This has been a piece-of-crap day: I'm ready to quit Life Begins At 8:40 from all the tsuris, and now I've had my first bad round of FINIAN'S RAINBOW: Bruce Pomahac is my date to the opening night performance, and I've been told, in so many words, that because I'm low echelon in priority of people needing asses kissed and egos stroked, I cannot bring a date to the opening night party. I was looking forward to a good time with one of my best friends and now I'm really pissed. I was told by the RSVP person "We are unfortunately asking a lot of people who put a lot of time and effort into our production to limit themselves to one party pass." I wrote back, "I wasn't asked, I was told." Fuckem.

Tell them you will bring an extra chair.  You MUST go DR ELMORE.  It is outrageous that your friend is excluded.  Who MAKES these decisions?

Bruce Pomahac says it's propbably some intern feeling powerful. I've cc'd all correspondence to Rob Berman, our wonderful musical director. He loves Mr Pomahac, who's a big supporter of Rob, and I think Bruce will be my guest at the party before the week is out.

"Before the week is out"?  It's only Tuesday! (a Mrs. Lovett reference ;))

Okay, it's time to head down to the theatre and catch tonight's performance. Ron Raines and his wife are coming to the show tonight. We'll see if anything's going on about the opening night brouhaha.

I watched ELIZABETH THE GOLDEN AGE some time ago, and I am now watching ELIZABETH - backwards in history I know....but most enjoyable films.

I MUST remember that Queen Mary I was Elizabeth's half sister and Mary Queen of Scots was her cousin.  Sometimes I mix up my Queens.

DR Ginny re: your elevator sitauation.

Unless you or your husband has some ailment that would make walking stairs painful I think you should think of this situation as a blessing. Think of all the great exercise.  It sounds like a pain to have to walk the stairs. But it could do wonders for your health.

What a day of shipping, but everything is shipped, save for three overseas packages that will go out tomorrow morning.

Actually, I just got back from two hours at the dentist's office, and I feel like I just went ten rounds with Mike Tyson (except I still have both ears).

LOL!  Too bad Nicky can't use the video camera.  It would great to have film of me trying to drink juice, while it dribbles out of the side of my mouth.

Aww, I'm sorry you had two hours of dental fun today! I hope you feel better soon! (And take some Advil as soon as you can swallow without dribbling. Your mouth might not be so sore later on.)
