Title: NOTES WITH WIND
Post by: bk on December 18, 2007, 12:23:50 AM
Well, you've read the notes, the notes had much wind, and now it is time for you to post until the windy cows come home.

I love "The Days Of Wine And Roses" and "For Your Eyes Only. :) "Gigi" (I'm ashamed to admit) is the only other song that Tomovoz has listed that I know, and I don't particularly care for it.  I like Lerner and Loewe, but not that one.

I suppose I'll have to think of some on my own...later. ::)

Work today.

I did not watch the CLASH OF THE CHOIRS last night....not sure about that show, though I will watch it once just to see.  I am annoyed at all of the reality shows, although I understand the need for them now.  Maybe the great number of them will help keep them OFF the air when they are no longer needed.

Last night I saw ENCHANTED.....thought it was very good.  I loved the songs and the performances.  Two things got into my hair....and that is a chore, I tell you.....that the dance at the ball was called a waltz....and didn't seem to be.  AND someone I avoid like the plague turned up in a major part....oh well.

I also saw THE WALKER which I enjoyed very much.  (Saw both films because I read about them HERE yesterday).  I think Mr Woody Harrelson should receive an Oscar nomination for his performance....but I thought I was watching a mystery and it turned out to be a character study.  Lauren Bacall (close friend of DR ELMORE) and Lily Tomlin were very good.  Interesting to see Tomlin play the wife of Ned Beatty....which she also did in NASHVILLE.

Is there no end to the pathos and poor-mouthing?

"Survivor: China" fourth runner-up Denise played the poverty card to appeal to Amanda and Courtney to rid themselves of Todd in order to make the final three.  In the finale, which named Todd the winner, Denise claimed she returned home to find she would not get her job back and, instead, had to clean toilets and classrooms, instead....and in a night shift rather than the dayshift she enjoyed pre-Survivor.  Producer Mark Barnett felt so sorry for her he, personally, gave her $50,000.

Today, on the CBS Early Show, the TRUTH was revealed...Denise had voluntarily given up the lunch lady job before "Survivor" in order to become a janitor...for higher pay and better benefits.  When she returned in August, she asked NO ONE about returning to her day shift job as a lunch lady.  She made up the sob story to generate sympathy for her sad, bathetic existence, apparently.

I hope Mark Burnett can stop payment on that check.

DR Ron Pulliam - anxiously awaiting some photographs to go with your lovely word painting.

Don't be too anxious.  As I explained the other day, my mom's computer does not have photo-editing capabilities (i.e., I cannot make them smaller and, thus, acceptable to HHW.com).

I have lots of pictures...but no way to reduce them to 200 KB, or thereabouts.

But prepare for an end-of-2007 onslaught of pix when I return to the Bay Area.

I saw a few little bits here and there of Clash of the Choirs last night.  I'm not really familiar with American Idol, but it seems they've borrowed some things there.  And of the little I saw of the "performances," there seems to be very little emphasis on the actual choral singing - or imaginative musical arrangements.  I guess I shouldn't be surprised.  But I hope that Average Joe American doesn't get the idea that this is what choral singing is all about.

Good morning, all! I looked at the alarm, saw it was 7:30 and closed my eyes for a moment, which lasted until 8:40! So, now I'm up with a few errands and a trek to ENCHANTED (it was Susan Sarandon, DR JRand57?) with Charlotte.  We want to see SWEENEY TODD on Friday, but I can't learn if it's playing at any theatre but the Ziegfeld, and I don't particularly want to schlep into midtown to buy tickets in advance to learn the Friday showings are sold out.  And you're right about the waltz, DR JRand57, and I remember thinking the same thing.

I thought "My Five Packages" was DR MBarnum's fantasy of "My Three Sons."

Our sentiments exactly, DR Singdaw.  I thought the best choral singing occurred in the snippets of Christmas carols that the small groups were shown singing in Rockefeller Center.  Can't remember if they were shown just before or just after commercial breaks.

BK, I was a bad, bad boy and came to the posts before reading the notes, so I just saw your mention of the fantastic Lobo/Buarque collaboration.  I believe if you check the credits (don't have time to right now), you'll see that Lobo & Buarque actually did both the music and lyrics together, but maybe I'm remembering incorrectly.  Lobo has written some exquisite theater music (as has Buarque), most notably, "Memorias de Marta Sare," which fans of a little band I like to call Sergio Mendes & Brasil '66 will know as their most trippy recording ever, "Crystal Illusions," with that Stravinsky-inspired Dave Grusin orchestration.

