Went to see GUTTENBERG! THE MUSICAL with TPunk and it was hilarious, although a 10pm show, well, I guess I'm getting old, but I was running out of steam in the second act.

Before the show, I stopped at Bleecker Street Records, one of the few remaining decent shops in this town, and I found Altman's film IMAGES, which I could not find in Berkeley at Christmas time. So I can add that to my pile of movies to watch someday.

Pehaps I'll peruse eBay. I was looking through old One From Column A columns today, and I see that in one of them I talk about eBay. So, my first eBay dealings were in mid-1997 - it was so new then.

Today I worked concessions for a Putt-Putt Golf fundraiser for and at the Washington Center for the Performing Arts. We had hot dogs and sodas. There were chips earlier in the day (it started at 11:00 am and I didn't get there until 1:30) but they had run out and didn't get any more. By 2:00, over 300 people had gone through and that was twice as many as they had expected and the event didn't end until 4:30! There was very little advertising, being a fundraiser, and since they had never done this before, the expectations were low. It was an unqualified success! AND since they aren't going to do this again until next year, the unopened left-over hot dogs and buns were taken home by us concessions workers. One woman was going to take a whole bunch to the food bank.

I rememeber when I first started buying on eBay...1998 or 1999. You couldn't "watch" anything, at all. You had to bookmark it or bid on something. I bought more than a few things that I really didn't need.

When they instituted the idea of watching items, you had a limit of 20 items. They've made a lot of changes over the years.
