Catholic Charities
Two weeks ago, our esteemed BK set the rules as such:

Quote
So, the game we’ve been playing is Initials. We are given two initials and our job is to come up with names for those initials, said names being known people in the worlds of entertainment, sports, news, or politics.

If we allow Catholic Charities, we also have to allow Cubic Centimeters and such nonsense.  I hope you understand.

Did they actually get married?

What the heck, I'll hail.

Oh, I know the rules, but I choose to break them at times...it may not count in the game, but it counts as a post. As does this one which simply says what I already said only in different words

I just read that Fox has renewed TERMINATOR: THE SARAH CONNOR CHRONICLES for a second season (13 episodes). I'm guessing it'll stay on Mondays at 9 warming the timeslot until '24' returns in 2009.

Roseanna Irwin, of Pittsburgh's CLO Academy and Carnegie Mellon University has a request:
Quote
I looked online for some additional verses to Anything Goes  (the song), and I can't find any more.  I don't like the second verse that starts with "When Grandmama.  It's for one of my high school students for a recital, and I was trying to make it a little longer.  Do you have any other verses that are clean?  It's at the CLO Academy, so it must be proper.

Anyone?

I came up with this:
When Missus Ned McLean (God bless her)
Can get Russian reds to "yes" her,
Then I suppose
Anything goes.
When Rockefeller still can hoard en-
Ough money to let Max Gordon
Produce his shows,
Anything goes.
The world has gone mad today
And good's bad today,
And black's white today,
And day's night today,
And that gent today
You gave a cent today
Once had several chateaux.
When folks who still can ride in jitneys
Find out Vanderbilts and Whitneys
Lack baby clo'es,
Anything goes.

Refrain 3

If Sam Goldwyn can with great conviction
Instruct Anna Sten in diction,
Then Anna shows
Anything goes.
When you hear that Lady Mendl standing up
Now turns a handspring landing up-
On her toes,
Anything goes.
Just think of those shocks you've got
And those knocks you've got
And those blues you've got
From that news you've got
And those pains you've got
(If any brains you've got)
From those little radios.
So Missus R., with all her trimmin's,
Can broadcast a bed from Simmons
'Cause Franklin knows
Anything goes.

DR SWW - thank you for compiling the recaps for us - they are very helpful.  I believe you now have a permanent Monday assignment.

I have the piano/vocal score around here somewhere for whatever version is currently sanctioned by the licensing company, but I assume she is looking for something beyond that.