I've mentioned this before, but Chico is Brasilian musical royalty--he wrote the tune "A Banda," which Herb Alpert fans will remember fondly, he is the brother of Miucha and thus the the Uncle of Bebel Gilberto and brother-in-law of Joao.

Agree with many of the "title songs" listed.

Has anyone mentioned A BOY NAMED CHARLIE BROWN?  A slightly sappy, sentimental song, but I really like a Rod McKuen sentimental number.

The title song for THE BALLAD OF JOSIE has for the most part stayed with me all these years, as has the title song for WHERE WERE YOU WHEN THE LIGHTS WENT OUT?, despite my having seen each of these films only once.

I simply ADORE Doris Day, but THE BALLAD OF JOSIE is one of her films I will NEVER own. TCM showed it over the past year, and as I hadn't watched it since its premiere, I thought maybe I may have misjudged it. I found it WORSE than I remembered.

So many wonderful title songs. In no particular order of preference:

GEORGY GIRL

GIGI

STAR!

I forgot these and HELP! and HARD DAY's NIGHT.  It's even more disconcerting since I saw Jim Dale last night and he wrote GEORGY GIRL!

Hello, everyone!

Just got caught up on the posts. I chuckled at Ron's "make-over". Good for you, Ron!

For Jane, re: Netflix:
I, too, have Netflix and love it. So much of what I like to watch is non-mainstream and Netflix has most of it. I also like being able to keep DVDs as long as I like--there are some things that I need to be in the mood for. I am fortunate to have an excellent video-rental store nearby, Video Vault. They have loads of classic movies, plus a fair amount of the British stuff I adore. The owners and staff are very knowledgeable and are open to customer recommendations. They are a joy and have become good friends. Netflix provides DVDs that Video Vault doesn't carry, and Video Vault is great for those times when my next Netflix DVD hasn't yet arrived. Also, remember that not every movie has gone to DVD and Netflix only carries DVD. As others have mentioned, I've saved myself from purchasing a DVD I didn't care for by renting it first.

I know I had a reason for popping on at this time (just before lunch, actually), but it's gone clean out of my head.

I had some deep, profound, significant thought to share with you all, and now it is like a wisp of mist drifting into direct sunlight...evaporated all to hell.

Oh, well.

Years ago, when I worked at the bank one of the tellers was known for apprehending a robber-sort of.  The bank robber gave her a note demanding money.  She hit him with something & yelled at him & then the bank guard grabbed him.  I don't remember the details anymore, but what a gutsy thing to do. ;D

Good Afternoon!

Well, after having a slight panic/anxiety attack when it was announced that all downtown trains were running express, but seeing that an A express train was pulling into the station... Then sat there for a few minutes... Then when it got to the next station, it sat there for another couple of minutes...  Thankfully, that was the last of the sitting.  I made it down here with a couple minutes to spare.  And, lo and behold, it looks like everyone read the part of the casting notice where it stated that "All roles are precast", so we had a relatively short morning - about 70 women, if that - and we were done by 11:30.

Lunch!

So, since the men weren't slated to start until 2:00 - and I think we have maybe 30 signed up this afternoon - I went ahead and headed on down to Chelsea to get my hair cut.  I had sort of planned to take care of the hair cut tomorrow, but since I had the time today, well... I had about a 10 minute wait for an open chair, but I ended up getting one of my favorite barbers.  And I guess I just had my last hair cut for 2007.  *Chelsea Barber is also closing down for three weeks starting this Sunday while the staff goes on vacation, and while the owner does some light remodeling and reconfiguring.  They'll be adding another chair - for a grand total of four! - as well as replacing the front door.  They should be reopening just in time for my first hair cut of 2008.

Just returned from an exhilirating (not) trip to Border's, where every other denizen who received the 40% off coupon was already waiting in line before the store opened (I thought for a moment there was a new Harry Potter book out or something).  Luckily, only one other person was looking for the HD DVD 5 disc Blade Runner, and I got to the saleslady first (they never have the new releases out at this particular store--you have to find someone to go back in "the cage," as they routinely call it, to get items for you).  This saleslady started out very nice but quickly got snippy when the second person said she wanted the same thing, and this store only had one.  So I tried to tell the saleslady there was another edition without the briefcase and I would gladly take that and give the briefcase edition to this nice other shopper, and the saleslady just got very rude all of a sudden and tried to tell us that she knew all about the "many" version of BR out today and she didn't need our help.  Bah, humbug.  I ended up with the briefcase since the other lady didn't want to spend that much.  We both thought we were very friendly and easy to deal with, LOL.

