Well, you've read the notes, the notes were coached, and now it is time for you to post until the coached cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: DOUCEUR!
-
And now - Dino at the piano.

First performance following Dino.

INDEPENDENCE DAY
I agree with TRADING PLACES, but umm...INDEPENDENCE DAY?
-
I'll add DREAMGIRLS and SHREK to my list.
-
Good night, Tom.
-
Well, I'm off to bed so that can sleep for a longer than usual time. 8)
Have a good day, all!
-
Well, I'm up to six pages and will try for more, but I'm getting pretty tired. It would be nice to do at least ten, but we shall see.
-
I think I got to nine pages, so that's not too bad and I must go to bed now.
-
First in the morning?
-
First on the East Coast, too!
-
A package from Kritzerland has arrived!
-
Mail distribution seems to have gotten back to normal. They were particularly inundated over the holidays.
-
Good morning, all!!
-
Annabelle is angry with me for the nose drops torture yesterday. She is giving me the cold shoulder and deliberately avoiding me/
She also did not eat breakfast. and that worries me.
-
This is my weekend to finish up the arrangement for the Golden Gate Men's Chorus. I think it will go well.
-
As soon as I wash the cats' breakfast dishes, clean the litter, and make the bed, I will begin.
-
T.O.D.
I've never really been a Murphy fan, though I did enjoy his first couple of movies:
48 HOURS
BEVERLY HILLS COP
-
DR Vixmom keep a couple pieces of the candy and throw the rest away.
-
DR TCB did you say what cruise you are going on?
Asia is all new to us.
-
DR Jan I am glad you have heat again.
-
Good morning, all.
-
I used to be a big Eddie Murphy fan. Saw him do his standup routine, which would be deemed highly incorrect these days.
48 Hrs.
Dreamgirls
Another 48 Hrs.
Trading Places
-
DR Jan I am glad you have heat again.
Me, too. Hope your TV gets fixed soon, too.
-
Two!
-
Last night escaped me. Went to dinner with friends and the first two places we tried were both closed for the holidays. We ended up at Macaroni Grill, which was average.

TV vibes for DR jan
Ditto!
-
During the safety drill we met a couple from Texas, near Houston, and then had drinks with them before dinner. Their cabin is just a few doors down and I expect we will see them again.
-
A new safety tip was introduced at the drill. DR TCB do you recall ever receiving instructions on the proper was to jump off of the ship if necessary?
-
I should try and get some sleep so I am up early to go to the work out room with Keith.
-
'night

I don't know if this was linked here. In breakfast news from the crime desk, when someone's hungry, don't be slow - yikes!

-
Good morning, all.
-
Enjoying a slow Saturday morning here.
Coffee. Warmed up apple pie. Recliner. That kind of thing.
-
Tonight I’m seeing a director friend’s reportedly unique take on Man of La Mancha.
-
All I know for sure is that there’s no band. Just a guitarist and perhaps one or two other musicians in the cast.
Hmm...
-
I have little else to report.
-
Eddie Murphy:
48 Hours (but I really don’t remember much of this one)
Trading Places
Beverly Hills Cop (only saw the first)
The Haunted Mansion
Always liked him, but he wasn’t in much that was good, or that interested me. Hated the Nutty Professor remake. Just a terrible remake all around.

I had to run to Staples and now I'm soaking wet. It's time for a really hot bath.
-
There was a young Asian man working the floor at Staples. He didn't know what Liquid Paper was and because Staples has changed their cover wrapping for their copy paper I could not find what I wanted. He was completely useless.
-
I believe Annabelle has forgiven me for yesterday. We had a nice patrol earlier, and she's retired to her latest Amazon carton, where she seems perfectly content. Thatch remains his heroic schizoid self: when he wants to get close, he's all over me, but when I make a move to pet him or show affection, he leaps away.
-
Bath over, I'm back to my choral arrangement.
-
When I go to Staples for paper, I practically have to look through everything they carry, compare the specs and pricing all over again, and hope I get something close enough to what I've liked before. It's a moving target. I stay away from the obviously expensive ripoffs, but I don't want the cheapest crap either. I see I'm using a ream of their store brand paper now, but not too long ago there was a Xerox branded one that made sense.
And don't even get me started on the difference between what the big box office supply stores offer now (in any category), versus the good stationery stores of the past. It's sad.
-
DR Elmore, next time I'm down there I want to go on patrol with you and Annabelle. Don't know why I never thought of that before.
-
Also, I have a camera recommendation for you from Kristi, for whenever you're ready to think about that. She's sworn by this Canon pocket size one for years, and thinks it would be perfect for capturing indoor shots of the kitties.
-
Up from a nap. Back to dance.
-
Good afternoon!
-
Annabelle and Thatch had a turkey treat while I took a break from the score. I've written five pages, and I'm back to work now.

