Well, you've read the notes, the notes had a high time, and now it is time for you to post until the high time cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: NOODLE!
-
And now - Dino at the piano.
-
First post after Dino.
-
Second post after Dino!

BK, do you know Robert Morse? Is he a nice person? I have heard terrible stories about him.
-
Bruce, when you saw Robert Morse, did you start singing "I Believe In You"?
-
Good night, jan.
-
Good night, George.
-
Well, I'm finding it difficult to stay awake, so I'm giving in.
Good night, jan and Tom. Have a good day, all!
-
Good morning, all!

I've had a difficult night playing Daddy. I woke around 1:30 to Annabelle's wheezing and attempts to clear her nose. I took her into the bathroom, rinsed off the gunk, gave her some nose drops, turned on the steam, and sat with her in the bathroom for about 30 minutes. I slept fitfully until around 5:45, when I took her into the bathroom and left her in there with the steam. At 6:00, I figured, the hell with it, turned off the alarm, and got up and dressed. I rinsed her nose to clear out the gunk - worse this morning - and gave her some more drops. When I fed her and Thatch at 6:30, she ate, so that's a good sign.
-
This weekend I will learn to operate the new vaporizer. I'm hoping once that's running nights, her congestion will clear up.
-
DR Ginny, I hope you and Richard are in fine fettle today.
-
Last night I began the last chapter of Cleveland Amory's The Best Cat Ever. The chapter begins with Polar Bear's aging and last days. By the time the cat was euthanized and Amory was dealing with the grieving process, I was sobbing so horrendously that I had to put the book down. I'll finish it today. After reading The Cat Who Came for Christmas and The Cat and the Curmudgeon, the pain was as bad as if Polar Bear were my own pet,

Super Vibes the new vaporizer works!
-
After reading stories like those it is comforting to have your own babies to cuddle with.
-
DR George this is the first time you have expressed any interest in a keychain from a particular location. Feel free to do so anytime though it might be best when I arrive vs my last night ;)
Upcoming chances are for Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia (Angkor Wat), ending in Singapore. Wherelse might be of great interest?
-
I fell asleep early last night
-
Staying up until 4:30 in themorning and then getting up at 7 seems to rake a toll on one at my age
-
T.O.D.
I will be watching more movies that star the subject of my next play in THE HOLLYWOOD LEGENDS collection.
-
Good morning, all.
-
BK, did you thank Morse for the nice note he sent on your masterful Sugar remix?
-
Elmore, I’ve read similar reactions to that Amory book, which is why i haven’t picked it up. I had a hard enough time with Into the West this week.

If you haven't read The Cat Who Came For Christmas, it's wonderful. In The Cat and the Curmudgeon, he writes about the film offers on the first book. In The Best Cat Ever, he has a fascinating chapter on the time when he was hired to ghost write the biography of the Nazi-phile, anti-semitic Duchess of Windsor.

Good morning, all.

I read the first Amory book about twenty years ago when I'd just adopted the first two kitties. It was great, no question, but I never went back for more. With that kind of sadness as regards beloved animals, even "secondhand" sadness, sometimes I just don't want to go there. I realize I'm probably missing other good stuff along the way.
-
Vibes for ANNABELLE & DR ELMORE....and THATCH.
Writing vibes for MR BK.
Continued travel vibes for DR JANE & KEITH.
-
I watched hockey last night, so I will watch THE ORVILLE onDemand sometime this weekend.....I did watch parts of GOTHAM which was entertaining.

Oh my, some nice person posted another review of the CD! ;)
I'm just glad it's there. I submitted it yesterday afternoon and got their acknowledgment:
We’re processing your review. This may take several days, so we appreciate your patience. We’ll notify you when this is complete.
Several days!!! I remember when it took a few minutes. But following that last debacle with the two reviews from the same address, I figured they were running a complete background check or reporting me to Homeland Security and maybe I should head for the hills. Fortunately, their email saying the review had gone live was here when I got up this morning.
-
Two!
-
Is it five o’clock yet?
-
Friday morning greetings!
DR Ginny, I hope you and Richard are in fine fettle today.
Thanks, DR Elmore. We’ve been to see Dr. Meier for Richard’s post-op check and things look good. I’m coughing less and beginning to sound more like myself.
-
Thanks to DRs Jane and John G for last night’s vibes!
-