And after a run to the bank, and a stop at the Chinese bakery for a egg custard bun, I then stopped into an Indian place to get a Chicken Samosa.  It was good - should have been better - especially since the place is "Under New Management".  Ah, well.  For $1.50, is it really worth complaining about to the "new management"?  ;)

Here's a joke we've told here before, but not in a while:

A couple preparing for their wedding meets with the orthodox rabbi for their final instruction.
The rabbi asks if they have any final questions.
The man asks, "Is it true that men and women don't dance together?"
"Yes," says the rabbi, "For modesty reasons, men and women dance separately."
"So I can't dance with my own wife?"
"No."
"Well, okay," says the man,"but what about sex?"
"Fine," says the rabbi. "A mitzvah within the marriage!"
"What about different positions?" the man asks.
"No problem," says the rabbi.
"Woman on top?" the man asks.
"Why not?" replies the rabbi.
"How about animal-style?"
"Of course!"
"Well, what about standing up?"
"NO!" says the rabbi.  "Could lead to dancing!"

One of my "favorite" things about Border's is that their in-store computers will list items as "Most Likely In Store" - at least for titles that they don't keep multiple copies in stock at a time.  I was trying to find a CD box set the other day, and after checking the usual places, I went ahead and asked at the help desk to see if they could check the "real" computer.  Well, the clerk just directed me to the same places I had just looked.  "Well, we must be out of stock."  Of course, since they were featuring CD boxed sets, there were all these small displays throughout the store.  Guess where I found the boxed set I was looking for?

Back from my doctor's appointment - so much for self-diagnosis and self-medicating.  Turns out that the pills he prescribed for what I had in October, which I've been taking since Saturday, are the exact opposite of what I need for my current ailment  ::)

So, while the new prescription was being filled at Kroger, I picked up a few more stocking stuffers (mostly chocolate).

Believe me, I started with the computer and found the "most likely in store," and then went on a snark hunt.  It was only then I sought out the saleslady, about a nanosecond before a woman who had just gone through the same exercise said "I'm looking for the same thing."   ;D

One of the best things about birthdays here, are MBarnum's birthday cards.  The Raggedy Ann & Andy one is adorable.

I never had one of the dolls.  Who here did?

Jane - I didn't have the dolls when I was young, but early in our marriage Richard's mother was on quite a doll-making kick.  Here are the Raggedy Ann & Andy and the Amish doll she made for me.  They are riding on Rob's childhood rocking horse, next to the stairway to our second floor.

Burton re-invents the movie musical (http://www.latimes.com/entertainment/news/movies/la-et-sweeney18dec18,0,6243515.story?coll=la-home-entertainment)

Quote
"Sweeney Todd's" moral ambiguity and complex music led to the creation of what filmmakers say is a new genre.
...
It's as entertaining, artistic and efficient as anyone could make a "Sweeney Todd" film that might appeal to a broad swath of moviegoers. But it doesn't make the work easier to perform and interpret.

For one thing, putting a made-up Depp in Victorian London -- in whiteface, decaying eyes and crazed hair with a skunk-like stripe -- wasn't enough to help the actor find his tortured alter-ego. "Because Sweeney is such an internal character, one of the only times you get a chance to know what he's feeling is through song -- it's his internal monologue," Depp said.
...

Darn good read!

Mine had been sitting behind the sales counter ever since it arrived in the store - we only got two copies - with my SWEENEY soundtrack and my LOST SEASON 3, all of which I picked up this morning; using my 40% coupon and my employee discount, the amount printed that I saved was astronomical.

I <heart> Video Vault.  My dear friend, Mark, loved going there.  They always had all those great Italian horror movies in stock.

For other DRs, Video Vault specializes in cult films and all manner of non-mainstream stuff. they have a website (videovault.com) and will track down hard-to-find films. One of the owners tracked down a copy of MY BROTHER, NIKHIL for me and purchased it, just because I said I heard about it here and was interested.

Good Afternoon!

