You should take along an FM radio and some headphones, then you could listen to the movie at the volume level you want.
Were they also showing DUNKIRK at the drive-in?
Good night, George.
I must step out this morning and pick up September's meds from my pharmacy. This afternoon, I think I will do laundry and get that out of the way before I start packing for my trip.

I actually did that! At lunch yesterday, I went to Fred Meyer and bought little radio that included headphones. There was a little bit of hiss throughout tye movie, but I was able to control the volume and it didn't adversely affect my niece.
And thank you all for those vibes. She's doing really well and is even going up and down stairs, however slowly and carefully. Which I personally find amazing, considering they made an incision the size of a C-section! But they wanted to check everything, and that's what it takes.
The reports I'm getting from San Antonio are not great. Grocery stores are running out of food (yes, even canned sauerkraut, though I think the Doritos went first).

Can you buy what you need now and drive it home with you?
No idea what we will watch this weekend.
Just hope the hurricane doesn't knock out our power or cause other problems.

My house is overloaded. Got about 15 different types of gin, 22-15 types of tequila, bourbons, scotches. Oh, and water--as a mixer, of course. Plus canned goods galore.

DR John G, I wish you could stay in Kentucky until the storm threat passes...
I just went out and filled my gas tank. Other people had the same idea.
I dreamed that Eddie Murphy killed me. God alone knows why it was Eddie Murphy, but I dreamed that he had flipped out and was on a killing spree in Middletown, OH. So, I was at the First National Bank building on Central and Main when he showed up, and I took the stairs to the basement, where I hid in an office with Whoopi Goldberg. After shooting his way though the building, he came to us, spoke a bit to Whoopi and then turned and shot me in the head.
DR JohnG, it looks as though all hell will be breaking out in Texas with the hurricane, so be careful on your drive.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Safe Travel and Hurricane Vibes to our DR JohnG! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Can you set the radio to the movie channel or plug it into something?

At this drive-in, they broadcast the soundtrack over an AM radio station. As far as I know, there isn't anything that you could otherwise just plug your own speaker into.

You obviously have your priorities in order.

A new concept to me for a drive-in. Then your niece had her own radio and headset?

No. She used the car radio using only the speakers in the back of the car. With her hyperacusis, she can't use headphones at all.
Fred, I really enjoyed your I WILL SURVIVE parody.
Good news about DF Kristi!
Vibes for a speedy recovery.

Why am I surprised by this? :)
Though the canned goods do surprise me. Here I imagined ALL of John G's meals were gourmet and prepared from scratch.
;)
And I have 2 closings tomorrow. One at 9 am and one at 7 pm
Here I am - the new and improved Jrand67!
DR JANE not sure how to do the color change manually.....sometimes lately certain words just POST in color.....another BookFace improvement.

I have the canned goods because I rarely eat them.
Sending category 4 vibes to the Texas coast.
Well, I'm off. My friend Margo and I are going to see "Spider-Man" (the re-booted reboot).
Be back later.
Eat some heavy fatty meats - you'll sleep instantly.

I tell you, George and TCB are in for a bitch-slapping of epic proportions. Speaking of epic proportions, perhaps I had one snack too many.
