computer and study with my college t-shirt on.

"Let dogs delight to bark and bite,
   For God hath made them so;
Let bears and lions growl and fight,
   For 'tis their nature too.

But children, you should never let
   Such angry passions rise;
Your little hands were never made
   To tear each other's eyes.

Let Love through all your actions run,
   And all your words be mild,
Live like the Blessed Virgin's Son,
   That sweet and lovely child."

"Whatever brawls disturb the street,
   There should be peace at home;
Where sisters dwell, and brothers meet,
   Quarrels should never come.

Birds in their little nests agree;
   And 'tis a shameful sight,
When children of one family
   Fall out, and chide, and fight."

I missed this piece of news!  What course are you taking?

It's a graduate level architecture class through the Iowa State University College of Design called "Sioux City, A Case for Historic Preservation".   It's the beginning of a new Historic Preservation Certificate through ISU.  The class is offered through a satellite school here in Sioux City called Iowa State Design West.  I can only go to about 1/2 the classes in person, but it's also a distance learning class, so if I miss it in person, I can watch the class online.

It will help for the commission I'm on, but I'm also considering going for the certificate and looking into the possibility of making preservation some sort of retirement career.  I dont' see myself ever completely retiring, but I think it would be fun to try something completely different in the years ahead, so I'm building up for that.  If I decide this isn't it, then I learned something new so there's no downside to it

I am watching a dvd sent to me by a dear friend.  Boy, that Kristen Chenoweth can really sing!  It's a shame that the songs she sings best don't belong in the show that she's in. . .and that Tony Goldwyn, well. . .maybe they should have cut "Wanting Things" as he really doesn't sell it very well. . .and Ashworth's choreography of an iconic musical number leaves much to be desired.  However, I am quite taken with Sean Hayes. . .

Ok, enough for one day. Someone is burning something outside again and I immediately started coughing.  Maybe that's what I'm allergic to.

Hello everyone,

I've been intending to drop in and say hello to you all for so long, but today, reading Cilla's note on Facebook about DR Ginny was the final push to get me moving.  I practically slumped over when I read that.

How wonderful to see Julie posting again.  And congratulations on all of your projects.  I am really looking forward to seeing the film.

Hi TCB!!  How are you doing?

Thanks so much.   If you do get a chance to see the film, let me know when you're going.  Maybe I'll be able to stop by and say hi.

From a friend's facebook page.  This photo cracks me up

The photo is very sweet & just what I needed after returning from the funeral of my friend.  I told his wife she looked very brave. For now she is doing better then I expected.

The service was very nice & I found friends to sit with.

I missed this news about your friend, Jane. Belated condolensces and vibes to the family. It always amazes me how loved ones are able to hold it together at a time like this; I imagine many people are in a state of shock and going through the motions and it sinks in later.

Condolences, Jane, on the loss of your friend.

Neat! Our film opens at The Quad on Nov 5th. I hope your film comes to Atlanta!

That's great, Amy!! I will definitely go see it when it opens.  How long is the scheduled run?
