Only 106 posts?

BK and I came all the way to the Apple Store here on 5th Avenue to post.  Why can't all of you find more time in the day to post?

The street fair performance went well - after which we dined at the "Eat Here Now" diner and now we're over here at the Disneyland for adults - the Apple Store.

I could have sworn that there was a different type of store in Manhattan that was referred to as the Disneyland for Adults!

I think they closed when you left New York,

I have to back out and get some new batteries for the mouse - I just changed them two weeks ago, but I guess it's been getting a lot of use or I got bad batteries.

The Apple Store was ridiculous and my five-twenty appointment was finally met at six-ten.  We put Tiger on this here laptop, which took about twenty minutes.  He told me that there would be quite a few updates to attend to when I got home, and boy is that the case - I've got about thirty minutes-worth, and then I'm sure we'll have to restart the computer again for the umpteenth time.

The streetfair was lightly attended but fun, and our number certainly was the perkiest of those I saw, and the only one with staging, rudimentary as it was.

The first two updates are done, but the OSX Tiger updates are going to take - wait for it - an hour.  It installed Tiger 10.4.6 and now it's bringing it current to 10.4.10

The 1st trumpet in the brass quintet at church this morning gigs in NYC a lot, and I recognized him from the "South Pacific at Carnegie Hall" video [w/Reba and Brian S.M.].  He is quite an attractive fellow!

You watched the SOUTH PACIFIC video and the only thing you noticed was the 1st trumpet player?

Batteries have been replaced.  I thought dear reader Ben was going to be at the fair, but if he was I certainly didn't seem him.  Mr. Craig Brockman was there, as were the folks from NYMF, and I also said hello to Scott Siegel and Jim Morgan of the York Theater, both of whom I'm hoping will see The Brain.

Did he stay too long at the fair?  Perhaps he didn't have the fare...

Good Evening!

Back from a day filled with more "Professional Division" Auditions.

:-\

'Nuff said.

There were some good people, just no one Great - and there's usually at least one or two of those.  And among the less-than-good people, there's usually one "funny bad" in the bunch - if you get my drift - but not today.  Ah, well.  Maybe tomorrow.  ;)

And I'm also back from a quite wonderful visit and dinner with DR MattH.  I really had a great time finally getting to meet him in person.  I did get to see part of his collection of DVDs, and, well... It's quite a collection, and I don't think I even saw half of it.

Then we supped at The Landmark - I think that's what it was called - which turned out to remind me of the many Greek-run diners in NYC.  I even ordered one of my diner favorites: sauteed chicken livers.  However, one of my side dishes was something I don't think I've ever seen in NYC: stewed okra.  It was all quite yummy, and very filling.  The portion was huge, and I think I ended up leaving about half of the serving on my plate.

But again, I had a great time chatting with Matt in person after all these years of "chatting" here on the board.  Alas, there's no photographic proof of tonight's meeting even though I had even brought my camera with me.  So, maybe next year.  :)

When do you fly back, DR JoseSPiano?

I'm on a 5:00 flight tomorrow, but since it looks like we'll be done by 1:00(!), I may try to go ahead and fly stand-by on an earlier flight.
