Just wait till you wake up some day and all your ice cream is melted!

Oh I didn't say I don't say that once in awhile, but I just didn't want it on my refrigerator.

Well, I guess we did okay.

The review in The Lexington Herald- Leader thought the "TARTUFFE performances stellar"...

About me specifically:

"And Charles Edward Pogue as the Tartuffe-enamored Orgon is nothing short of brilliant.

"Perhaps his intimate relationship with the text helps him on this front, for in addition to acting in the production,Pogue penned the adaptation of this Moliere classic.

"Pogue's language sparkles with color and is ripe with crisp cleverness, making versatile leaps from theological discourse to the basest of juicy double entendre.  The ensemble cast proves more than up to the task of its delivery."

"...a fantastic cast and a first-rate adaptation..."

Bravo, Pogue!

I've done two pages, can't seem to get with it to do another right now - most of that has to do with the fact that the afternoon sun is shining in my face, coming through the window where my laptop is.  I'll go sit on the couch like so much fish for a bit, then do the third page.

I suppose you slept through Act Two?  :)
Walked out on it Matthew! and Yes I'd paid big money.
(I didn't even walk out on "Blood Brothers" - I may have done if I'd had the car keys and din't have to wait for anyone else!)

We had Froot Loops for snack. Kayla called them "Floop Loops." I was very proud.

JRand - The only thing I've found on the internet regarding Betty Hutton is this announcement of a retrospective memorial from TCM.  :(

Word has it that Betty Hutton has passed away.

Fred, you posted this an hour ago, and still there is no confirmation on CNN, MNBC, or AOL.

I just noticed I have a rusty spade.
"I Have a Rusty Spade."

That's the title of my next folk song.

I watched "The Robe" on DVD yesterday afternoon.  This movie NEEDS a restoration...particularly a cleaning....
Considering how old that Robe is, I'd suggest using Woolite.

I guess they are too busy with Anna Nicole Smith to mark the passing of a someone with talent and an actual career.

One of a kind - Miss Betty Hutton.

LOL - DR TCB.....Betty's was better.

I love Betty Hutton....and my favorite film moment for her was one of the songs Frank Loesser wrote for THE PERILS OF PAULINE.

It was a ballad with NO jumping around, just lots of heart:

"I Wish I Didn't Love You So....
My love for you should have faded long ago.
I wish I didn't need your kiss.
Why must your kiss
Torture me as long as this?

"I should be smiling by now
With some new tender friend.
Smiling by now
With my heart on the mend...

"But when I try
Something in my heart says 'no.'
You're still there.
I wish I didn't love you so..............."
