All those clouds finally gave way to a soft rain for a good portion of the afternoon thus canceling my walk. Darn!

I don't watch it, but I heard ABC will show new episodes all February for Feb sweeps. But it will be on hiatus all of March. And it will return in the spring for the last episodes. I'm sort of surprised since it has gotten good reviews and Gina Davis just won the Golden Globe for the show.

It started out with good reviews for the original few episodes, but since the show was taken over by Stephen Botchco, the reviews have not been so good. Most critics I have read have not liked the direction of the show or the calamity-of-the-week plots that he's inflicted on the series. Also, as I've read, DOnald Sutherland's duplicitous character has been reconceived and not to their liking.

Again, I don't watch the show; I'm only reporting on what I've read.

I started my afternoon watching the last CSI: MIAMI episode of Season 3, a gut-busting and wrenching hour which not only contained enough cliffhangers for three series (most of which have been resolved at this point in their new season), but put an end to a couple of regular characters.

Last night's VERONICA MARS was also entertaining with some nice surprises. I was fooled.

I liked the show...and Davis, especially...but Sutherland became wearisome in the early going....on one show, he'd get the upper hand...on the next, Davis would seize it back...I had neither the strengh nor interest in watching this yo-yo of a show continue in that vein.

Glad she won the Golden Globe....but the show ain't for me no more.

Last week's THE OFFICE had some truly hilarious bits and continuing some inner-office intrigue which makes the show so special.

And I finished up the afternoon with another episode from ADVENTURES OF SUPERMAN - Season 2: "Beware the Wrecker." Fun episode like so many of them are during this season.

I heard and partially saw a TV commercial fpr lestat on the TV this morning. It was during the TODAY show which I had on for background noise while I was doing some chores and waiting for the plumber.

When I realize what i was hearing , I ran in but I just got to the set in time to see a closeup of Hugh Panaro fade out to the poster picture.

I have a question for those with TV tech experience....what is the difference between an HD tv and a plasma tv. Is it good enought simply to get a plasma tv?

Most of the stuff that I watch is pre-1970, so I wouldn't guess it would matter much as far as HD tv goes...or am I wrong?

I could maybe someday afford a nice sized plasma...but an HD TV is just not in the cards any day soon.
