Well, you've read the notes, the notes were weird, and now it is time for you to post until the weird cows come home - they're currently conversing with the weird sisters.
-
And the word of the day is: INTROMIT!
-
Morning all.
That is all.
-
Woke up with severe indigestion. No doubt due to last night's four pints of beer followed by a heavy meal. Not good because I'm now about to set out for a reunion lunchtime drink and meal.
-
I said yesterday that I'd never known such cold weather in May. It's now said that Britain is having its coldest May for 100 years.
-
Good morning, all! I slept well, although there were many bizarre dreams, the last involving a party in Albany which I attended with brother Randy and goddaughter Charlotte, a deadline to get back to NYC which we missed, a planned trip to the beach, and a book order for Charlotte.
Today, i've got another trip to Toyland to use the scanner. Tomorrow is the Big Summit Meeting with the Institute before Toyland is leveled; I have no idea if anything will remain standing, including myself, and since our interrogrator is staying over, I have no idea if on Friday vans are showing up to move things out of the office or what will occur. I have an appointment for my yearly physical so I can't be there until 1 pm or so. I'm half expecting to show up and find an empty space.
Beyond that, I've got few plans for today. If I get to and from Toyland early enough, I can get to the NYPL Theatre Collection by noon and maybe accomplish some work on EILEEN. I also need to call Joshie and ascertain that my order of paper got to him for the DEAREST ENEMY orchestra parts. There's still no word on the office situation and that has me concerned.
BK, tell Vinny hello for me!
-
Good morning, all.
-
Wednesday.
Congrats to MR BK on his full cast. Make them sing the songs you want them to sing.
-
Good morning, all.
Coffee!
-
DR VIXMOM - the Dream-O-Matic 6000 says that your dream indicates you are very pleased with your life now and although you are nostalgic for the people and places of the past, you would not want to return there. The dog painlessly biting your hand to the wrist says that you are unsure about proceeding with a project or activity and that you may change your mind about how you accomplish something that needs to be done.

I know a movie called WEIRD WOMAN.
-
Greetings from Toyland, which may soon be "Greetings from Pompeii!"
-
I'm looking at luggage on wheels today; I need to buy something I can tote around carrying a lot of heavy orchestra parts. I've found something possible from Samsonite, but I'm looking at other options as well.
-
And the word of the day is: INTROMIT!
And The Song Of The Day Is: HERNANDO'S HIDEAWAY
-
Good morning, all.
Coffee!
Never Thought You Would Ask
-
Good morning. It's a Wednesday.
-
Wednesday morning greetings! Today's adventure for me is to accompany my mother to another chiropractor who is also an acupuncturist. She has helped one of Mom's friends with shoulder pain, so we're going to see if she can relieve any of Mom's hip/leg pain. I am not optimistic, but will try not to let Mom know that...
-
Welcome, one and all, to Reply #18!
-
It's another nice day here, not quite as hot as the last few, but at least it's not raining!
I received a kind of funny set of Reader's Digest albums yesterday in the mail which I am having fun listening to. Lots of outre arrangements by the likes of Billy May, Hank Levine and even Patrick Williams. Guess everyone needed an easy buck. :)
-
I have returnedhome from the rubble of Toyland and I am now heading off to the NYPL to research EILEEN. Back later!
-
Surviving Vesuvius vibes for DR ELMORE.
-
My question for ASK BK Day - what is your favorite classic Universal Monster?
-
And no, Carl Laemmle doesn't count.
-
Where is everybody this morning? I have had nonstop meetings. Fun.
-
Other arrangers on this set include Perry Botkin, Jr. and BK's close personal friend (as well as supplier of the second keyboard I used in THE PRODUCERS) Ken Thorne.
And I am happy to report that this set has been Pleasure Programmed.
-
BK, I think you should try to make sure your releases are Pleasure Programmed.
-
And no, Carl Laemmle doesn't count.
Carla looks kind of like The Mummy in some of those retrospective docs that are on all the 100th Anniversary releases. ;)
-
Jrand61: You haven't analysed my monkey dream yet.
-
My question for ASK BK Day - what is your favorite classic Universal Monster?
Frankenstein's monster and the invisible man (if the latter counts).
-
I'm up and awaiting the arrival of the tape transfer guy, after which I'll try to jog.
-
Jrand61: You haven't analysed my monkey dream yet.
Oh no.....was it yesterday? I shall have to go back to see.
-
I have been Pleasure Programmed......me and Ann-Margret.
-
Y'all are making me wish I hadn't ignored so many Easy Listening albums in my years of record hunting. I do have some Exotica and other such novelty stuff that could use some attention.
-
The Invisible Man definitely counts.
And yes DR JMK - Carla is looking more and more like Jack Pierce is doing her makeup.
-
Still in meetings and running off to another. But only page two?
-
Today is my first anniversary at USAA. Still loving it. Even with the meetings.
-
Employment congrats to DR JOHN G
-
WEIRD?
I'll tell you what's "weird".
The results of last night's "Dancing With the Stars", that's what.
WEIRD!