Well, we ended up with at least 26 Equity men, a few straggling Equity women, and a handful of non-Equity men this afternoon.  And what an afternoon it was!  There are no words to describe that parade of talent that came through that door between 2:00pm and 3:15pm.  Well, there are plenty of words to describe what came in and what "happened", but since I'm not one to dwell on the negative.  I'm just sayin'.  ;)

However, one gentlemen who came in turned out to be the former artistic director of the company that gave me my first real, professional job as a musical director.  So that was cool.

Yes, I watched while they burned  :-[

I did not scream, but I was not a happy camper. Even as a little kid (I was probably 5 or 6 years old) it seemed to me to be rather unneccesary and mean. It wasn't like I even played with them anymore, but I did still enjoy having them.

And after the auditions were completed, I walked up to the Virgin Megastore in Times Square and purchased a copy of the "Sweeney Todd" soundtrack.  For some reason, I was expecting the special edition to have two CDs.  Instead, it's just the 80-page book, plus some extra tracks on the CD (to make it "complete".

"My" Border's was already completely out of the Potter giftsets (in both SD and both HD formats) by the time I got there last week with last week's 40% coupon (or maybe it was 2 weeks ago--it was whatever week Potter came out).  I ended up with Young Indiana Jones.  That's one of the reasons I made sure to be there when the store opened today.

I started the new, new director's cut (not to be confused with the previously single-new director's cut  ;D) of Blade Runner.  It looks pretty fantastic, I must say, though I am not looking forward to the "nail through the hand" shot in hi-def.  I could barely stand it in standard def.   :P

Thankfully, I have three "My Border's" within 15 blocks of each other.  Although, the Columbus Circle branch does seem to pretty good with keeping things in stock - and placing a good initial order.

-Excuse me... Which chords and music do you want me to play?  It looks like it was transposed.

Oh, yes it was.

-So, do I follow the written out notes or the chords symbols?

Start it in that key there, then switch there.

-But then that means I'm starting your intro in a different key.

Oh, I know.  I had someone write it out that way for me.

*Needless to say, neither the chicken scratch notes, nor the hard-to-read pencilled in chord symbols were correct.  :-\

Well, it's actually "mattress-side".

Sir Athelstane indulged in fratricide;
He killed his dad and that was patricide
One night I stabbed him at my mattress side
To keep my love alive,
To keep my love alive.

BK, I'm curious as to the title of the Lobo/Buarque you have.  Both Cambaio and Album de Teatro show either collaborative efforts, or solo, at least in terms of the writing.  There's nothing with music by Edu and words by Chico.  I'm wondering if there's something new out or I have something filed somewhere else that I'm not remembering.   ;D

As written in the notes, the CD is entitled O Grande Circo Mistico.

Just heard from our EQUITY guy and it's a no go to use EQUITY actors in The Brain at the Chance Theater.  The reasons are beyond idiotic and I will be going into this in the notes but plenty.  Basically, the Chance is fifteen miles over the LA County line, which is where Waiver theater stops.  No matter that Waiver theater is in the Valley, Pasadena, and many other places.  So, instead of working with the Chance on this one-off entry for the LA Festival of New Musicals, they preclude actors from working where they'd like to, on a show they'd like to work on, and getting paid $400 to do so (more than NYMF).  Which leads me to the conclusion I'd reached long ago about EQUITY - they don't really care about their membership and they just take the hard line whenever they can.  The best plan they could put the Chance on is $250 or thereabouts a week.  This is a forty-nine seat theater, so one can easily see the folly of that plan.

Lunch!

If all the roles were precast, what were the 70 women doing there?

Yes, I watched while they burned  :-[

I did not scream, but I was not a happy camper. Even as a little kid (I was probably 5 or 6 years old) it seemed to me to be rather unnecessary and mean. It wasn't like I even played with them anymore, but I did still enjoy having them.

After that I did keep my favorite toys hidden.

I bet you kept them hidden.  You were so young, it is hard to imaging you were considered too old for dolls, maybe by a father but not a mother.

*However, there were no swings last summer at City Center, and for the upcoming Broadway production, they will need to cast four swings (two men, two women), so there are some slots open.  Just no "roles" open at this time.

If you stay at the Sportsman's Lodge see if you can get a room in the back, off of the garden.  It is away from the pool & quieter, plus having a bit of grass and flowers is nice when surrounded by the city.

