Well, you've read the notes, the notes were quite Turkish and filled with daffy taffy, and now it is time for you to post until the cigarillo-smoking cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: SALUTARY!
-
Whew! :D
-
I'm off to bed.
Have a good day, all!
-
Good morning, all!
-
I'm sorry to miss physical therapy this morning, but everyone's working on getting an approval. they told me to call back on Tuesday.
-
I am home today. The Packard Humanities Institute sent me three more files of music from Babes In Toyland and asked me to check them out, so I will do that before I move on to the choral arrangement.
-
The cats were more than usually frolicsome klast night, and I arose to a lot of things needing help. I have vacuum and pick up a lot of toys.
-
I liked Mike Bloomberg as our mayor. He was much better than Giuliani and our current jerk De Blasio, so I'm very curious about his presidential thoughts. I am irritated that he's taken so long to make a decision.
-
Much as I admire and like Pete Buttigieg, I'm afraid his sexuality will keep him off the ballot. I hope I'm wrong.
-
I dare you to watch Kitbull and not weep!

Good morning, all.
-
I’m feeling rather salutary, to use the word o’ the day.
-
Too bad I don’t get $50 for doing that.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Well, it seems I am always either off to the car place or the cat place. Let’s hope I never confuse the two, right? Today Poe gets a quick blood draw to see how the thyroid med is working. I’ve got half an hour before I have to get ready to go and thrust him into the carrier.
-
He doesn’t know it yet, but I’ve drugged him with the Gabapentin that calms him and, a few hours hence, leaves him downright loopy.
-
Once we’re back home, it’s back to the music proofing and editing for me. I’m not exactly qualified to REALLY do that, but anything I can fix is a huge improvement over the way my friend’s notation program leaves things. He doesn’t know Finale or Sibelius; this is some horrid old piece of freeware that you just about have to kick to get it to do things right.
-
Good morning!
-
TCB: I saw JoJo Rabbit last night, and it IS an interesting movie.
-
Friday!
-

Do you also have exercises to do at home?

A few.
-
It is something though a good therapist does so much more. I hope you can return soon.
-
Back! The boy is loopy, as predicted, and I’m in my recliner ketchuping while keeping an eye on things.
-
Two!
-
Had a nice lunch from an Argentine restaurant I have to write about. A big, juicy cheeseburger with a fried egg on top. Messy delicious.
-
I'm up, I'm up - nine hours of needed sleep.
-
Where in tarnation IS everyone?
-
Friday afternoon greetings! I had to have some pre-cath blood testing done today, so I was at the hospital for about an hour. Stopped at Kroger and was home just long for an early lunch before my 2-hour shift at the AAUW Holiday Bazaar. That ended an hour ago and I’m done for the day.

I just got reminded that the NYC PBS station is showing the London production of THE KING AND I with Ken Watanabe, Kelli O'Hara, etc., tonight at 9 pm.

Test vibes for Ginny.
Thanks, DR John G!

Well, I’ve done my due diligence for today. I’ve pissed off an inordinate amount of people at work. All by pointing out someone else’s mistakes.
-
It made a few people secretly (and maybe not so secretly) happy.
-
Now I get yo usher for the symphony.
-
Tonight, it’s Rimsky-K and Scheherazade.
-
Listening to Factfulness, a book Bill Gates recommended. Don’t. Condescending bloviator lectures you on how misguided you are, even if you aren’t misguided.
Thankfully it’s short.

This pie looks lovely.

Picked up one package and an important envelope, did some banking, then came home.
-
Made some faux chicken stroganoff over pasta.
-
Ate it all up.
-
Very full.
-
Listening to music now.
-
Vibes to Ginny and all who need.
-
The concert tonight is opening with Ravel’s suite from Mother Goose, followed by Bartok’s piano concerto.
-
In two weeks, it’s Mozart’s Requiem and Weill’s Concerto for Violin and Wind Instruments as well as a favorite, Barber’s Adagio for Strings.
-
I just got reminded that the NYC PBS station is showing the London production of THE KING AND I with Ken Watanabe, Kelli O'Hara, etc., tonight at 9 pm.
Correction: 9 pm, not 8 pm!
-
Hello, everyone.

Pre-procedure vibes for DR Ginny.

PT approval vibes for DR Elmore.

Kitty vibes for DR Chas.

