Yes, Jose - brilliant suggestion.  I must now view tapes aimed at two to five year olds.

Does THE MAD ADVENTURES OF RABBI JACOB qualify as an art-house film?  I think it started off art-house in the U.S. but then went a little wider in selected cities.

BK. are you looking at TV stuff or also Disney straight-to-video features?  If you come across HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME PART II, Skip wrote three songs for that one.

Tuesday greetings!  I'm back at work today after 10 glorious days off.  DH Richard is home doing laundry and other house-husbanding duties.

Heigh-ho, the glamorous life.

It worked!  Got back there, unplugged, replugged and all is well in VCR-land.  A million thanks for the brilliant suggestion.

If I remember correctly, Jose made the suggestion, and for once, we can gladly blame Jose for his suggestion!

Here's a question for those of you willing to participate:

What does the term "white trash" mean/imply to you?

The "guests' on Jerry Springer

Joey Buttafucco, Amy Fisher, Tonya Harding, The Gottis

People who wear T shirts sporting vulgar phrases

People with bumper stickers that say " My Kid beat up your honor student" or "Don't like my driving call 1-800- F...." well you've seen them

I am right this minute listening to THE BEST OF JOE AND EDDIE, a wonderful folk music duo from the early 60s who I discovered (for myself) when I recently watched the Peter Breck/Ruta Lee film HOOTENANNY HOOT!

The promos I'm doing are for one show on The Disney Channel - for little kids.  I've watched one episode and am about to start another - it's very sugary and is making my teeth hurt.  What we need is another Soupy Sales type of kids show.

Or is it a brand new show?

And now, after some gentle stretching, I'm going to head out for a brisk walk, jog, etc.

I just remember HOOTENANNY HOOT for the most horrific choreography by Hal Belfer (I think)....hideous!!!

The title song of "Hootenany Hoot" (Sheb Wooley) was Top ten hit here in OZ DR MBarnum. (As indeed was "Hootannany" by The Glencoves) - 1963.

Joe & Eddie's "There's A Meetin' Here Tonight" was very much a one hit wonder here in Melbourne but the duo was very successful in Adelaide!

Yes, it was Hal.  And right after his stunning work on DON'T KNOCK THE TWIST!!

Buy that album DRMBARNUM.  I just bought - for $1.99 plus s/h, an album of the Trapp Family singers singing the songs from THE SOUND OF MUSIC.

This album claims that the Von Trapps took their musical mentor Father Franz Wasner with them when they went over the Alps, and he lived with them for the rest of his life.  That sure wasn't in the movie!

I would buy the album except that I have nothing to play it on  :-\

Perhaps it is an album that DR Rodzinski would have an interest in?

Here is the Ebay link...now don't everyone go biddin' on it all at once!

I imagine Joe and Eddie would have become much bigger had Joe not crashed his car on the Santa Monica freeway in 1966 while on his way home from his appearance at the Cosmos Club (I have been reading the liner notes!). Very sad...he was only about 25 years old.

Michael, if you really want it, bid and if you get it, I can make a CD from it.  I have my record player hooked up to my computer.  Pretty slick. ;D

Whatever you do, don't do Belfer's choreography at the same time!  :P

Today is National Speak Up and Succeed Day.

It is also National Peanut Butter Day.

(Personally, I would suggest swallowing the peanut butter before trying to speak clearly, of course.)

Today is the late John Belushi's birthday.  He was born in 1949 and would've only been 57 years old.

JRand55, here is a DVD double feature you might enjoy...it is called RETURN TO TROY, but is a double feature of the Mark Forest film LION OF THEBES and the Gordon Mitchell/Jacques Bergerac epic FURY OF ACHILLES.

It's not Jojo's Circus - it's called The Doodlebops.  A rock group for the pre-kindergarten set.