DR Jane, I do hope that, when ready, you might take a look now and then at your local Humane Society...that is where I found dog Bosco, and cats Freddy and Buford!
-
And to answer your question from yesterday, DR Jane, Katie and Brian have two cats, Princess and Scooter, plus a dog name of Piper. Scooter is anti-social, but Princess (who insists she is fluffy, not fat) is very loving and calm. She really is a sweetheart.
Anyway, the kids will likely be renting, if they have to move, so they are wanting to find homes for both, just in case. If I didn't already have a cat I would take Princess.
-
I said yesterday that I'd never known such cold weather in May. It's now said that Britain is having its coldest May for 100 years.
I would not enjoy this. Stay warm.

I've read more good reports about acupuncture than chiropractor. I hope it works. Has she tried a massage?
-

Really, I don't want anymore pets. I will be looking into volunteering with the cats at the shelter. I'll ask to see them when I drop off the tons of stuff tomorrow.
And I really did look to adopt before we got Sherlock.

Then they will first look for an apartment that accepts pets. :)

I wonder if Katherine will get most of Maria's votes.

Still on Page 2?
This wll not do.
No, no, no, no,
This will not do!
-
I had an interesting but frustrating time at the NYPL today, I did learn a few things about Mr Victor Herbert and his negotiations with Joe weber on EILEEN.
-
I also want to know why the idiots running the MTA appear to have more No 5 LIMITED STOPS buses running up Sixth Avenue when the No 7, whch makes every stop, arrives only at every whim. Something wrong there.
-
I also wonder why there are so few St Louis Muny programs for sale on eBay. Nothing from 1945 or 1948.
-
End of frenzy!
-
DR DOUG R - please repost your dream for analysis
-
Still page 2?
-
Thanks, JRand.
-
A weird day for the weirdness of feeling weird. And wired.
-
Culinaria, our wine and food festival, begins tonight. ;D
-
And I'm buying my Nook.
-
And I've nothing left to say, except ...
-
One more.
-
Page three!
-
I read today that CBS is moving THE MENTALIST to Sunday nights. Normally I wouldn't really care. But I know CBS has a lot of delays on Sundays due to football. I really think that they need to do something about that. Get rid of one show that night or not have 60 Minutes when there is football.
Interesting to have TAR, The Good Wife and then the Mentalist. Good line-up. Although i hate when they change the days shows are on.
-
Speaking of The Mentalist, I am looking forward to it tonight. Love Patrick Jane.
-
Is anyone else an NCIS fan? I was shocked and stunned by the season finale!
-
Woke up with severe indigestion. No doubt due to last night's four pints of beer followed by a heavy meal. Not good because I'm now about to set out for a reunion lunchtime drink and meal.
Doug, hope your reunion lunchtime drink and meal were without incident. ::)
;)

Last week's episode is the last one of this series I ever hope to see. It annoyed me so much that I developed hatred for the Patrick Jane character.
-
Is anyone else an NCIS fan? I was shocked and stunned by the season finale!
Gosh! I didn't have a clue you'd be in that building, Tom. I sure hope you're all right!
;)
-
"Take away the golden moonbeams,
Take away the tinsel sky,
What last night was oh so scenic,
May be cynic by and by."

Looking forward to watch "The Odessa File" on a new Blu ray disc.

