Ah, a Question!

BK - Have you ever written - or even thought of writing - a large scale instrumental work?

Have you ever wanted to score a film?

Have you ever wanted to re-score a film yourself?

And here I thought what I heard was an alien invasion!  Plan 11 from Outer Space?

Timing is everything; I wish I'd known so I could have responded.  However, your mug certainly was there for She of the Label which shall not be named to see!

Three excellent questions.  I don't know if I'm musically sophisticated to write a large scale instrumental work - but it would be fun.  Tunes I can do well, and I can even develop them.  I'd have to really understand the structure of what I was doing though, and, of course, I don't orchestrate, so elmore would have to make it sound good.

I have, in fact, scored two films - some cheesy two-bit soft core film for Nudie Musical's co-director Mark Haggard, I think it was called The All American Woman or something - a piano score.  I also wrote the score for the film I took over directing, Prime Suspect.  That has some nice music in it - I have the tapes here somewhere.

I can't say that I've wanted to rescore a film, but I certainly could have improved on some film songs.

She might have done it just to "show" me - certainly that has been their m.o since October of 2001.  You know, nah, nah, nah, elmore approved me as his friend sort of stuff.  But, maybe she just loves your work - I suspect she was put up to it by certain people - maybe I'm wrong, maybe I'm right.

I'm afraid I got quite testy with my mail place on the phone after I'd been there.  When I got home, I checked the caller ID on the home phone and I saw that they'd called.  I called back and asked who'd called me and why.  And this little illiterate idiot says "no one called."  Just like that.  Blatantly.  I said, no you are incorrect because I have caller ID and someone most assuredly called - didn't leave a message, but called.  She kept saying no one had called, and I'm afraid the "F" word came out of my mouth and quite vociferously.  I then told her to put someone else on the phone.  She did that silent bit, then said, "Everyone's busy."  I then did the non-silent bit and said, "Put someone on the phone or I will come down there with my telephone and show you the caller ID and I will not be nice about it."  At that point, a guy gets on the phone and says, "Sorry, I called you.  You have three packages here."  I told him unless they were three different packages from the three packages that I'd just picked up, that I'd already gotten them - he saw that I had and that was that.  That first gal is on my list now.

You better be glad it's a package place and not a restaurant because the food  they serve you could kill you!

Is this the same Jeff Richards who was in the musical Seven Brides For Seven Brothers who didn't dance in  the barn raising sequence and whose singing was dubbed?

The very same one!