Where was my head? I should never answer questions that require a shade of intelligence. Obviously, I can't tell Eddie Murphy and Will Smith apart.

A new safety tip was introduced at the drill. DR TCB do you recall ever receiving instructions on the proper was to jump off of the ship if necessary?
Actually, I think that was added on the last cruise I took. I thought it was rather weird at the time.
-
DR TCB did you say what cruise you are going on?
Asia is all new to us.
It is just a Western Caribbean cruise, but it is all stops that I have never been to before. Key West; Mahogany Bay, Honduras; Santo Tomas De Castilla, Guatemala; Costa Maya, Mexico; and then back to Tampa.
-
I'm up, I'm up - almost eight hours of sleep.

Jane, what cruise line are you on this time? And what ship?
-
The cruise is on Holland America.
-
Futzed and finessed, wrote three new pages, and now I'll go see if there's any mail and see what I want to do about food.
-
Continued writing vibes for MR BK.
-
The only way I would be inclined to jump off a ship is if I were thrown off a ship.....
-
Hello, everyone.
-
TOD:
I saw MR CHURCH a few years ago and liked it quite a bit more than BK did. Yes, Eddie Murphy was excellent. In fact, he carried the film. I had him pegged for comedy and was doubtful how this would go. What a surprise! He was so good! Yes, understated. I don't think I've seen any of his other films.
-
DR jan, sorry to hear about your all-around bad day, but pleased to hear you have heat now. May all be well soon.
-
Every time Bruce writes a book I feel like a real slouch.
-
Larry, I wonder if a mist would be better for Annabelle. I don't recall the name of the one i'm thinking of. I'll try to do so and post it.
-
And don't even get me started on the difference between what the big box office supply stores offer now (in any category), versus the good stationery stores of the past. It's sad.
Agree completely. The same can be said of Amazon. I use Amazon a lot, but if I reorder something I must be sure I'm ordering the same product. Options are good, but can be confusing and overwhelming.
-
I have done the laundry and am trying to work up the energy to do a little cleaning.
-
TTFN.

ridiculous.
-
I have done the laundry and am trying to work up the energy to do a little cleaning.
Laundry is now in the dryer.
-
My sister in Germany still hangs her clothes up to dry. I used to do that. I wonder if I should that with some of the clothes.
-
I think I'm too lazy about such things.

