Back from the editing session, which I thought went very well.  Have about an hour's worth of work to do Monday morning, then add some effects, and move on to spot #2, which is half the length of spot #1, so it should take half the time.  Hoping to be through by end of day Monday and have enough time to do any finessing I want - if not, we'll come in for a half-day on Wednesday.

We will be very unhappy if COMMANDER IN CHIEF is cancelled.  The more we watch the show the more we like it.  We like the direction the show has taken and Sutherland’s character has more dimensions to it now.  Growth in the characters on a show is nice, keeps it from stagnating.

Quote
From Ron
liked the show...and Davis, especially...but Sutherland became wearisome in the early going....on one show, he'd get the upper hand...on the next, Davis would seize it back...I had neither the strength nor interest in watching this yo-yo of a show continue in that vein.

Ron, if only you had stuck with the show a bit longer.  We felt the same way.

Ginny does Pitt own the rights to the book?  I can't think of any other reason he would be cast in the lead.

Jane - here's the link that DakotaCelt posted earlier today.

I must have missed something, too, in the notes or posts, because looking at the site was the first I knew that the run had been extended.

Thanks for the link Ginny.

I’m really hung up on this….Maybe I’m thinking of a different book and a different author, but I thought Doria Russell had maintained control over casting approval.  I’m looking for a description (so far haven’t found one) of Sandoz.  It will take fantastic reviews from those who have read the book as well as seen the movie to entice me to see it.

I must be off.

Hi all!! Sorry I've been E & T, I keep turning around to see if my butt is still there, because I've certainly been working it off.

I'm having a blast working at the new house. While numerous workmen have been there, I have been stripping wall paper, removing a wall of mirror tiles, painting and helping my handyman throw stuff out. I'm loving it.  My realtor set me up with the best handyman, he has already hauled a trailer load out, cleaned out my storm shelter and tomorrow is bringing in a buddy and they are going to rip out the carpet in the bedroom, hallway and steps.  There are hardwood floors under all of it, so I'm hoping they will be in relatively good shape. The bedroom is the one that was disgustingly dirty.  I painted it today and love it. It's going to be great with hard wood floors.

Tomorrow my parents are coming to town with a van load of furniture they've had packed for 2 days. It includes a dry sink that's been passed down through the family. I have always loved it and I can't believe she's finally decided to give it to me.  They are so funny and are acting like little kids they are so anxious to see the place.

The only problem I see right now is finding the time to finish packing, but I'll get it done, I always do.

I'm home. And tired.

I thought Deceit was brilliant. There were many possibilities bouncing around in my head (and there's plenty of room for things to bounce in there) but I didn't guess the final outcome.

This afternoon I stopped at the Salton Sea and took a walk. But since I forgot to take my camera, I can't post the photo I didn't take.

Note to DR Stephanie -- I accidentally bought a ticket for the wrong night (see what happens when you buy things online when you are not wearing your glasses?) So if you would like a free ticket for February 23, please email me at DearReaderLaura@hotmail.com and I will send it to you.

Anyone here ever see the Richard Benjamin film THE STEAGLE? Quite a strange one, that film.

I have before, during and will have after photos. The master bedroom will have the biggest changes. It was so dirty. I left the fabric wall, it was in good shape and remarkably, fairly clean, but have painted all the other walls, bookshelves and ceiling and the carpet is going in the morning to reveal hard wood floors.  I can't wait!

I'm invited to a Super Bowl party on Sunday afternoon (to my knowledge it's going to be eight gay men). The host told me we'd be eating around 5 (a sit down dinner). I'm guessing I'll be heading home by around game time.

CSI had an unusual show last night, but I didn't care for the way it was told this week. Oh, I know this was a once in a blue moon style of storytelling for the show, but just not what I like from CSI.

My fella called during IN JUSTICE so I paused the show and resumed it after we hung up. Good show with some great character interaction between the leading men.
