I have two documentaries I want to watch. One is from Werner Herzog about machines and our lives. The other is about Rose-Marie.

Peter is home from the hospital. He has a catheter that needs to remain in for five or six more days. Ow.

Welcome home, Peter!

Well, I must be off to my first production meeting for Legally Blonde.  I don't know what to expect, but as always my mantra is, "It'll be what it'll be." ;)

Be back later.

Knowing that The Great Showman would cause me to have a seizure I have avoided it like the plague.

Started the Herzog movie, Lo and Behold: Reveries of The Connected World. I love his almost insane view of the world. It’s so refreshingly normal.

Starting to watch the recent restoration of Intolerance. It looks gorgeous. I had forgotten that it's also close to three hours long. I may watch only a half hour or so tonight.

This set also has two extra Griffith films, so it's five+ hours of material.

I found part of the vocal CDs in the garage - those were all in the other garage but they boxed this stuff so stupidly - this box is marked properly as "garage CDs" except that most of what's in the box are DVDs.  So I probably have to go into the boxes marked DVDS to find the rest.  So annoying.  Listening to Claudine Longet - interesting but I've always loved her albums.

Um, no posts in an HOUR - an HOUR???  I went to Ralph's and got a little snack, ate it here at home, and have been listening to the complete Liza on A&M - these albums are where Liza was really becoming "LIZA" if you get my meaning - great songs, she's pretty wonderful and lots of charts by the likes of Peter Matz and Nick De Caro.

Tonight after work, I went to the first production meeting for the first production of the new theater company Broadway Olympia Productions' first show, Legally Blonde.

We all introduced ourselves to each other and talked a little about what we're doing for the show.

I read through the script and made a list of all the props that are specifically referenced in the script.

I actually already have a few things myself, so I won't be starting absolutely from nothing.

MOST fortunately, the director said that I won't need to find any actual band instruments for the scene where Elle has a whole marching band as part of her admissions essay (or something like that) to Harvard.

I do have a bike messenger-type book bag that one of the other students could use.

The set will be a fairly simple (looking, at least) frame kind of set.

It'll be really flexible in terms of how it can be used.

I also got a couple of names as contacts from other theater groups for possible props borrowing.