I watched THE FUGITIVE KIND this week.

Mr Marlon Brando looking so so so handsome.

Ms Anna Magnani giving a stunning performance.

Mr Victor Jory homely.

Ms Joanne Woodward at her Method-y worst.....with ONE really nice monolog delivery....but unfortunately with three monologs.

AND guess who was one of the dialog directors?

Someone mentioned here just last week for some reason I cannot recall:

Mr Mickey Knox

Victor Jory homely!  And Anna Magnani was not?

I wonder if Allison ever stayed in one of the rooms at the Sportsman's Lodge, JRand? After all, it was a long drive over the hill to her Hollywood home...at night...in the dark...on that windy road...of course she would have to sign in as Mrs. John Smith...just to keep the gawkers away.

My guess is - no.  At least it was never reported by Hedda or Louella.

Or Walter or Earl for that matter.  8)

We had fun today. Besides seeing Santa (shhh, he's actually a friend of Anthony's). When we got to SantaLand we had to whisper sotto voce to the elf that we wanted to see a special Santa. Our wish was granted and we were taken to David's, oops, I mean Santa's, workshop. The technology is amazing. The picture looks great and it took minutes to complete. I remember when you had your picture taken and then waited a couple of weeks if not longer for them to be mailed to you. Ahh, the modern world.

After a visit with Santa we walked over to Lord and Taylor's and looked at their windows. The theme is Christmas in different lands. We then came home for lunch and a nap (like good kids). We had chicken noodle soup with crackers and I cut a kiwi in half, some for Ant and some for me.

I finally made some headway on this song - it's been like beating a dead horse.  I wanted to cut it, but the author thinks it's great and wants it in.  I'd fixed the music several days ago, which was a huge deal, but that works fine now.  But his lyric is unfocused and, more importantly, unfunny, which is not good for a comedy song.  It's a Secret Serviceman's lament for the good old days of J. Edgar Hoover, kind of like Those Were The Good Old Days from Damn Yankees.   Today, I finally got about half of it where it's now mildly amusing, which is 500% better than it was in that regard.

Besides hating and persecuting Jews, Blacks, and Gays, and bugging people's phones and doing smear campaigns, what are a couple of other infamous Hooverisms?

We've discussed this before, a long time ago, but there's a very funny musical about Hoover co-written by Harry Shearer available on LA Theatre Works--J. Edgar!, with Kelsey Grammer as Hoover.  "Mr. Hoover, anarchist on line 3."   ;D

Well, I'm about 3/4 of the way through the new, new director's cut of BR whilst listening to the director's commentary.  He has thus far refused (sometimes in contorted language) to refer to Sean Bean by name.  Every other actor has been named when they're on screen, but Bean is always "that one," "the girl," "her," etc.  What's up with that?  I know Bean had some mental issues vis a vis James Woods, but did she lose it with Scott, too?

I was thinking about how much I love MOST of the James Bond title songs, with ON HER MAJESTY'S SECRET SERVICE'S "All the Time in the World" being tops on my list, but, it's not really a "Title Song," is it?

I really like what Shirley Bassey does with "Moonraker," in addition to her superb vocals on "Goldfinger" and "Diamonds are Forever."  It's a pity that her "Mr. Kiss Kiss Bang Bang" and "Thunderball" aren't heard often.

I am confused... what is "BR"   and isn't THIS Sean Bean?

Why is the director referring to him as "the girl" and "her"?

I was thinking about how much I love MOST of the James Bond title songs, with ON HER MAJESTY'S SECRET SERVICE'S "All the Time in the World" being tops on my list, but, it's not really a "Title Song," is it?

I really like what Shirley Bassey does with "Moonraker," in addition to her superb vocals on "Goldfinger" and "Diamonds are Forever."  It's a pity that her "Mr. Kiss Kiss Bang Bang" and "Thunderball" aren't heard often.

Actually All the Time in the World is not song over the main titles. The main titles have an instrumental

It would seem that all the historic, funky, kitschy hotels and motels are in the downtown area of Los Angeles, and that is not really where I want to stay. Of course they are also quite cheap.

Most of my business, aside from one day with Rad Fulton and maybe a visit to Amoeba and to Larry Edmunds Bookstore, will have me in the valley...North Hollywood, Northridge, Canyon Lake, etc. and for the first four days prior to the Ray Courts Show I just want to stay in a fun sort of motel that just says vintage!

