(I only turned it on after you gave the results, because I thought it was supposed to begin at 7 p.m. local time.)

George can’t we watch David Blaine on the West Coast-not that I care to.   ;D

It was live on the East Coast and tape delayed on the West Coast.  It won't be broadcast for another hour.

That seems pretty silly -- it's a two-hour show which begins out here after the whole thing is already over. Who out in the west would bother to watch it?

I'm sort of interested to see how they fill two whole hours (minus a third of commercial time) for (potentially ;)) a nine-minute stunt.

I know!  What is the point of calling it "live" when just about every on-line news source (who deems it worthy of being reported on) will report on it the moment it's actually over and not give the entire West Coast the chance of any surprise??

Great news about the cover story, PennyO!!

Also Penny, I've put in a reservation for next Monday's performance of "...in the absence of spring..."  Afterwards, I hope we can chat for a few! ;D

Swell! I hope you will stick around after the Q and A, so we can have a hearty Haines His Way hug! I'm so glad you're going to come to this - I love the play, and LOVE my role...

I finished LOVELY TO LOOK AT when I turned back on the equipment. My lord, that fashion show has such overenhanced colors coming from that hallway that they bleed all over everything until the camera can move away from it.

There was also Martini and Rossi.

Of Asti Spumanti fame.

I liked their Christmas commercials.

Didn't have time for THE SOPRANOS tonight, but I did get to last Thursday's THE OFFICE, a painfully funny outing where Michael discovers there's a complaint file and insists on airing the office's dirty laundry of complaints against each worker by their co-workers. We got lots of interesting character backstory with these complaints, some very funny and some truly pathetic. And, something climactic happening with Jim and Pam. Drama on a comedy show!

HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER had some genuine laughs tonight, one of the more enjoyable episodes lately. Maybe the show is finding its footing as it nears the end of its first season.

'24' gripped my attention thoroughly, anoither suspenseful hour full of surprises and betrayals. Only three hours left of this particular day. There is still much to happen if we're going to have closure. And since the show has been renewed for next season already, we may not get closure this year.

As for MEDIUM, I really enjoyed the episode until . . . .

spoiler - - - - - - - -

Kelsey met Kelsey in Allison's last dream of the evening. I found that overly contrived and completely unsatisfying. Death came too quick and too coincidental and partially ruined what I thought was one of the more interesting murder concepts of the season.

Back from the editing room.  I was determined to be out by eight-thirty and I was.  Hoo and ray.  Matt and I did a commentary track - we had a great time and it just flew by - lots of anecdotes and funny stuff, plus some nice informational stuff, too.  I'll be picking up standard and anamorphic DVDs tomorrow afternoon, which I'll have to proof, but that should be it, hopefully.

I must now sit on my couch like so much fish.  Had part two of "the conversation" this evening via cell phone, and I once again listened to what was being said and then spoke my piece very nicely but strongly.  We'll have an in person conversation tomorrow night, and that will pretty much decide the ultimate path that's being taken.  Right now, there's an attempt to divide two of the issues into separate parts, one to deal with now (the biggie) and one to deal with way down the line - but, for me, it's all part and parcel and both have to be resolved before I'll decide which road to go down.

Well, I didn't watch much of David Blaine, at all.  I saw about the last two minutes of him holding his breath because when I got home, I started watching "How I Met Your Mother" (I got home later than I thought, thinking that I didn't have anything to watch...it just totally went out of my head!) and "Two and a Half Men," then it totally hit me that I was missing "The Apprentice!"  So, I instantly started taping "2&1/2M" and "Old Christine" and watched both "The Apprentice" and "Medium."  Since I knew how David Blaine turned out, I didn't care to watch the filler...and I came across the results because of non-HHW Internet sites anyway, so the spoilers didn't ruin it for me.

My ex-boyfriend (we're still friends) sent me an e-mail with this joke:

Quote
The famous Olympic skier Picabo Street (pronounced Pee-Ka-Boo) is not just an athlete... she is now a nurse currently working at the Intensive Care Unit of a large metropolitan hospital.

She is not permitted to answer the hospital telephones any longer.  It caused too much confusion when she would answer the phone and say...

Picabo, I.C.U.

Just had to share. ;D
