I went to Tower yesterday. The going out of business sale has been on for quite a while but it's the first time I was able to get there. Well, it's pretty slim pickins'. I did manage to get a copy of Manhattan Transfer Live, the first live album, recorded at the Hammersmith in London in 1978. I had it on cassette and transferred it to CD but since it was on sale for $9 I went for it. I also got a copy of the DRG release of An Evening with Frank Loesser on sale for $6. After that there was nothing in the entire store that interested me. The Show Tunes were pretty much gone. There were some soundtracks but real bottom of the barrel choices and vocals were practically non-existent. Oh, well. I got two CDs. Can't ask for much more.