No. Why?
-
I used to watch NCIS each week - but for some reason, it fell of my radar.
-
Is Sela Ward on some version of "NCIS'? Friends were watching an episode recently and I saw someone I thought I recognized, and hers is the only name I've been able to attach to the face.
-
Nevermind. Found it on IMDB. It's Sela Ward, but the show is CSI: NY. Must have remembered all that dyslexically. My brain is a jumble, why shouldn't my reading skills be a jumble, too?

DR DOUG R - please repost your dream for analysis
This was it:
I had a dream just before I woke up in which my sister in law reluctantly slapped her dog for doing something wrong and the dog turned into a monkey and then another monkey began comforting the one which was slapped. Make what you want out of that!

Thank you George. A few more drinks and another meal made me feel better!
-
Is anyone else an NCIS fan? I was shocked and stunned by the season finale!
No, but I am a big fan of the new series NYC 22, which seems to have ended its run after only 3 episodes. :(

Well, I will admit that John Bromfield in swimwear certainly didn't cause me to dislike the movie in any way. :)

I was very happy to find, at my doctor's appointment, that my blood sugars are now in the normal range!
Eating right and tackeling that devil sleep apnea seems to be doing some good things.

Priscilla (http://www.playbill.com/news/article/166049-Priscilla-Queen-of-the-Desert-Will-End-Broadway-Run-in-June-Tour-Begins-in-2013)
is closing up shop in June.
Not our Priscilla, that one on Broadway in New York
-
On hold. I HATE being on HOLD.
-
Haven't stopped yet. Jogged, ate, picked up one package (not the errant and truant one), opened an ABE claim and a Paypal dispute, made CDRs, printing music and on and on and on.

Wednesday evening greetings!

Yeah, it's me. e&t... sorry :( I'll provide the fish for the bitch slapping

Looking forward to watch "The Odessa File" on a new Blu ray disc.
Let us know how this is. I have the LP Soundtrack

Hello, everyone.
-
Jane, I am so sorry to hear your news. I didn't realize it would be so soon. Sherlock had a wonderful life with a loving family. Hugs to you and Keith.

Congrats to MBarnum on his blood sugar.

Vibes to Larry on resolution of his office situation.

I found it...ALW did write the score to this movie.

I wonder if this has ever been released on CD. Could this be a possibility for Kritzerland?

I'd love to find the score to "Gumshoe" also
-
Priscilla - the show that most people said would be the biggest thing to hit Broadway since sliced bread - closing at a substantial loss. Newsies - call my cynical but it was always going to be an open-ended run - although why they now have to use that tired cliche as if it meant something. They did what they did to get noticed and get nominations - they got noticed, they got nominations, and now it's just business as usual. And we'll see how and if it will work.
-
I gotta tell you.
-
Melody and mom came by and got her stuff. She is starting to really like the idea of doing Political Science and the thought of it still tickles me - but she'll learn two songs for that slot (the other is That'll Do, from Babe: Pig in the City) and one of our other gals will also learn both, then I'll decide at our first rehearsal. But I think Melody is beginning to see the wicked humor in the song, and that we could have fun doing stuff with it.
-
On hold. I HATE being on HOLD.
It is better than getting a busy signal.
-
I am happy to report that I have now done three, count 'em, three Bollywood interviews...two directors and one actor...hope to be doing two more (one actor and one actress) very soon!

The actor that I interviewed is featured in this Bollywood musical number:

Well, I'm off to rehearsal. Last night, the sound designer called my cues and tonight, the stage manager will be calling the cues. It'll definitely be an experience. The actors are all pretty solid on their parts, so that's good. :)
Until later!
-
Jane, I am so sorry to hear your news. I didn't realize it would be so soon. Sherlock had a wonderful life with a loving family. Hugs to you and Keith.

Keith is booking tickets to Chicago for Bryan's graduation. It is sad our hearts aren't in this. We are very proud how hard Bryan has worked to get where he is. He said is is also receiving a second award, this one for professionalism. Unfortunately the award ceremony is the day before the graduation and we will miss it.

Why don't you book a day earlier?
-
I've done the Facebook event page for the signing. Really hoping we can pack the jernt.
-
I think I'm going to see if a couple of our singers will sing a couple of songs (Lanny will play), which we can use to illustrate a point from whatever I'm reading from the book.

