Instead of being restless, I had a telephonic conversation that I needed to have, and it was good to have it, and I'm no longer feeling restless.  That's one thing Barbara does so well - communication and getting to the root of things, which is what I did in this conversation.  I hate when there's no clarity, and that's what the conversation was - about clarity and I was very clear and now there is clarity, in fact there is clear clarity.

Now that I am no longer restless, whatever shall I do?  I just don't feel like watching a movie I've seen many times, and besides it's just a wee bit too late in the evening to start something new.  Actually, I got a small batch of DVDs today from Ian Whitcomb - of some live performances he's done - perhaps I'll give those a look-see.  I'd go take a drive, but where would I drive?  Plus I'm driving to Santa Monica tomorrow so why waste gas this evening.  I'm also supposed to be having either lunch or dinner tomorrow with Mr. and Mrs. Murphy - Cason and his ever-lovin' mum, Karen.

I would tell my Grandson -Go to your room and read a good book!

In your case - Go to your room and write a good book!

... my pasta pappa.

Is a pasta pappa akin to a sugar daddy?

I'm going to wait until January to start, as always.  I ran my idea by Margaret last night and she really liked it - I told her I'd thought of it as a short story but was now thinking that the whole arena of the story and the lead character might be interesting enough to last for a whole book, and that's the direction I'm going.  And if it doesn't, it will be a novella and I'll fill it out with other short stories - but I'm thinking the milieu and story are interesting enough to warrant it being a novel.  Also, Margaret's husband thought it would be a really good subject for a book and one that hasn't really been done before - and he knows from experience, as I do, exactly what the characters who inhabit the milieu are like.  Am I spelling milieu correctly?

And just read that the wonderful actress Anita Page died this morning. She was 98.

Many of us will remember her from the 1929 film BROADWAY MELODY.

She was still working right up to this last year!

Clyde is a Camel's name!

I like Clyde the Giraffe.  However, if that doesn't work, how about Gerald the Giraffe?
