Yikes!  I don't know which mental picture is worse--the landlady with the foaming blue mouth or the picture of you having your bathroom all torn up!

 ;D

Good vibes your floor doesn't cave in and you don't end up sitting on your landlord.

I forgot that I also have the Rupert Everett/Sherlock Holmes movie from MASTERPIECE THEATER to watch, too. Not sure I'll be able to get this and L&O:CI squeezed into my viewing schedule tonight.

A friend of mine who saw THE WOMAN IN WHITE in London liked it OK, and he's not an ALW fan at all. He said he was surprised that he liked it as much as he did seeing as how he's disliked most everything else of his that he's seen. (He, like me, does like EVITA.)

Iread that obituary of Tony Adams early this morning, but I didn't think his name would be known by that many folks, so I said nothing.

Sorry to see that he left us so young.

I did finally read that VARIETY review of IN THE LIFE, and it was priceless. What made me really laugh was the critic's interjections like (don't ask!) or (not a joke) as he was describing the most outrageous-sounding things in the show.

Good Afternoon!

-Picked up my mail.  -It was a lot, but not a LOT.  I managed to sort through it all while I was waiting for my car to be inspected.

-Got my car inspected.  Alas, it did not pass.  However, the repair is relatively cheap - around $150.  But since they weren't sure they could get the repair done by 6:00 (closing time), I just had them put the "rejection singer" on the car, and I'll take it back first thing in the morning to get it fixed.  Hopefully, it shouldn't take longer than two hours - and I have some reading and research to get done, so...

...Oh, and it's raining here in Richmond right now.  It's not Wilma, just her advance party.

My favourite topic  "Woman In White". Not family friendly, not child friendly not anyone friendly  - unless you wish to sleep. It is DULL. Nothing much happens except so much projected scenery and a clever "Train Scene" (used before in "Whistle Down The Wind).
You don't care about the characters, the music is repetitive and not interesting, the lyrics for the "big ballad" are trite. The most boring night I have had in any theatre - professional or otherwise.
(All based on my experience with the London production).  "Aspects of Love" was ten times better.

I finally did get my confirmation from Amazon that the ordered DVDs (containing the new 3-disc OZ set) had shipped. I guess that means I can expect it Wednesday.

and honset I think it is thatyou  have gone to so much troub;e to return to HSN their merchandise which they sent to you .  Other people might consider it their due for their inconvenience and keep it, or refuse to return it unil they had received their original completed  order

PS Are you feeling any better breathing wise?

I was raised to believe that anything that wasn't mine would ever bring me any pleasure.

HSN told me it would immediately send replacement pins and that I could contact them after I returned the unwanted items to recoup my shipping costs.  I had already told them I wanted to return the items.

As for my breathing...I'm among the ambulatory, but I have "dry" moments, and I have "stuffed-up" moments, and I have "free breathing" moments.

But I'm surviving.

Thanks very much for noticing my posts.  I attempt humor, but I'm not sure it always comes off that way.

That's MORE than I can say!  I've gotten confirmations on shipments of two items ordered late last week.

But the months-old pre-order has not yet shipped, to my knowledge.

Same old stuff, apparently, from the "pre-order" department.

Well, we've lost those gray clouds, and there's a beautiful blue sky out there, but the wind is whipping the trees like it's March, and it's a cold, cold, cold (a HARVEY GIRLS reference).

Oh, I would be SO angry if I had pre-ordered things months ago and had gotten no confirmation.

I wonder if they take the orders and let them pile up with newer order on top and thus they get filled first. Don't have a clue, of course, but just speculating why this has happened just like the frustration you suffered with CINDERELLA.

"Passion" was the first Sondheim show I wish had been written by Sir Andrew; it would still be dreary but the music would be cheap and romantic!

I just got a very nice email from my car insurance company, GEICO, asking if I was ok and if I needed to make any claims for hurricane damage to Bonnie or the A-Team van.  They offered to send an adjuster right out if I needed one and that they would cut me a check for any damage right away.

That's pretty nice I think.
