TOD:  I haven't seen it in a long time, but was a real fan of LOVE AT FIRST BITE.  It made me laugh a lot.

My favorite vampire film.

I was feeling sickly last night, so I turned off the lights around 8:30 and slept until 7:30 this morning.  I feel fine, and I believe I will shortly go to my HMO for my flu shot.

I had missed the "flu" part of this and thought you had moved the date of your hip shot.

I just remembered that I have to stay home to wait for the delivery of my Citibank info to reset my PIN for my debit card.  I am currently unable to use it or access my account online.  Damn!!

And you still managed to get your flu shot :)  Do you know which one you got?

We had a lovely day in the aspen leaves yesterday. We also rode the ski lift to almost the top of the highest mountain in Arizona. We were at about 12,000 feet.

You do know how to entertain your young friend.

Didn't catch this yesterday, someone just sent me the link:

The failed Broadway musical I wish every medical student could see

I enjoyed that article. But I thinkSweet Thursday is less melodic. In fact, I really like So Far, Money Isn't Everything, Allegro and The Gentlemen Is a Dope.

Jane, have you ever been to Dmitriou's Jazz Alley in Seattle?  I'm thinking about going to see Leslie Odom, Jr. next month! :D

Leslie Odum Jr was at DePauw University for a lecture last month.....all of the students enjoyed meeting and hearing what he had to say....he also sang.  He met and talked with the cast of COMPANY.....seems to be a nice man.

He did not fill the auditorium.......many from the community attended....but the students stayed away in droves.

DR FJL I can only speak of Tesori in terms of her work.....personally I can have no opinion.

I do not understand how someone can write a song or music for a musical set in the 1920's and NOT ONE OF THEM reflects the jazzy uptempo joy of the time.....

Yes!  I've attended all the videotaping sessions so far.  The first two, I sat in the peanut gallery and last month, when it was about the library, I was on camera, up front.  Tonight, the up-front people are Les Landen, Mike McVey, and Jeff Sams and I plan to be part of the on-camera back-up group.

Glad to hear that JRand is on the mend. I'm pleased the cough syrup helped you. And, yes, it's Boiron Chestal cough syrup. (Sorry I missed some of the name.)

Hi, Ron. I enjoyed your story about having to read your neck for a vampire bite. That got quite a chuckle from me.

I'm not a fan of vampires. That said, I really enjoy THE RIVERS OF LONDON series, which involves all manner of strange creatures. I've never once checked my neck. Is that a good sign?

I didn't sleep well last night, then woke up to plumbing problems. The toilet, which has been a bit wonky for several months, decided to call it quits. I really loathe the plumber they use here, but as it happens he wasn't available, so a Roto-Rooter guy came a little while ago. After checking the toilet out, he said he had to leave. I thought he was going to his truck. That was maybe 45 minutes ago. Hum...
