Sort of odd, but all morning they were announcing that Charlies Hamelin would be the flag bearer tonight for canada (he won 2 golds in short track speedskating). He (?) and others confirmed this.

Is there some question as to whether or not Mr. Hamelin is a he?

No, the question is why he would confirm it if it wasn't true.  Maybe he didn't confirm it. When asked point blank if he would be carrying the flag he said, "yes thank you very much."

I have a bunch of new things on tonight: THE AMAZING RACE, DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES, BROTHER'S & SISTERS. And we also have DAMAGES on sundays.  Plus i am definitely gonna watch the closing ceremonies.

I had mentioned earlier that i was surprised that canada got the most golds of any country (14). But apparently that is the most gold, by any country, in any winter olympics. I find that even more surprising.

DR Jane, you will be happy to know that I took pictures of Dixie on her walk at the drainage authority today.

http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v305/minx_the_dog/Once%20More%20with%20Dixie/

Yes I am.  I didn't see titles under any of the photos.  Was the tractor (whatever) part of the drainage photos?

The John Deere is indeed part of the drainage authority, it's on the upper level.
I didn't title the pictures, but, they were all taken today at the drainage authority.

Thanks.  It was fun seeing Miss Dixie there.

Congratulations!

I hope Hamelin didn't think he was carrying the flag.

De-cluttering vibes to Baby of Rosemarie, DR GEORGE.

Thanks!  Mom has come and gone...for now.  We got my TV room cleaned and vacuumed (I emptied the non-bag container at least five times ::)) and tomorrow, we'll do the extra bedroom.  Then, all I have to do is actually organize everything.  That will take quite a bit of time, but I now have the room to do it. :D

Well, today is going to be a very, very, VERY (that's three verys) long day for me.  My house is...how shall I say this?...very cluttered. ::) And today, my mom (Rosemarie) is going to come over and help (make, actually) me clean the upstairs rooms in my house (I also took Monday off from work, just in case we need the extra time).  She came over a couple of weeks ago to help (make) me clean my downstairs and fortunately, it's still clean (my mom has been watching "Horders" :o and doesn't want me to end up like that).

I think it is very cute, & funny your mother "makes" you clean.  I think it is wonderful you seem to be happy about it. :)

Well, I've needed to clean my place for quite some time, but since she's been watching "Hoarders," she probably felt that enough was enough...I need to do it NOW!!

;)

interesting AMAZING RACE tonight - but the lack of basic skills of most of the teams is causing much time loss for several of them.

George, is your condo spotless?

It's as clean as it's ever been.  And I've been able to keep the downstairs uncluttered as well, so hopefully I'll keep everything uncluttered from now on.

Me?  Have a dirty mind??  What would make you say that??  I'm as pure as the driven snow!

Had a pretty nice day.  Did the work session with the film composer and that CD will be terrific - I think it will come out in about six weeks, maybe less.  Attended the gallery opening, which was fun, and then had an early dinner.

I believe it is only ONE WEEK until our annual Oscar Bash!

Alas, due to my flight arrangements next week, I'll be up in the air during said Oscar bash.  Although, I guess I'll be home in time for the West Coast tape delay.  -Will it be tape delayed again this year?

No tape delay on the Oscars

Ah, well. And something tells me my plane will not be WiFi enabled/equipped.

Now it just looks like you're sitting on an amputee.

;D

Grant did a great job - especially with "reconstructing" the chair and rig.

DR ELMORE - it was a fun show.....Ann Reinking was most enjoyable as Rose....with some special dances included for both she and Tommy....  But Tommy should never play a character pretending to be in love with a FEMALE......

And Hugo was so heavy they changed the lyric to:  "He's too smart.....she's too tall...."

I think it was taped in Texas somewhere - and I love the show....clever staging and a terrific Conrad Birdie and Mae.....fun....not gangbusters....but most enjoyable.

Isn't Mae played by the late great Marilyn Cooper?

Yes. And No - depending when you saw the tour. I believe Marcia Lewis also played Mrs. Peterson sometime during the tour.

*Mark Kudisch was Birdie, and Susan Egan was Kim.