Jane, I wouldn't mind keychains from anywhere! I don't have many (any?) actually-purchased-in-Asia keychains, so anything would be great! Thanks! :-*

~~~Super Ditto!!~~~
I'm up, I'm up - eight hours of sleep, but up later than expected.
-
I watched a commercial for a show on A/E....it ended with the words TON & TOM and I didn't know what that meant.....it took me a few minutes to realize it was being shown Tonight and Tomorrow.
Very nice, ChasSmith!
Here's a link to ChasSmith's lovely review, which made me very happy. https://www.amazon.com/Christmas-Kirkner-Savannah-Schoenecker-Schroeder/dp/B07KX7KD88/ref=sr_1_1?s=music&ie=UTF8&qid=1546633143&sr=1-1&keywords=a+carol+christmas+bruce+kimmel
I'm not going to get much if any work done prior to the coaching session - maybe a bit of futzing and finessing what I wrote yesterday, and maybe a page or two that's new, but I have to go way back and add detail to the first fifteen pages - I research things as I go and when I find something interesting I add it. It will make the first chapter even longer but that's fine, because all the subsequent chapters will be much shorter.
-
It's been a good week at City Center. I don't know if Joshie will need me next week before the orchestra reading on the 10th, but I'm around.
-
Annabelle ate dinner, so I am very happy at the moment. I did finish the Amory book on the bus ride home. That last chapter was a killer, but i'm happy to know that once he stopped grieving for Polar Bear, he adopted a very young yellow tabby that he named Tiger Bear.
-
Good afternoon.
-
Elmore, if you happen to find some plastic Christmas Tree ball decorations on clearance -- the mini ones -- those are the BEST cat toys. They roll unevenly.
-
It was a long day at work. Very long.
-
Thai food tonight.
-
My Erik Larson binge continues with In the Garden of the Beasts, about the US ambassador to Germany during Hitler’s rise and his daughter. Good stuff.
-
I went to a discussion group at the Presbyterian church today. A number of old friends were there. I quite enjoyed myself
-
I'm jonesing for a Dexter episode
-
But Vixdad is enjoying Death in Paradise
-
I'm jonesing for a Dexter episode
I'm jonesing for some Taco Bell. :)
-
And since it's past my time to leave, I'm going to leave and head to Taco Bell. I haven't been there in a while, so I think it's time to go again.
Be back later.
I red it when it was first published. We used to follow Amory and his efforts on animal rights. Like Doris Day he was one of the early people to do this.
-
Last night we found a Thai restau6and had our best meal in Hong Kong.
-
We are basically packed. We aren't checking out until 2:00 and have time for one last walk before we leave.
-
But Vixdad is enjoying Death in Paradise
We were fans until the star left and never enjoyed his replacement.
Yes, good stuff.
OK 😊 Expressing interest in a particular location does help me decide, that and if we find something better than junk. Keith is good at finding them.
-
Ginny I am glad Richard's follow up check went well.
-
Just as we were about to head back to the hotel today we you d the keychain I had been looking for, in fact there was a big bin of various key chains, several which were nice.
I like to find one that captures my/our image of the location.
-
It looks like a heavy fog outside, as if it would be cold. Nope, as we depart the hotel it is very muggy and warm.
Page three? Really?
-
Coaching session was fun but three hours straight is a very long time.
-
Then I went to Jerry's and got some turkey, two rolls, 1000-Island dressing, and cole slaw, came home and made two really good sandwiches.
-
I'd already futzed and finessed and written about a half-page, but after eating I was so zoned I just sat on the couch and decided to watch a movie, which I did.
-
That just ended, so I will now write as many pages as I can - but I'll probably be lucky to do six or seven, but that's fine.
-
After work, I went to Taco Bell for dinner.
-
I had the Fiesta Taco Salad.
-
I get it without the rice or the shell.
-
I also usually get it with chicken instead of beef.
-
But I forgot to order the chicken.
-
But the beef is good.
-
Getting it without the rice or shell saves calories and carbs.
-
I also got a Spicy Tostada.
-
Both were very good.
-
:)
-
When I got home, I fed my cat.
-
...as usual.
-
I then came up to my bedroom and watched three episodes of The Big Bang Theory.
-
I watched episodes 4, 5 and 7.
-
I don't know what happened, but my DVR didn't record episode 6 or 9.
-
I have the episodes up to 11.
-
I looked on On Demand and the show is available, but the way they were labeled, I couldn't figure out which episode was which.
-
:-\
-
Now, I'm watching Murphy Brown.
-
I still like this show.
-
It's still very liberally message-y, but I like it.
-
4!!!!
-
On the episode that I just watched, Charles Kimbrough had a guest spot as his character, Jim Dial.
-
Is this the new Murphy Brown reboot?
-
I haven't seen that yet
-
What network is it on?
-
I just watched 4 Dexters
-
I may have to join a 12 step program
-
When the show came back, he didn't become a regular like the rest of the original cast.
