.. and a toaster since I never got the HHW one when I reached godliness a while back ...

Many DRs didn't get the toaster, Sis. Seems it was an Amazon customer service problem.

SONY QUITS REAR-PROJECTION TVS

Quote
TOKYO —  Sony is dropping its money-losing rear-projection TV business worldwide to focus on two flat panel technologies _ liquid crystal display and organic light-emitting diode, the company said Thursday.

Sales of rear-projection TVs had been declining recently as LCD TVs gain in popularity and get bigger, Sony Corp. spokesman Shinji Obana said.

You would think the stress of not only worrying about Sherlock, but frustration that Keith might stay home while I go see Craig in LA & to a family function, my heart would act up for the 24 hour monitor.  No such luck.  It tends to race the most just before bedtime.  I didn’t get one good series of racing, just a few little extra beats.  More than the racing, cuz I know what that is, I wanted one good waking up gasping for air.  I often do that just after I fall asleep & would like to know the relationship of that, if any, to my heart.

Jane, it could be a magnesium deficiency.

I was doing a cursory overview of my genealogy research of the lines I am working on since I have a copy on my mother's puter.

Lets see:

Germans, Irish, Scots, Croats, English, Canadian, English, Czech, Polish, Italian, Native American, Lebanese, South African, Kenyan, Indian, Indonesian, Thai, Australian, Korean, Japanese, African-American, Hispanic, Metis, Norwegian, French, Spanish, Italian, Greek, Swedish, Russain, Chinese,

I think that is about alll.... I think.....

Well, the gang's all here!  Jay's flight came in only 15 minute late, but it took about 30 minutes for his luggage to make it to baggage claim... And then another 30 minutes to the house...  Yadda-yadda-yadda...

Cillaliz:

Latest Iowa poll:

Democrats

Edwards 29 (+5 vs. last poll Dec 10-13)
Obama 29 (-4)
Clinton 28 (+4)
Richardson 7 (-2)
Biden 3 (nc)
Undecided 2

Looks like every vote can count!

der Brucer

IMHO:
Clinton can survive any loss
Obama can NOT survive a loss to Edwards

Matt H, ZODIAC arrived from NetFlix & is waiting to be watched.  I don’t think it has any special clips on it, I’ll have to check.

Jose, I’m so happy you liked the WATER HORSE.  I’ve enjoyed the reviews and am looking forward to the film.

What you got is the original DVD issue of the film which has been out a few months. What I've been watching is the 2-disc Director's Cut that doesn't come out until January 8th.

DR MattH, I'm not sure if both seasons 1 & 2 of Ghost Whisperer are out yet. But you should check them out.  Especially the finale episodes (was that season 1 or 2?).  There was a 2 or 3 parter that was so riveting. It was the best episodes of the show for me!

Both seasons are available on DVD sets. I just haven't found the "nice price" that will put them in my hands. I will eventually have them.

Der Brucer, I think that Edwards is picking up a lot of people from the "lower tier" of candidates who don't want to see Clinton or Obama win in Iowa.  A part of it is who we really want to win and a part of it is if Clinton and Obama don't win here, maybe just maybe the primaries will go on long enough that people will get to see and decide about more candidates than just the two the media has chosen to win.

I honestly think that Edwards can win.  It's anyone's race, but I just have a feeling. Of course anything can happen between now and Thursday

Of course it is impossible to poll accurately in Iowa.  Most people don't go to the caucus.  It's not like doing a quick vote, it takes time, sometimes several hours. The people who are die hard caucus goers quit answering their phones long ago, So I really don't know who they are talking to

Oh, I was sick of the politics for awhile, but it's really quite fun now. They are all gearing up, drawing big crowds and giving their closing speeches.  No matter what party you are in there is someone for you to cheer for and if you don't like either party there is always Ron Paul.   Watching the campaign strategy, watching them try to get our attention, try to convince us they are the best. It's quite a show.

But what you see most is that they are all good people. They are out there, trying to answer questions (well most of them), running themselves ragged and whether you agree with them or not, it's clear that they really want to do what they think is best. I do believe that.  Seeing them light up when the room is full or seeing the wind go out of their sails when the room is empty..it's seeing them as real people and for some reason it really makes me feel patriotic and optimistic about our country.
