Back from a lovely birthday party.  Luckily, the weather held up Ok, as it was outdoors.

Isn't the weather usually outdoors?   ;D

Except at Disney and Universal, of course
There it's only hellfire and brimstone. (But then, I'm not a fan.)

I would much prefer spending a day or several days at Disneyland; rather than sit trough just about any Disney film.

well most people would  prefer not to sit in a trough

Wish I had watched the first four seasons of Mad Men so I could have watched the first episode of the 5th season.

I did watch the first four seasons, but I think you'd be OK watching tonight's episode, DR KevinH.

Getting brain dead. But I have eight pages written. I think this paper will turn out to be about 15 pages. Ugh. I just wanted to get one written and done this weekend. But that ain't happening.

Missouri Synod, Vixmom. Staunchly conservative, except for a few of us firebrands.

The paper is on Bob Cole, who wrote the first all-black musical, "A Trip to Coontown" and the song "Under the Bamboo Tree." It's about changing racial perceptions on stage, and some of it was quite revolutionary for its time. But as the last week has shown, some things have changed in this country and others have not. The allegations and verbal garbage flying about in the aftermath of the Trayvon Martin case have made this a lot thornier issue than I had wanted.

Crud. Just what I did not want: UK is playing Louisville. That state is going to be a horror until this is all over.

the Vixter was truly shocked by Ragtime and The Scottsboro Boys --- she was even more shocked when she saw and read The Help - when I told her about Trayvon Powers she was appalled  "has nothing changed?!"

George, thanks for the link to the British theater archive. There are other productions that look great as well, including Daniel Morrisey as Macbeth.

The other title that I bought was "Much Ado About Nothing with David Tennant (the former Doctor Who) and Catherine Tate (his former companion, Donna Noble). :D

Today, I have to get up early (for me...on a Sunday) so that I can go with my sister and niece to Blintzapalooza: It’s more than just blintzes!

I've never gone before, but it sounds like fun.

OMG, that sounds amazing!!!!!!

The blintzes were VERY good!  You could get two for $5 or three for $7 or you could get 12 frozen for $20.  If you ate the blintzes there, they had sour cream, blueberry or apple toppings.  They also had some bagels ahd cream cheese with or without lox.  I had three with each of the toppings.  My sister and I got there about 10:15 a.m. and the place was packed with a line out the door.

They were also selling used books as an additional fund raiser, but it was too crowded to look around.  I saw a couple of coworkers and friends.  When we left, my sister bought a dozen frozen blintzes and we split them up at her house.  I took four, she took four and the other four are for our parents.  I already ate my additional four blintzes for dinner tonight.  I put them in my fridge when I got home and zapped them in the microwave.  These were actually as good as the fresh ones. :D
