My presentation is this morning so I shan't be around much. I'm heading downstairs to make sure everything is in working order, unlike my silly colleague who did Part One of the presentation yesterday. He does it every year and he never seems to learn. He doesn't use Power Point (not that he has to, God knows people overuse PP) and the handouts are ridiculous. They are even more ridiculous when he begins to photocopy them 20 minutes before his presentation and then runs into problems with the copy machine and doesn't have a staple remover and he's late for his own seminar! Thankfully, we don't present together. He comes off looking unprepared and unprofessional so my time this morning looks fresh and together. Am I bragging? Maybe a bit, but I'm also happy that he shoots himself in the foot like this become some people in this organization seem to be blinded by his "charm" and I use the word with caution, feeling he is quirky and adds new elements to a presentation. If you call hemming and hawing and participants looking at their watches new elements, far be it from me to complain.
On that note, I'm outta here for a while.
Later, gaters.
