I would love to stay and play, but I'm meeting with the costume mistress at our theatre this morning to get her input on the ones for Thirst.

I was glad to read that it helped DR TCB, but cranberry juice did nothing for mine. After I had my first one, X-rays revealed I had no more (then) in my kidneys. The doctor put me on a specific meat/fish diet and with cranberry juice as my drink of choice.

Within two years, I had several more stones (and have since passed three more).

I think it's all involved with a person's physiological make-up and has very little to do with what he eats or drinks.

I'm sorry you had to go through that, Matt. Thanks for the feedback.

..and watched many episondes of LAW & ORDER until THE REAL HOUSEWIVES OF NEW YORK CITY. I wonder how they picked these ladies for the series?

From the previews, it seems to me they were looking for women for whom the appellation "ladies" would not apply!    :D

Possibly, but a little WD-40 might abate some of those squeaks!

Good morning, everyone.

I have a question for DR TCB:
You mentioned the other day that drinking cranberry juice helped you. Could you provide some specifics, pls? What changes did you notice, did you drink the cranberry/apple blend, how often, and how long before you noticed improvement? And anything else useful to us.

thanks.
Signed,
The Crank

Back when I was twenty, I got my first major kidney stone.  I ended up getting rushed to the hospital, staying there in bed for three days on heavy drugs, and the doctor finally deciding to operate to remove it.  Over the years, I have had many kidney stones, none as bad as the first time.  Each time I got one, the doctor said to drink lots of cranberry juice.  I have no idea why it worked, but I always seemed to pass them with less effort and in less time.

About 14 years ago I started drinking, as my cocktail of choice in the evening, Cranberry juice and diet 7-Up.  I drink probably three glasses of that a night, over the course of the evening, and I haven't had a kidney stone since.

Other than the fact that it is a diuretic, I have no clue to the reason it works.

Note to you BOSTON LEGAL fans....

I found it deeply ironic when Alan Shore, scolding the executives of an insensitive TV show, said in his summation: "Psychologically damaged people are paraded onstage to be exploited, ridiculed, taunted...!"

Ahem, BOSTON LEGAL is the show that regularly parades Jerry "Hands" Espenson, the attorney with Asperger's Syndrome, across its stage to mock his habit of making goofy sounds, and Denny "Mad Cow Disease" Crane across its stage to lampoon his walking around with no pants on and other "hilarious" jabs at dementia. These hypocrites can't have it both ways.

They have David A safe (no susprise). And Jason Castro safe (i guess little surprise since he got raves last night). Btw, i did like him last night. But the surprise to me is the other person they have safe. Kristy. I guess i just don't understand how someone can almost go home so many times. And be in the top 3 now.

Anyhow it is too close to call for them between the rest. But David Cook has been the most popular for weeks. So i am surprised he is not safe (even though i thought last night he was just average). I really hope brooke does not go home. And after all the hype carly has received, i would be surprised if she went this early. I am okay with syesha going. Or kristy.

I'm up, I'm up.  Groggy, but up, but I must go and buy printer ink right now.  Had another twenty orders overnight, and I've got about 200 to print out now.  If I can do 100 today, then the rest tomorrow, that would be good.  Then, next week, or as soon as the shippers arrive, I'm going to have to have people here to begin addressing them - now I have to check and see if I have enough Kritzerland mailing labels.  If not, those take about three days to get.

Even though i wasn't really an adam fan, and even though he was the worst dancer left, i was really sad to see last night's elimination. It's probably becaues julianne is my favorite pro dancer. But i just wanted to see how far adam could go training wise.  I was happy to see kristi and marissa safe. I really would not have cared if priscilla had been sent home. She's fine. But i like most of the others better. I'm sad we won't get to see julianne every week. :(

AMERICAN IDOL Spoiler.

Well, actually, all they did was sing. How can talking about a Tuesday IDOL be spoilery?

Anyway, my 2 cents.

The popularity of David Archuleta baffles me. He must be preternaturally cute or something. I find his nasally singing style to be annoying as hell. What am I not getting about this guy?

Jason Castro. Also totally mystifying. He is BEYOND lightweight. I half-expect him to evaporate during any one of his performances. Screwing up the words to the song as badly as he did last night should be immediate grounds for dismissal.

I suppose the bottom three will include Syesha, whom I like, and Carly, whom I do not. I genuinely adore Brooke, but I don't think any of the women have a chance of wearing the crown this year, so it's just a matter of time.

I have to make vermicelli again tonight. And of course there are no instructions on the package. I remembered asking DR Jose the question a couple of months ago. But when i do a search i find nothing. :(

I'm trying to think of what he said last time. The best i can remember is to soak it first (under the tap). And then stir-fry it. I hope that was right. I can't remember if i was supposed to boil it in water.

:(
