But poor Aunt Kate's handwriting hasn't been the same since the potato masher incident...

The buses get worse and worse; today, after visiting the copyist, I waited at 96th and Broadway for a bus. By the tme I had walked to 82nd Street, no bus had yet come along. The only good thing about walking in the heat was running into Patricia Sinnott, Steve Sondheim's office manager when I first knew him. It's been 22 years since she left Steve for a brief employment with Sir andrew's Really Useful Company before ending up at Symphony space.  I hadn't seen her in about twelve years so it was a ncie surprise. I think next week we'll get together and visit.

Very light orders for Billy Barnes' L.A. - I knew they'd be light, but not quite THIS light.  So, this will obviously not ever sell out and I've just cancelled plans for two other CDs involving revues (not LA revues - NY revues - classics from the 50s) - I did this one for Billy, but I'm not ever going to take a chance on something like this again -

That's too bad. :(

I had some eggs for lunch, the picked up three count them three packages and the important envelope.  Paying attention to its contents (sometimes I look at what invoice is being paid, sometimes not, but lately I have been keeping track) and this invoice managed to jump ahead by three titles.  So, I wrote them and they told me they didn't have those three invoices, which is pretty amazing as I not on include a hard copy in the top box of all their shipments (and clearly marked so), but I also send them via e-mail.  So, after this week's check, he jumps backwards to take care of those three invoices, then he'll got back to where we were and by the time that happens, we'll be four or five more titles ahead.  And so it goes.

After a looooong nap, I just stepped out to the corner market and the rains have begun; the air feels great, no longer oppressive and heavy, and I think ithings are cooling down. I didn't mind getting wet at all.

Well, you've read the notes, the notes felt like a motherless child, and now it is time for you to post until the motherless cows come home.

Shouldn't it be the mootherless cows?

When I submit a post it is still taking me to the top of the current page, instead of to my post.  Anyone else having this problem?

Happiest of birthdays to Vixmom, from Sacramento!

Don't have time to ketchup right now, but JR, I thought of you today in Old Sacramento--we went to a movie memorabilia store and they had a complete shelving unit FULL of photos of Lucy, most of which I had never seen before.

This hasn't happened to me, at all.  I have IE at work and I use the Flock browser at home. :-\

TCB, do you write your posts in the Quick Reply box or do you click on the Reply button?  I never use the Quick Reply box, except I'm testing it with this post.

Nope...using the Quick Reply box did not take me to the top of the page.

I'm out of suggestions.

I haven't had the problem - try Safari or a different browser.

I don't want to use a different browser.  I have always used AOL and I have never had the problem before.
