Good morning, all! DR Danise, during this period I can only wish you two things: that events go quickly and that you maintain your sense of humor. Everything else is hell. If you need anything, call me at once.

Another Gershwin and Arlen day for me: About 9:30 or so, I will head downtown to examine a shipment of scores for LIFE BEGINS AT 8:40. I believe that's my only major event for the day. When I return, it's time for laundry and then a few episodes of MILE HIGH.

DR Jane re: your question about the cake.

We did not bring a cake (since they seemingly did not want us to). But they did bring out a piece of brownie with vanilla ice cream on top (drizzled in caramel and chocolate sauce). It was very good!

We had some rain during the night (not a lot) so things are a bit cooler this morning, and I'm glad. It was really getting to be like summer, and it's too early for that in April. It's cloudy outside right now, but bright, so I don't expect any more rain for the time being.

I guess those of you who watch DRIVE read earlier this week that Fox has canceled the show and will not air the remaining episodes (they may be available on-line later). After I saw the anemic ratings for the premiere two hour show, I figured it wasn't going to catch on, so I didn't invest in it. I'm glad now I didn't. Fox already burned me earlier in the season with the show about the senator's kidnapped wife which never ran to conclusion either.

A lightning/thunder storm rolled through the NY Metro area early this morning. Bright and early, there was a quick flash, and then the loudest sonic boom I've ever heard. THAT make the dogs sit up and take notice!

Cody is now returned, safe and sound, to his owner, so Zach is now back to the bachelor life.