I shall soon be traveling to Siam courtesy R/H.....we shall see what happens.
-
I don't have a pie, but I may eat some of the cookies I got at 45 cents per dozen last Tuesday.....Halloween decorated cookies....
-
Congrats to DR JOHN on pointing out the mistakes....
-
I had to call my health insurer today. The guy who was helping me was very friendly and clearly has been in the job a number of years. While I had him on the phone, out of curiosity I told him about Vixmom's mom's ER bill and asked if he's seen this much. He laughed and said yes and all sorts of other things. He said they fight it and eventually the hospital backs down. He said that the worst are the ambulance companies. Apparently, much of the billing is now done off-shore, even though the companies are US-based.
He also commented that none of the policies being talked about in the political debates will address the stuff he sees daily. That's not surprising. Greed and incompetence will still be around. But I did find his perspective interesting.

Shall we send you travel vibes?
Or recliner vibes?

If any DRs are like me and feel stongly that we need to clean up the oceans you might be interested in 4Ocean. It's not a charity, but seems to be doing the right things.

DR George I like your quilt.
Thanks, again, Jane.

I forgot about having chimneys cleaned as ours is now gas. George, congrats on the price.
I had posted:
I think it would normally be $170, but the deal makes it only $65!
-
Well, I TOTALLY misheard the original price. ::) The actual original price is about $75, not $170. So, I saved only $10, but still that was a discount worth taking.
-
I just got reminded that the NYC PBS station is showing the London production of THE KING AND I with Ken Watanabe, Kelli O'Hara, etc., tonight at 8 pm.

Yes!
I definitely already have my DVR set to record this.

It sounds like the restaurant will be pleased with your review.

I am not familiar with this group & will check it out.

I’m DVRing THE KING AND I while watching the two-hour 20/20 special on Joey Buttafuoco and Amy Fisher.
I have no shame.
-
~~~Vibes of All Kinds for Everyone!!~~~
-
I'm off.
Be back later.
-
But before I go...
-
four!!!!
-
Good evening.
-
I did not leave the house today.
-
I probably should have, since the rain is finally returning tomorrow morning.
-
Not a lot, but we haven’t had a drop since sometime in October.
-
But it is supposed to be gone by Sunday.
-
On Sunday, Seattle becomes the center of the U.S. soccer world.
-
The Seattle Sounders are playing Toronto for the MLS Championship.
-
Seattle has become quite the soccer-mad city.
-
I will probably watch the game on Sunday.
-
I am not a fan of soccer, but it is our home team!
-
And besides, the Seattle Seahawks don’t play until Monday night.
-
That is going to be quite a game. I hope!
-
The Seahawks are playing the San Francisco Forty-Niners
-
I have become hyphen happy.
-
I figure that sooner or later I am going to use one correctly.
-
I used to be good at both grammar and punctuation; but beginning in the 1980’s, when I wet to work for the welfare office, my abilities went downhill (or down-hill).
-
I blame it on the pain pills.
-
Or perhaps senility.
-
I had a very strange dream this afternoon. I was working in a funeral home/cemetery(?) place. This young lady (all of 16) brought her two younger cousins to visit their father’s grave for the first time. Don’t ask.
-
The young lady and her cousins came storming back into my office. They had found the grave and she was horrified, because her uncle was an Orthodox Jew, and we had buried him in the Christian section of the cemetery. Not only that, but we had buried him at the base of the giant 100 foot gold cross.
-
I have no idea what means? Where is Jack when you need him?
-
George, love your quilt! Which Doctor Who is your favorite?
-
Finished with my viewing.
-
Seattle has become quite the soccer-mad city.
It's probably just the latest passing fad. Wait until they get professional hockey. I'm sure that that'll become the latest fad. ;)
-
George, love your quilt! Which Doctor Who is your favorite?
Thanks, jan. It's a comfy quilt. And David Tennant is my favorite Doctor. I only started watching when they rebooted with Christopher Eccleston, but he was only on for a year, and David was on for four years. I loved David's pairing with Catherine Tate as Donna Noble! The best part...NO ROMANCE!! Just witty banter.
-
Good evening, all.
-
The symphony was fun. And the audience loved it.
-
Sadly, because the temperature was under 50 and there was a drizzle, the turnout was light.
-
But the womenfolk were covered in furs.
-
Five!
-
Hi, John.
-
Starting to watch The Scalphunters with Burt Lancaster. I think it might be Syndey Pollack's first movie. I have never heard of it.
-
Ossie Davis is very young. Telly Savalas, Shelly Winters and more in the cast.
-
Anybody going to see Midway? I'm slightly interested simply because I enjoyed the one with Charlton Heston and Henry Fonda. I knew it was garbage, but I still enjoyed it.
-
Hi, John.
What's happening, George?
-
Hi, John.
What's happening, George?
Not too much. Just checking e-mail and kind of watching The King and I.
-
I think I'm off to bed.
-
Good night.
One book read and one to go within the next 2 days. I have one last category to vote on Goodreads for best books of the year.
