Well Batman number 2 seems to be more the real deal and not the evil imposter that Batman number 1 is (Batman number 2 was lacking a Robin, however) .

Although I was surprised when he said the bats leave the house before dawn. I thought they left at dusk, but that wouldn't account for them being in my house at night. So, who knew that a nocturnal animal leaves the house every morning.

Anyway, he's coming back in the morning to batproof my house.  The good thing is, to do that he'll have to fix some things that really need fixing (like a rotten board near one of the eaves etc). The house will be pretty sealed for winter when he's done.   He will also put in a bat door so they can get out but not back in, if it looks like we need to.

I'm much happier with him.  He laughed when I told him my conscience had been bothering me ever since I agreed to have the strips put in.  I told him how I got the bat out of the house without harming it...he said "I use a tennis racket, if it's in my house, either he dies or I do" Not quite the answer I expected from Batman number 2 aka Fred.

Does all this make you Bat Girl?

I will be leaving soon. I must think about dinner and we will also put together (the drum unit and toner cartridge must be installed) our new laser printer.

Later in the week we will mosey over to Bed, Bath and Beyond and use the 20% discount coupon lifted from that house on Long Island. We are planning on buying a new toaster oven.

Isn't our life exciting.

Now you know why I really want to move back to New York.  There is just no end to the glamour and the excitement of the Big Apple!

Hilarious how even after Kitty gave birth last season, Brenda still refers to Kitty as a "he."

Well, after Fritz's "Haven't you had Kitty fixed yet?" comment, and Kitty's well worked-over demeanor upon returning to the fold, I suspect we'll have more demonstative proof of "Kitty's" sex later.

DR TCB...why whatever could I have meant?

It was a case to be barked at...that's all.

Harsh discipline, verbal abuse and, most allegedly, incestuous homosexual rape.

All key elements of a dog of a case.

It's definitely one of them. There are a number of cases I never dreamed I would win, but a prosecutor or a cop did something stupid and things went my way.   Of course there are many many more cases where the defendant did something stupid and got convicted.

BB SPOILERS

Ok, I'm psyched about tonight.  I am hoping that Janelle proves me wrong and boots Will. If she does that, well, I will have to admit that she played the master and she would then deserve to win,  at least in my book.

SHOPPING FOR MATTH

PLAYFULS

Quote
A television set on display at the Berlin consumer- electronics fair IFA costs a cool 100,000 euros (130,000 dollars), organizers said Monday after surveying the expo for the dearest TV.

The LCD panel from Italian maker Keymat Industrie is plated with white gold and studded with 4 grams of diamonds.

Keymat, which said IFA was the first non-Italian fair where the model from its Yalos range was shown, added that US and Saudi buyers had already shown interest. IFA runs until Wednesday.

Last week, a German hi-fi magazine demonstrated at IFA what it described as the world's most expensive music system.

In an annual demonstration of what a hi-fi lover would love to own, Audio magazine borrowed equipment worth 750,000 euros (975,000 dollars) to assemble the sound system which includes a 220-kilogram record-player costing 125,000 euros.

Umm...not quite. ::) But I have piles of stuff that just need to be put in boxes (and I have a lot of laundry to do), then I'm pretty much done.  So, it's close! ;D

Note to HOUSE fans.

Fox is running HOUSE out of its normal time period for the first few weeks of the season so as to give the new show STANDOFF a good lead-in audience. So, if you want to see the season premiere, it's on at 8 p.m. tonight (EDT) instead of the usual 9 p.m.

Thanks for the tip.

Dear esteemed, rested, strained, and neatly-clipped BK --

Today has been an endless string of "catch up errands" caused by being away from the country for 2 weeks.

This past Saturday evening (the 2nd), as my aeroplane dipped and bumped its way toward a landing at JFK around 7:00 PM, I just want to let the Manhattan H/Ks know that great waves of my hand and verbal greetings were sent to you all.

While up in the air, the pilot merely said (and very casually) "...and there is some rain at JFK so we might have a few bumps on the way down."  It was only later, ensconsed in the world's ugliest Holiday Inn in Newark, NJ, that the TV news let me know that we had basically landed in the tail-end remnant of hurricane Ernesto!

One of my treasures on the trip, was my copy of "Rewind" which I took with me.  It provided me a lot of enjoyable reading.  Then when arriving home, my brand new shiny copy of "Deceit" was waiting for me.  DP Kerry and I watched it on Sunday evening, and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Thank you BK.  :)

And now, Sugar is fed and very happy, and so it is off to some night errands.

TOD :

Even though I was very young, I was (and still am) very curious about the George Reeves case.

And I don't think I'll ever fully understand how there could be anything that could be called a human being, that could possibly cause the disgusting violence that was heaped upon Matthew Sheppard.

Back from lunch meeting (which was very interesting), and then callbacks (not as interesting).  I'm hoping to finalize the company in the next two days.

Ginny-Your mother may not want to eat much after you cruise, they really feed you on the ship.

I was feeling better thanks, until I attacked the chocolate again.   ::)The worst part is waking up at 3:00 in the morning-chocolate does that to me. :'(

Dakota, thanks.  Yogi did look much happier after eating the cake than before.  ;D

I didn’t follow the OJ trial as much as the original murders & chase.  It was difficult not to pay attention when the street my brother lives on was constantly in the news.

This woman I know was working in her shop when a strange man entered.  She spent a good amount of time helping him, in fact she was extra nice to him.  A short while later a group of people joined him & began giving her a difficult time, so much so, she began to feel very nervous about them.  The strange man told them to leave her alone, she was “good people”.   It wasn’t long after that the Manson murders took place & the strange man & his crowd where all over the news.

I used to visit this shop all the time, so glad I wasn't there that day.
