Raquel welch has just outed Stephen Boyd. Maybe he wasn't gay, and just didn't want to have sex with untalented divas?

I just saw the Classical Grammy wins. Judy Sherman, our producer for EILEEN, the Herbert songs and cello/piano music, won best producer this week. I'm really happy for her.

There is a book coming out by some ex-marine turned hustler to the stars during the 40s and 50s who outs just about everybody!  If I get the chance, I'll post the title and author later (unless y'all know about it already...)

I found this on-line and smallerized it so that it wouldn't make us super-widescreen:

This Google translation has put me in Rapture seance:

An action movie from the subject supported by a tight staged majestic, that turns into epic every gesture and glance, blowing out of proportion due to the tight fitting feelings and frenzy of the camera

I once got this exact review for my performance in KING LEAR.

Zina Bethune was only 66 years old?  That surprises me.

I watched the last half hour of SMASH last night - and it was okay.  As DR JOSE wrote to appease me - the songs are very Broadway NOW - although I think they are really BETTER than what I hear on some CD's from some of the shows I hear today.

I used to buy CAST ALBUMS just because I wanted the Broadway experience - but having been burned SO many times in the last 10 years or so - FLOYD COLLINS, IN THE HEIGHTS, THE LAST FIVE YEARS, RENT - I rarely bother anymore.  And if a composer whose work that I didn't like the first time does a "new" show - I still let it be......JRB I am talking to you.

When I bought CAST ALBUM LP's, I could usually find something I liked.....GOLDEN RAINBOW, MAN WITH A LOAD OF MISCHIEF....but no so much with the new CD's.

In other words....I may stick with SMASH in spite of DM.

Dean Martin is in SMASH?  Then shouldn't it be called SMASHED?

Is there one more "Downton Abbey" episode this season? Or was this week's the last? Anybody now?

I thought he was referring to Dinah Manoff.

I had an unexpected and pleasant meeting w/Dear Larry this afternoon at lunch. He was meeting Anthony for some business and I tagged along and we met at Trader Joe's. While there we purchased a chocolate cake and a can of whipped cream for dessert this evening.

And what will you be doing with the can of whipped cream?

Raquel welch has just outed Stephen Boyd. Maybe he wasn't gay, and just didn't want to have sex with untalented divas?

It is quite possible.  He was a member of the Church of Scientology.

Debra Messing will be very upset with you DR ELMORE and DR DtM......I hope she is in a forgiving mood.

I'm sure that Ms Messing has much more weightier matters on her mind, like her pending divorce from Desi and their upcoming battle over DesiMess studios.

Is that production of OKLAHOMA doing well, as far as you're hearing?

Fred, I must tell you that I sent a copy of your FLY ME IN THE NUDE to a friend the other day. Not only did he enjoy it, but I laugh every time I hear it--and I've heard it many times. It is my favorite of your parodies.

And how have I spent Valentine's Day? At the dentist! Am I lucky or am I lucky? Actually, it wasn't any of the awful stuff, and the dentist and I discussed what to do about the mysterious erosion problem I have. In over fifty years of practicing, he's never seen this before. He told his assistant to be sure we have good photos of my teeth, partly to monitor the condition and partly because he wants to show them to his students. He teaches at UCLA. Such notoriety I'll have! (I never get ordinary ailments.)

I don't know how the production is doing.  I don't ever remember this much promotion for any 5th Avenue production in the past.