You wouldn't think that would be so difficult to find.

DR Michael S, basically a progressive image repeats the image twice while an interlaced image doesn't. The repetition happens in nanoseconds, and the repeated image registers in our brains as a slightly smoother and sharper picture. But unless you have a super large screen, it's likely you won't notice any difference at all.

And tonight I came home to 2 wonderful things---the first being the illuminated reindeer grazing in the woods in front of our house. These came with the house and although I had wanted to put them out, we weren't set up for it, power-wise.

Greg had been thinking about it and although he was very sick today (he caught what I am just getting rid of) he decided to surprised me with the reindeer. So now we don't look like the Scrooge family anymore in our new neighborhood, which seems to have every house decorated.

Surprise #2 was a delightfully tempting box of chocoate Godiva goodness from Elmore, Man of Danger. I and holding off until tomorrow when my best friend is here, and I'm sure we shall polish them off between the 3 of us.

Oh, well since Greg is sick and he can't taste anything, surely he wouldn't be interested! Heheheh...

Jose, the concert sounds like it was wonderful. And thanks for the Carnegie Hall link. (Makes me want a Starbucks!)

I haven't been to the ground-level hall since it was a movie theatre (I was there when they reopened it as a theatre in the late 80's) but I always thought it would be more suited to concerts because of its "aspect ratio". I'd like to hear a concert there.

Looking thru the photos of those who have passed away this year, I was surprised to see that John Inman from ARE YOU BEING SERVED had died from Hepatitis A.  I realize that he was 71, but that seems a strange cause of death.

One careless food handler can contaminate a dish with Hep A.
The elderly are more likely to die of the resulting infection for which there is no cure!

After all the discussion on this here board about the new movie ENCHANTMENT, I talked my buddy Jim into going to see it on Friday night.

Actually, he didn't take much coaxing...he said yes and didn't even know what the movie was. He must need to get out!

Repeat three times after me...

ENCHANTED
ENCHANTED
ENCHANTED

And, yes, you can blame bk for that one.  ;)

Gosh, it was actually in a classy film like DINER?

I miss all the classy films.
I've not seen Porky's, American Pie, KFM or indeed Diner.

I don't get out much.

I see on the internet that some bloggers feel that moment in DINER was the inspiration for the award-winning Justin Timberlake number "D**k in a Box."

"Enchanted" starts here on boxing Day. (Dec 26th - traditional time for giving the servants their Christmas gifts or boxes)  We have to wait until late January for "Sweeney Todd"

But seriously, DINER was a major critical hit and very well-respected.

"Diner" is quite a wonderful movie.  One of Barry Levinson's "biographical" pics.

I bought Mr Timberlake's song "Cry Me a River" (for $1). I assumed it was the old Julie London favourite.   I tried to find a melody!

And if you look closely during that scene, you can see the back of the head of my high school English teacher in the diner.  He was a "featured extra" in the film.  He actually gets quite a bit of screen time, even though none of his "dialogue" is every featured.

There's another similar scene in the Tom Cruise movie, "All The Right Moves" involving a school desk.

I'll store "diner" away in my memory bank to register again when I look in the cheap bins!

Well, the current DVD release edits out Mr. Cruise bits'n'pieces in that one scene now anyway.  ;)

The other Levinson "Baltimore movies" are: "Tin Men", "Avalon", and "Liberty Heights".

It's amazing to think of the actors who basically got their start - or at least continued their "start" - with "Diner": Paul Reiser, Steve Guttenberg, Daniel Stern, Ellen Barkin, Tim Daly, Mickey Rourke, and Kevin Bacon.

Didn't care for "Tin Men" but liked "Avalon". (The Newman score was great)

Now now, Jeffrey, I was a big fan of Herb Alpert AND Sergio Mendez.

Sergio Mendez - isn't he Mexican chef or something?

Well, I didn't get as much stuff done tonight as I had sort of planned to get done in preparation for my trip back down to Virginia for the Christmas holiday, but at least I got my hair cut today, and that will "save" me a good chunk of time tomorrow.  I also washed all the clothes in my hamper - and folded them too - and I'll just wash the towels tomorrow night.  So, tomorrow will be a day filled with errands, cleaning and packing.  -And, undoubtedly fretting about what errands to run, which cleaning to do, and what I need to pack and not pack.  So...

Goodnight.
