My question for ASK BK day.....if when filming a movie a take is exposed but NOT printed.....is the exposed film destroyed?

Not at that time, I don't think, but eventually I'm sure they nuke it - not sure.

ASK BK

If you were to act in a film or play portraying a living or dead (or both) person who would it be?

If I were younger, Danny Kaye.  At my age, probably Golda Meir.

Actually, I only believed that the package was delivered - not delivered correctly.  That way, at least, you know it's not still in transit or lost in Boston.

I, too, would never send out an original and only copy of something.  I learned that the hard way.  That said, I'm sure Dakota Celt will get it back to 3DDiffusion - I, too, read the post where she said she had it ready and offered an apology.

Deutsche Grammophon will become the first major classical label to offer over half its catalogue online for download, the division of Universal Music Group announced yesterday.

DG aims to digitize and make available their back catalogue as well.  :)

A new Pinkerton has joined the second cast of the Madama Butterfly revival opening this weekend at San Francisco Opera. James Valenti, a 29-year-old tenor with a rapidly rising career in Europe.

I have yet to download an album from iTunes or anywhere else.  I just can't bring myself to do it, nor is there anything I must have.

Not at that time, I don't think, but eventually I'm sure they nuke it - not sure.

I often wondered what happened to the one-day of filming that Judy Garland did on Valley of the Dolls.  Barbara Parkins and Robert Viharo both said that director Mark Robson didn't get any footage he could use.  So after I thought about it, probably none of it was printed even though it was exposed....and eventually went the way of destroyed film.  Why would they process film that they couldn't use?  ;D

And so 40 years later, I figure out why none of the footage was available for the DVD.  At least that's what I figured.  ;D

Good Afternoon!

...Or I could just stay put for the next couple of hours... finally unpack my luggage from Thanksgiving (and the cruise :-\), do some laundry, sort through some mail, drop off some clothes at the dry cleaner up the street, and maybe even watch a program or two off the DVR while I'm waiting for the laundry to dry...  Yeah, that's the ticket.  ;)

Or you could really throw him off by asking for a cup of plain coffee.

Ohh... Does this mean that Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau's recording of Barber's "Dover Beach" and the Three Songs, Op. 45 will finally be available on CD and/or for download.

I remember listening to those Op. 45 songs in Song Literature class in college.  Some amazing poetry, set to some wonderful music - and very gratifying piano parts.

1. Now Have I Fed And Eaten Up the Rose
2. A Green Lowland of Pianos
3. O Boundless, Boundless Evening

Yes, Thomas Hampson does a fine job with them on the Complete Songs set that DG issued a couple years ago, but my first exposure to the show was Fischer-Dieskau's recording.... And you never forget your first love.  ;)

It isn’t all that difficult to miss a response.  I believe most of us have done so.

Possibly not all Dear Readers realize you can click on a person’s name & then easily check their posts.  It is often the easiest way to search for a response to a question I have asked.
