I think the jeans are cute.  I will not be surprised if I’m the only one who thinks so.  Does anyone else?

Great if your an extra on Dukes of Hazzard, or are trying out for Lil Abner.

(NOTE: Gay men do NOT patch jeans, they relish in the damage)

Dear Ron

I was so sad indeed to read your news.
Warmest of thoughts to you from Colin, Fosca, Magnus and myself.

A special love.

I'm going to delete that last post.  I will say that I have not been treated well by either Light Opera Works in Chicago or the Jule Styne office on DARLING OF THE DAY, and I'm glad it's finished.

Do people really pay $88 for a pair like this?

Not me. But then my daughter would never ask for jeans like those.

Photo from Feb-Mar 1993 when my parents had both my cats while I finished my Navy career on USS Kitty Hawk (CV-63) out of San Diego.  Vickie is on top...and the brute beast serving as her cushion was my wondrous, wonderful Dickens (1987-1995).

TCB, re last night's comment

Perhaps he has had more practice.   :)

Hmmm, you're probably right, but not as much as you  ;)

And I am truly loving the John Schlesinger biography I'm in the midst of reading. I probably need to write William Mann a fan letter because I've loved all of his nonfiction works. I've never read one of his fiction books, however.

If you read THE BIOGRAPH GIRL, let me know what you think.  I tried and tried to get into that book, because I wanted to like it; but I just couldn't grasp it.

We just had a lovely visit with Penny before she continued on her drive home.  She is doing well considering the stress & pain of the last year.  She has one last trip to make before she can rest.  Next time she stops she will be hauling furniture and other keepsakes from her parents.  A good friend will be with her. :)

She asked about everyone and says hello.

I second TCB that NEW GUY IN TOWN is FANTASTIC!  If there are still those of you out there (is it possible?  Can there be?) who've not ordered the great new Kritzerland recordings, WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU WAITING FOR??!!!  Bruce Kimmel is the best producer of Broadway-related recordings living!  Go to the site!  Order now!

Pogue: Thank you for your lovely comment.  Guy is very pleased to hear it.
And, yes, there are a few here who have ordered NO Kritzerland CDs.  I'm hoping people get around to it eventually.

Some of us only got a $225 bonus when we thought we were getting $2200, so some of us can't afford any Kritzerland CDs, even though we would love to order them. It's a pity, but such is life.

The lack of fundage is a disappointment to us all - believe me.

PBS is currently showing a wonderful biography of Richard Rodgers. Quite exciting...and they're showing parts of "Small House of Uncle Thomas," which is my very favorite of all his dance pieces.

And DR Jose's friend Baayork Lee is currently on-screen.

Shortly I shall be on my way to sup with Miss Tammy Minoff and our potential line producer.

I do want everyone to know that I went to The Apple Pan and had a divoon Hickory Burger and split some fries.  I was giving a Kritzer tour and it seemed like a good idea.

I was the only one in my family who wasn’t an Apple Pan fan.  The pie was okay but nowhere equal to my mother’s, but then very few are.

Happy birthday, Dear Reader S. Woody White! Will there be cake?
No, but we had ice cream!

Two sugar cones, mine with coffee and brownie batter, his with coffee and black raspberry.

I doubt that more than 10% of the piece is Rodgers;  "Hello, young lovers" and "A Puzzlement" are quoted, but I think it's 90% Trude Rittmann's.