-
Is this the new Murphy Brown reboot?
Yes.
-
I'm sneaking episodes after Vixdad goes to sleep
-
What network is it on?
CBS.
-
I have to lose weight before the wedding
-
Before I buy a mother of the bride dress
-
But I still have a house full of. Christmas candy
-
Why do people buy fat people chocolate ?
-
Don't they think we know where to get it?
-
What network is it on?
CBS.
I'll have to see if. I can dial up the series on demand
-
I don't think it's doing well in the ratings, though. :-\
Good evening.
-
Amy Adams is on Jimmy Kimmel tonight.
-
I have listened to A CAROL CHRISTMAS a couple of times already. I really love it! It will take me a couple of days, and another listen or two, before I can write my review.
-
I am not very good at writing reviews, so it takes me a while to get it right. But, if you haven’t listened to it yet — what are you waiting for?
-
I was able to listen to it today too, but not in one sitting. I was interrupted because of my work several times. I hate it when that happens!
That is why I had to find a cruise that had ports that I hadn’t visited yet.
-
We are expecting another wind storm tomorrow evening.
-
Winds probably gusting to 60 mph.
-
We won’t know for sure if it is going to affect us until sometime tomorrow. It depends on where the storm comes ashore.
-
Either way, we will still have rain, but the wind is iffy.
-
We are expecting another wind storm tomorrow evening.
Yikes! I'm glad I have no plans to leave my house.
-
The Seattle Seahawks are playing their first playoff game tomorrow at 5:20 p.m. Seattle time. Now people are worried that they will loose power during the game.
-
The Murphy Brown episode that I'm now watching is their election episode. It was broadcast the Thursday before the election.
-
All the episodes that I've watched tonight are from before the election.
-
I'm that far behind on some of my TV watching. ::)
-
It's been weird
seeing noticing all the political ads as I was fast-forwarding during the commercial breaks.
-
I have been enjoying MURPHY BROWN. They seem to be shooting for a romance between Jim Dial and Phyllis.
-
The guy playing Avery Brown is a real cutie.
-
The guy playing Avery Brown is a real cutie.
I know, right? ;D
-
But my favorite sitcom is still BIG BANG THEORY.
-
I looked at his IMDb listing (https://www.imdb.com/name/nm1416330/?ref_=tt_rv_t15) and the actor was actually born before the show originally started. The character was born several seasons in, so he's older than the character should be...but that happens.
-
That's one of my favorites, too!
-
Watching TV alone, I rarely laugh out loud, but with BBT I always find something that makes me laugh.
-
Oh dear, our day is almost done.
-
Watching TV alone, I rarely laugh out loud, but with BBT I always find something that makes me laugh.
I'm the same way.
-
I remember that Frasier was the first show that I watched alone and laughed out loud.
-
I forgot that this is Friday night.
-
George, are you going into work tomorrow?
-
Had a terrible day. When I got up, it 57 degrees in my living room so I turned on the heat and crawled back in bed to wait for it to warm up. An hour later, the heater had not come on so I futzed with the thermostat. Still wouldn't come on so I called the repair guy and huddled in front of the space heater to wait.
-
George, are you going into work tomorrow?
Nope. I have the whole weekend free! :D
Oh no, did they get the heat working?
-
No plans except for TV watching, and going to see Aquaman on Sunday with my friend Margo.
-
Of course, you realize, jan, that at 57 degrees we turn on the A/C.
-
My cleaning people came today but I couldn't go run errands because of the repair guy. He got here about 2:00, shortly after the cleaning people left. The repair guy was up in the attic for a couple of hours before he said it was fixed. Just as we were going to turn on the heater, the power went out.
Have you ever seen a movie with someone other than Margo?
She just loves to go to the movies. She'll get the tickets and both will be at the senior price. ;)
LOL! I do that with Tracy. I always buy two seniors.
The entire neighborhood was dark. I had a choice between sitting in the dark freezing my butt off or going out to eat since I couldn't even cook. So I went to coco's, had a decent french dip and splurged on some banana cream pie. When I got home the lights were on so I turned on the heater which started working, thank whatever higher power you use. Turned on the tv which didn't come on.
-
When she buys the tickets, she can buy two adult tickets. It will all even out.
-
Gratuitous Post #151!
What was wrong with the TV?
My cleaning people are a lovely Mexican couple that come once a month.
I had to call ATT Uverse repair. He tested everything and the internet tower working but on the main tv, I only got snow so I have to wait until Tuesday for someone to come fix that. So I went into the bedroom to watch tv. Got picture and sound but can't access recorded list so it's regular old tv or nothing! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.
Good night, jan.
