DR Laura, thank you for the beautiful photo of the moon.

I wish I could have taken a photo in the wee hours of the morning.  The moon cast shadows of the oak trees onto our new path, lighting the path as if there were a dusting of snow.  It was lovely.

Also from yesterday...I previewed this, but the day ended before I posted it:
Here is the dog and me.

Lisa, the lady who rescued him gave him a name that I am having a hard time pronouncing and remembering it. So I am calling him for the time being "Junior" because he reminds me of my first dog.

So far so good. He stays on a little bed that I bought him without asking and came into my bedroom to welcome the day and then HE took me for a walk.  ;D

He's so cute!!  Mike, I think that that picture would make a lovely new avatar. :D

Ditto.

Two great books by Janet Flanner. I just finished reading them about a month ago. Both are excellent but the London book is really wonderful because it has pictures of London from 1934-1939.

Paris Was Yesterday

London Was Yesterday

And here is the Stein bio Larry mentioned

Charmed Circle: Gertrude Stein and Company

Thanks DR JANE and DR MBARNUM.....it was a lovely day.

Tonight THE CRUCIBLE moves into the Moore Theatre from the Kerr Theatre rehearsal space.

The Kerr space was funded by the parents of a young acting student Barbara Kerr who was on a mission to Guatemala in the late 1990's.  A terrible thunderstorm blew up, and she was helping get a group of young children to safety when she was struck by lightning.  A  tragic event.

Some photos from Saturday's festivities.

The picnic.....the theatre is across the street, and I almost got flattened by a speeding car crossing the street early in the day...

With my friend Suzanne who now lives in Dallas.  The house behind us belongs to the sister of writer Janet Flannery who was a New Yorker correspondent in Paris for decades....

My friend Diane and I after dancing at the party after the show.

Great pictures, JRand!  And the others, too. :D

I'm satisfied that DR Jose could put together a few books:

Seattle Was Yesterday

San Francisco Was yesterday

Chicago Was Yesterday
