I've had a lovely day off from work, but need to get something together for der Brucer's din-din.  Laters.

Page Eight Dance...

Hmmm, I'm not sure I know any dances that come eight beats to the measure.

Hisaka told me that she has such a tough time with English she gets embarrassed posting...I told her that her posts made more sense then most of mine.

So mainly, she just doesn't feel comfortable posting in English.

MBarnum is correct - she's not comfortable with her English yet - a shame.

Hmm... I just received "confirmation" that the hours - well "days" - that I had put in for another gig a few weeks ago were never turned into the production's payroll office.  However, they're able to cut a check on the fly, and I'll have it in hand tomorrow.  -Must be something in the air.

I'm still waiting for the pretty sizable check for the second half of my fee for the Cinderella pre-record.  They are telling me tomorrow (an Annie reference).

Today I got my CHristmas present to myself - a 22" widescreen LCD computer monitor. Wow! Is this screen big! I don't need glasses or contacts to read this thing. It is humongous!

Again with a longing sigh-the big screen doesn't help my vision all that much ??? ;D

Congratulations on the new screen! :DThe widescreens are nice.  I traded mine to Bryan for his square one.

I know DR Matt's new monitor must be nice, but I wonder if it has stereophonic sound!

Well, long-sleeved T-shirt anyway! :D

;D Still works for me, as long as I can find one to fit over this splint.

Yes photos please DR Laura.

I stopped into a book store on the West Side, and let's just say I made an incredible score, an extra copy of a VERY pricey book, which I will now turn around and resell to a dealer friend for large profit.

***GARAGE DOOR VIBES***
to DR Cillaliz!

Thanks....the news is....I'm getting a new garage door, new opener and everything.  The gears were stripped, the springs were shot and the door is rotting out.  SO, I could have gotten cheap new springs and a new opener or I could get the 18 foot (long story but I can't have 2 doors I have to have one 18 footer) steel insulated door, new opener, new track, new springs, the door opening weather stripped and the openers and wireless remote for about $400 more.  It's a promotion they have going. Since I'm going to have to get a new door in the next couple years, I'm biting the bullet and going for it.  I really hate to spend the money right now, but we don't always get to choose when things need replacing.

Seriously, I knew it was all going to need to be replaced when I bought the house...I was just hoping it would last a little longer.  The best part of it is that it will do a much better job keeping the cold air and wind out of the garage...which is attached to the laundry room...which is so cold it has a built in space heater.

Ok, I freaked out about spending all the money I have to spend at a time when I'm feeling pretty strapped for cash, but after venting to my mother and to Paul, I've decided to just accept it and move on.  And I can't wait to have the new door!

I was out carousing with Carmen Sandiego.

Where in the world was that?  And if this has been asked several times already - ignore the post, I'm posting as I read

Did you hear that Helio and his fiance called off the wedding and broke up?  Hmmm....wonder if there was more to the kiss than we thought...
