Did the New Zealand film (starring Anthony Hopkins) "The World's Fastest Indian" meet with success in the USA?  We watched it the other night  - charming.

And Charming is "Love is Like Water" which I just played for DP Colin.

I love the "heart" of "The Last Starfighter".

Who threw the overalls in Mrs. Murphy's Chowder?

I've just inscribed about twenty books for cast gifts.  I'm giving Writer's Block, since it's musical theater-related.

NZ has more than Hobbits.

I know a few DRs enjoyed "Whale Rider" too.

Now that I've been sitting here for a bit, I'm actually getting a bit "yawn-y" - as opposed to Yoni or Yanni.

If you "got" any Yoni, I'd be a little suprised... ;)

I've been watching Funny Face, which despite the considerable charms of Mr. Astaire and Miss Hepburn, the songs mostly by the Gershwins, and direction by Stanley Donen, remains a film that I just can't get with and I've tried and tried from the first time I saw it in theaters when it came out.  I think I'll finish it when I return to LA.

I am watching a DVDr of an old Allied Artists movie titled FOOTSTEPS IN THE NIGHT, but the darn disc keeps freezing up ever 5 minutes. I then have to stop the disc and restart it. It is most frustrating, but I am determined to learn who the murder is, so guess I will stick with it.

Perhaps it wa too many spoiler requests.

My recommendation from the other night "Jindabyne" might be of interest to you DR Jane.  "Ten Canoes" and "Rabbit Proof Fence" are also (IMHO) worthy films from this side of the world.

We all already did - after "Austentatious," I called Erin and she (and a few other people) were at Blockheads - a good little Mexican restaurant there in the World Plaza (or is it the Worldwide Plaza?)...we all had some margaritas (BJ and Brainiac Joe Jackson were there, and Elmore joined us shortly thereafter).

Now, my mother and I are here, watching "Young Frankenstein."   :D

So... Just something to think about...

Brunch tomorrow?  Just wondrin'.

Yes!

We had a great brunch with Peter before our shoot today at Barney Greengrass on 86th. (Near Elmore?) Best whitefish I've ever had. Yummm!

I wonder if DR EDISAURUS went on the roller coaster in her MaidenForm Bra?

I did wear it (or was I just DREAMING?) but The Cyclone, alas was done fore the season. I was very happy to hear that it won't be torn don't as part of the redevelopment, neither will the Wonder Wheel (whih we did ride!)

So, Brooklyn Diner at 10:45? I'm trying to find out before we head over to Grand Central to get Greg's ticket to go to his location tomorrow.

Brunch tomorrow?  Just wondrin'.

I would love to do brunch but I've got the morning rehearsal, and then some hours at the office before the evening show.  The talented Alex Rybeck is coming, my friend Bob from the NYPL Music Division, as well as a whole lot of HHW confreres and I'm sure there will be many more wonderful folk as well.

Ohmigod, BK, I've always felt the same way about FUNNY FACE!
