I was awakened by the sound of the doorbell, and now I'm late and she of the Evil Eye is here and I must get crackin'.

I'm afraid I've never been able to forgive Bubby Stunwhack (isn't that what Mad Magazine called her once?) for being cast as Lorna Moon in Golden Boy.  Never mind that it was probably Harry Cohn who cast her, it's her fault Frances didn't get to play that part.  ;)

Good Afternoon!

Dishes are washed.  Counters are wiped down.  Lotto tickets have been checked - I won $5.00!  -Hey, it's something.  I've been washed and brushed and burnished.  And now I'm just waiting for my sister-in-law to call me when she gets done with her ride around the harbor.  -I hope she brought her umbrella with her.

DR FJL - Had you already planned to see The Color Purple again?  Or did you just have to see if the reviews were true?

Hmm...  I'm having some Soy Yogurt.  Some Soy Yogurt that my roommate didn't like, so she said I could have it.  Hmm... First of all, I didn't realize soy milk could "culture".  Secondly, I never thought soy yogurt would taste like Elmer's Glue with some fruit in it.  It even looks like Elmer's Glue with fruit in it.  :-\

DR Singdaw - Graeters is a-may-zing.  I'm trying to concentrate on a Turtle Sundae while watching 3 police officers chase a suspect through the library  ::)

Jose - I had intended to see it again, but once the Fantasia reviews came out, I hopped to it before it (possibly) built into an impossible ticket.

I just had a long phone conversation with Danise, would that it had been longer but it was interupted by a cellphone battery which went flat without warning.

Since I cleverly store ALL of my important phone numbers in the cell phone, I can't call her back

I sent her an IM but I don't know that she has her laptop on...if anyone speaks to her please let her know what happened!!  I apparently have a 3 hour wait to access my phone directory again

Is Danise doing ok, Vixmom? I was afraid to call her because I figured she'd either be so busy or sleeping.

She seems to be doing much better , she has a good friend who made sure she was fed and had Danise sleep over last nght so she was not alone.

Right now she is home with the doggies.  I think she would welcome your call.

Jose, that was my assessment also of soy yogurt

So, is the person on your right dealing drugs and the one on your left looking at porn?  That's what a woman complained about to one of my co-workers the other night.

So...

Veronica just got off of the ferry, and they're going to make they're way up to Wall Street and Ground Zero.  I think.  I hope.  It sounds like they're just set on having a nice, adventurous 48 hours in NYC.  I may be meeting them for lunch later.  I may not.  I may be meeting them in Times Square - "Where's that?" for dinner.  I may not.  Or I may just see her next weekend when I head down to Virginia.

I really don't mind playing tour guide, but I also understand wanting to explore on your own.  I've done that many times.  I'm pretty sure I'll see her tonight, but I think it's best just to let them set their own itinerary for the next couple of hours.
