This is the cover of my forthcoming book of short (and not so short) stories, which will probably be available mid-summer.

DR Druxy et al - Here's a more "direct" LINK.

*Looks good.

Very nice!  You haven't adapted this as/from a play, have you?  Something like this would be perfect for Theater Artists Olympia!

The title story was adapted from a screenplay, as were 3 other stories in the 6 story collection

And I am home after some barbecue on 45th Street. Everything that was disorganized during the week seemed to jell this morning. We spent 40 minutes or so on the material for Ben, who was away frm rehearsals for the past two days. He arrived knowing both solos, courteasy of mp3 files, and we had to refresh his memory on "West Virginia Mine Disaster." David Lutken lost the guitar part for "Cherry Tree Carol," so I copied that out for him and Jarrod when I got there. David, God bless him, became the host he was playing and even the sloppier moments went smoothly.

People began arriving around 10:50, and we broke around 10:55, took ten-minute break and began somewhere around 11:10. The presentation lasted around 50 minutes, and we want to show to run about 75-80 minutes. There were about 20 people in the audience, including my friends DR Julie and Melly, Wendy Bobbitt, an MD I know of but had never met, Carl Moeller. Andrew Gerle, and other friends of the actors.

Who says HHW vibes don't work? Everything went really, really well and I think we've begun something full of heart and rather special. Everyone's excited about the next step.

ah yes, DanTheMan, THE UNGUARDED MOMENT is very un-Esther like. I believe she was trying something new. It is a wonderful movie and one of my, and JRand's, favorites!

and it is hard to decide who is more drool worthy, John Saxon or George Nader.

By the way JRand, John Saxon is now my Facebook friend. I recommend you "friend" him as well.

Here we are at last night's Cleopatra book discussion.  There were several other book groups represented, but ours is by far the longest running - almost 19 years!

Remember night before last when I stayed up until after a line of severe storms had passed?  Well, here's what happened just 15 miles from our house:

And Grease certainly was the word this evening as the show was great.  Or "cute" as my mother put it.  However, her DP was rather impressed that I got the 8th grade boys to sing (as he just retired from teaching 8th grade PE) - it was a great show.  I'm proud of them.  Next week, graduation.

Back from finishing the mix - Jason replaced the three little one-word vocal things that had either been done too off-mic or had distorted, then we edited about five minutes of patter.  We also recorded a hidden track but we're not sure if we'll use it yet - it's VERY funny, though and if it doesn't end up on the CD we'll put it on the web site.

Then I picked up the tape, which, from what's written on the box, looks like it might be what we need, so we'll just see if it is and how the quality is - I'm hoping it's good enough for us to release.

Two days ago, around noon, my blood sugar dropped suddenly and emphatically, and I had to run to a CVS Pharmacy across from the school where we were rehearsing for a candy bar. Yesterday I took with me to rehearsal a bag of butterscotch drops. I passed them out to the cast during a break, and everyone was saying "It takes me back to my grandmother's house."

is that cvs brand drops?  they have a delicious melt in your mouth soft peppermint candy.  it differs from others as it has cream of tarter.
