Last night, my comuter had a major Windows 10 update.  It was taking more than an hour, so I just went to sleep.  I'm about to log on and see what's different. :-\

Whew!  Everything looks good.  Now, I'm off to my sister's.

Does anyone here have the National Theatre Recording of A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC with Judi Dench? If so, is there any way for me to get the mp3 files?  Thanks!

I have it already on mp3 - I can send in google if you'd like.

Can you send it on WeTransfer? I've never had any luck with Google.

Thank you. I don’t know where my copy is. And I want to listen again.

TOD:

I’m not big on Halloween anymore but as a kid, I remember making a fun costume as a headless man. I made a papier mache head with fangs and bloodshot eyes that I carried around. It was fun. Of course, there are no photos. There are few photos of anything that us kids were interested in.

I took a bath.  Thanks to Judy, my apartment - even with two windows open - is hotter than hell.  Yesterday I turned on the AC, but today the cats and I have lazed about in an unwanted lethargy since I do not want to run the AC continually.

It is a shame there isn't a photo of you in that cool costume.  There aren't many of me either, and not as many as there should be of our children.

I have had many wonderful Halloweens over the years, when I was young and when the boys were young.  Nothing exciting has happened in a long time.  Tonight our neighbor will bring her grandchildren over to trick-or-treat.

I used to love Halloween. When I lived in Alexandria, VA Halloween was a very big deal. I don't know how my street came to be THE place to trick-or-treat, but it was. Hundreds of people would show up, with or without kids. Then the Washington Post had an article on us on the front page. As if we needed more people! Sooo many kids would come to the door that there was no point in going inside; most of us would just dress warm and stand outside. Some of my neighbors liked to dress in costume and we never knew who would be whom (or what) that year. And, of course, many parties. Senator Mark Warner lived down at the corner and his property had a patio directly off the sidewalk. One year he decorated that area appropriately and had an old chest with all sorts of ghoulish things inside. He was right there, mingling with the rest of us. Which is how I like my politicians. It was great fun.

No one comes here, which is best, as the stairs aren't very safe. I don't think I've even seen any trick-or-treaters in this neighborhood at all.

I have no news except to say that Choc Zero's Halloween candies are very good. This is the first time I've tried their white chocolate. It couldn't be better.

No one went to Ashland, or has ever come here.  I am very excited a couple of children are coming tonight.  Their grandmother asked a few of us if she could leave candy at our doors and they wouldn't bother us.  I put the pumpkin basket outside for the candy and Keith put a pair of white hands coming up out of the ground.  I said they must "bother" me.  I am very excited.

Yum.  I still haven't tried them.  I would have to order more than I want.

I tried to find a couple of photos to share.  One is of me wearing a Parisian outfit my mother made for me.  The other is of Craig with a nail going through his nose and blood dripping down that Bryan created.