He was wonderful when he was on Saturday Night Live

He's a local boy, grew up in Roosevelt on Long Island
-
I have never heard of Mr Church but I shall have to look it up
-
We had a quick breakfast of bagels and sausages and the requisite pot of tea
-
Watched a Dexter episode
-
Then I went to Costco to see my optometrist
-
We've been going to the same independent optometrist for about 10 years now, she gives a really good exam.
-
I bought two pairs of glasses
-
One pair are progressives for everyday and for the first time ever I indulged myself with a pair of sunglasses
-
For the eye exam, retinal exam, and both pairs of glasses it came to $499.95
-
$110 of that was the cost for the exams
-
Then I did a little browsing and grazing around Costco
-
Like you do
-
I escaped purchasing only 2 windshield wiper blades, a container if beautiful big blueberries and some sliced turkeys
-
The trick seems to be do not take a cart
-
Then I went to Stew Leonard's supermarket for some freshly made rice cakes, apples, asparagus and some more grazing
-
The grazing is always good on a Saturday afternoon
-
Picked up packages, got a Spicy Eyetalian Subway sandwich, came home, ate it all up whilst listening to music, and have been writing ever since - nine or ten pages so far, so that's not too bad, other than the fact that I was so unproductive yesterday. So, I'll take a little break for a bit, and then try to write at least another ten or eleven pages tonight. It took me a while to figure out what I wanted to do in this chapter but it's moving along now and I'll actually wrap chapter two up this evening for sure.
-
Maple flavored, roasted pumpkin seeds anyone?
-
Then I went to church and set up for tonight's service
-
Then I popped by my former coworkers house and collected A Carol Christmas cd...we chatted for close to an hour
-
Then I came home and made myself a nice linner
-
Finished up some leftovers...cauliflower casserole, roasted potatoes, and some ham
-
I plan to listen to the CD tomorrow
-
Took a little break for forty-five minutes, and now will write another few pages, then another break, then another few, and so on and so forth, etc, etc, etc.
-
Fourteen pages thus far and just ended chapter two. More break, then on to chapter three and at least five more pages, hopefully even a bit more.
-
Jane, what cruise line are you on this time? And what ship?
Silversea Shadow. We don't care for this ship as much as we enjoyed the Cloud. Staff is still excellent and the passengers friendly.
-
Slightly sweet but embarrassing story. As we were checking n one of the staff walked up and remembered me from the last cruise and asked how my elbow is. She just transferred over to this ship.
-
The only way I would be inclined to jump off a ship is if I were thrown off a ship.....
;D
-
Where in tarnation IS everyone?
-
Finished a movie and will now write more pages then take another break.
-
It's been raining really hard for over an hour.
-
Christine McGuire, eldest of the McGuire Sisters, has died at 92. Time to listen to The McGuire Sisters Sing Subways Are for Sleeping. Great stuff.
And a Middletown connection for Elmore and Ginny.
-
I'm finishing up Erik Larson's In the Garden of Beasts. Really good story.
-
Went dancing tonight. Not many people out. But it was fun anyway.
-
I have a few DVDs from the library to watch, but not tonight.
-
Let's move on ...
-
Five!
-
Vixmom, do you have eye insurance?
-
Good night, all.
-
Back to writing. Still raining out. And just had another sour thing happen that I need to have turn to sweet. Boring, but let's hope we can turn it around.
-
A new safety tip was introduced at the drill. DR TCB do you recall ever receiving instructions on the proper was to jump off of the ship if necessary?
Actually, I think that was added on the last cruise I took. I thought it was rather weird at the time.
It got a good laugh by us and the people around us.
-
DR TCB did you say what cruise you are going on?
Asia is all new to us.
It is just a Western Caribbean cruise, but it is all stops that I have never been to before. Key West; Mahogany Bay, Honduras; Santo Tomas De Castilla, Guatemala; Costa Maya, Mexico; and then back to Tampa.
Sounds interesting. Are you going with anyone?
-
DR Vixmom keep a couple pieces of the candy and throw the rest away.
No
I do it to avoid eating all if I need to lose weight. I just keep my favors pieces.
-
Right now I am eating crap on the ship I don't think is all that tasty food ::)

What a small world!

It's been raining really hard for over an hour.
It's been raining here in Tumwater most of the day.
-
Vixmom, do you have eye insurance?
We do not, but Vixdad puts money into a medical account at work
-
DR Vixmom keep a couple pieces of the candy and throw the rest away.
No

I just won't eat it
-

It's been raining here in Tumwater most of the day.
It rained here all day and night, not heavy but a steady drizzle
-
I am so glad it wasn't colder, that would have been a heck of a lot of snow
-
I've done sixteen pages, but most of what I've written was added to earlier bits because I added the stuff I researched and probably have another two pages of that stuff to do. I also split the long forty-one page first chapter in two - chapter one ends at page fifteen now, and the rest became chapter two.
-
DR Vixmom, can you really just not eat chocolates? I bow to your strength.
-
Good evening.
-
I just woke up after an unplanned nap.
-
The Seattle Seahawks lost to Dallas this evening, so our season is over.
-
Just as well, I will be flying home during the Super Bowl.
-
Page five? Really?
-
Listening to some music and about to write some notes, then I'll take a hot shower, and then maybe do a few more pages.
-
Our windstorm is starting to rap up.
-
The heaviest winds are expected between 2:00 a.m. and 4:00 a.m.
-
The wind has been sweeping up from Oregon.
-
It is pretty quiet at the moment.
-
They finally finished fixing that pipe under my sink this afternoon. That took about three hours.
-
One more post.

-
I was suppose to have lunch with my sister tomorrow, but she called this morning to tell me that they were going to be down at the ocean fr two days.
-
Lunch is now postponed until Friday.
-
Well, I think I will read for a while.
-
Goodnight.
-
Hi, Tom.
-
Good night, Tom.
-
I was watching some TV.
-
I recorded and watched (part of) "Love, Gilda," a documentary on CNN about Gilda Radner.
-
The parts that I watched were very good.
-
DR Vixmom, can you really just not eat chocolates? I bow to your strength.
So do I which is why I have to get rid of it.