WEIRD?
I'll tell you what's "weird".
The results of last night's "Dancing With the Stars", that's what.
WEIRD!
I was very upset. But I didn't really find it that surprising. It really could have been any of them.

Funny, I wasn't surprised. We know where the football votes are going. We know where the novella votes are going. I think Katherine is incredible and she hurt herself so I'm not surprised she got a lot of votes, that leaves Maria. She was hot and cold this season. I thought she was better than the football player, but he's got numbers. I don't think that many people vote for the pro, I think they vote for the star

I think Maria improved so much the past few weeks. And to me Derek is the best choreographer.
I totally disagree. I think the more popular pros have a lot of fans (Maks, Derek...). I love Derek and find myself very often cheering for his celeb.
And i loved his sister and almost always cheered for/voted for her.
I wonder who will come back for All Stars in the Fall. It's sort of a bummer that it can only be one celeb per pro. That will leave out a lot of good celebs.
-
Jrand I am afraid your dreamomatic may need an upgrade --- pleased with my life at the moment I am not
But I do thank you for the interpretation
-
nothing that a large lotto win wouldn't fix though
-
Chas Smith are you still traveling round America?
-
Jane why can't you travel a little earlier and see the award ceremony?
-
i wonder if JMK ever sorted out that businessm with the tree police
-
and did he sell the old house?
-
Hi VIXMOM!
-
did ginny's mom find releif at the dr?
-
Last dryer load done. Now have the clean clothes I need to pack my suitcase
-
Chas Smith are you still traveling round America?
Yes, back from the Pennsylvania Turnpike (that's America, isn't it?), sitting on butt.
-
DR DOUG R - the Dream-O-Matic 6000 (still in business, DR VIXMOM notwithstanding) indicates that your dream indicates a shift in family relations more to your liking than before - you may also soon have an opportunity to assert yourself in a positive way - which you should take advantage of.
-
NEWSIES OPEN END......this is news? Oh.....you mean THE SHOW.....oh....
never mind.....
Later this evening Mr Joel McCrea and Miss Frances Farmer will be on TCM in COME AND GET IT.
-
Finished DOA, which was DOA, and now starting The Odessa File.
-
PEOPLE, we need POSTINGS and POSTINGS we need PEOPLE.
-
BK is 87 away from 65000
-
Now That's news
-
Well, I could just do eighty-seven posts right now.
-
My poor helper - we had a time-sensitive package to get out and I gave her the sheet music and the address and already had it in a priority envelope. It was going to Hollywood, Florida. She typed in the address and just on auto pilot apparently typed in Hollywood CA instead of FL - and the postage program just put int the correct zip code for CA. Well, it's floating around somewhere in the ether and I'm sure will get back to us at some point, but she has to come over now, go to a twenty-four hour Kinko's, get the whole thing Xeroxed again and then overnight it first thing in the morning.
-
Vixmom, the tree police situation is still playing out. They're claiming either I or the arborist will be fined. I'm claiming they have their heads where the sun don't shine. :)
We close on the sale of the old house on June 15.
-
Book signing in NY is definite. So, let the plans begin! My thought is for whoever will come to come (you can also respond on the Facebook event page) and then all the hainsies/Kimlets can come out to dine after - won't that be FUN? Hoping that many of our East Coast denizens can make it.
-

We didn't know about it when we made our original plans and then when sherlock got sick we didn't know if we could even go. Thinking we couldn't bryan didn't check with us before the deadline to accept and declined as kate could not miss class. She will be at the graduation. It would have been nice if the awards were given out at the graduation.

Tomorrow at this time I'll be walkin in Memphis!

Vibes for a happy conclusion on both of these!

Well, our food and wine festival started this evening with Sip, Savor and Shop, a kind of shop and drink until you drop, because there are only snacks to eat, so that won't keep you sober. We had about 1,400 people show up, which is just astonishing to me. The first year, I think we had about 300.
Anyway, its the first of a few late nights ahead for me.
Night, all.
-
I see i put my response to elmore in yhe erong place but i cant correct it using the nook.
