Well, you've read the notes, the notes told a tale of two lunches, and now it is time for you to post until the two-lunch cows come home.

Continuing from last night...the Indiegogo campaign for Code 8 had three of "Sutcliffe's Marble Ring."  This is the picture from the campaign page:

But this is the actual ring that I received:

It's not hard to tell that those are different rings...HOWEVER, here's a screenshot of the actual ring that the character of Sutcliff wore in the movie:

It is possible that all three rings were worn in the movie in different scenes, but if you look closely, this is too similar to mine to be a different ring.

That's exactly what it looked like when I got it.  And I'm not getting it "fixed."  It actually fits my middle finger, so it stays bent. ;D

It's a dark, rainy morning. The humidity is high, and I want to gop back to bed.

I had one piece of good news: my contract for the ballet is in the works. I'll rest easy when I know the Ohio property sells.

TOD
Carl Hiaasen's novels are not really a series, but characters from one book occasionally wander into another,

For a while, after reading the horror novel Relic, which Amazon now calls Agent Pendergast Series #1, I read books by Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child. After #4 or 5, I got tired of them.

Had dreams of being in a Jane Austen novel. Getting in The Murder of Mr. Wickham shortly before bed must have helped.

I had a good night's sleep, but had the strangest dream.

I was in an office building and needed to get to a different floor. I found an elevator, pushed the button, and the door opened.  A young woman was inside looking a bit put out that I had interrupted her journey.  As it turns out, this elevator only went up one more floor.

From there, I found another elevator.  Many folks were in it and each of us was gong to a different floor.  For whatever reason, every time someone got off, he or she would hold the door and start talking to someone still inside the elevator.  This got to be quite annoying.

I finally got to my floor, found my office, opened the door and no one was inside.  I don't know why or any other thing about this stupid dream.
