I find that curious since I believe the body tends to add weight for the winter to keep you warm. I know around October I had to fight extra cravings, something I never experienced living in So. California.
Happy to say we are fully cast for the January Gardenia show - Zachary Ford, Juliana Hansen, Kim Huber, Damon Kirsche, and Alet Taylor, with special guest star Millicent Martin. The show is called The Stephen Sondheim Albums.

I finally got last Sunday's DEXTER finale. So I will watch that tonight. And I have yesterday's TOP CHEF allstars. Can't wait for the season to appear on DVD, so I can watch it all.
Just finished a batch of cut-out shortbread Christmas cookies that I will freeze for about a week and decorate just in time for the big holiday weekend. I discovered that I'm very low in the strength required to knead all the flour into the dough. Do you suppose I could use the bread machine to do it for me? Calling DR Jose...

Thank you. His suit has been cleaned, he has new shoes, and today he got a haircut. Now all he needs his good weather for the drive there and to really connect with the person doing the interview.
I've just spoken to DR Ben. The doctors have decided to do nothing about draining the abscess after looking at x-rays and such. Ben says he feels better today and he is going onto a liquiddiet. If this goes well, they may try solid foods tomorrow. He remains on his antibiotic IV. There is talk that he will be released on Saturday or Sunday if things continue to progress.
I am at Toyland, feeling like crud, waiting to see Mr Skip Kennon, and wanting to kill the persons currently in control of my financial state. I did have a couple of productive hours at the McGlinnventory and we've now pulled most of what the estate owed to the LoC.

Stupid Question Time: If the McGlinn estate is the one that hasn't paid you; then why are you continuing to do the work for the estate?

I wonder if it would help if you made some cookies or brownies for Craig to take for the interviewer.

Stupid Question Time: If the McGlinn estate is the one that hasn't paid you; then why are you continuing to do the work for the estate?
The payment system is complicated because some of my work is paid by a foundation, which is the erratic payer covering my work on the recordings, and some is paid by by the estate for inventory and other jobs to facilitate closing the estate down. The estate will close down on Dec 31, and I'm finishing that because I was one of the heirs and because McGlinn was once a very god friend. The question is whether I continue with the foundation once the McGlinn estate is settled.
The person handling the foundation's payments is erratic and I never knw when payment will arrive.
I hope that clarifies some of the issue.

I absolutely love THE MAD MISS MANTON & it is my favorite Henry Fonda movie as well as my favorite Barbara Stanwyck film. I enjoyed them both in THE LADY EVE.

Yes it does. Thank you.
On a funnier note today, comedian Andy Borowitz voted Sarah Palin Woman of the Year . . .
for the year 1641.
Hmmm...I wonder if DR Ginny is getting herself a Kitchen-Aid mixer. I would love to have one but I dont have the counter space to keep it out or the storage space to put it away.

Add another 41 year to it, and I will pay for the carriage ride to Salem, MA.

And how many times have you seen STORM CENTER?

DR Dan (the Man), I've wanted one ever since the MixMaster stand mixer that we received for a wedding present fell apart not long after we were married. It was very poor quality and I've been making do with the hand mixer that my mother got for me with trading stamps when I set up my first apartment 37 years ago. Maybe it's time for an upgrade?
In June 1969, U.S. engineers diverted the flow of the Niagara River away from the American side of the falls for several months.
A friend of mine is trying to remember the name of a movie. Here is how she describes it:
"There was the craptastic horror movie from the 80s. It was about monsters from the sea, coming to land for the human women. Anyone have any ideas what movie that was????"
TCB, I think you named the one movie I have seen in the last year.

MBarnum would know what the craptastic movie was, wouldn't he?
I've got the answer about the craptastic movie, so never mind.

DR td - I'm glad your Mum doesn't have a blood clot and that she'll be seen by her doctors while she's in the hospital. Now, take care of yourself!

I kinda liked thinking you had a great time at that party, Vixmom.
I can't wait to see how they edit the show. The funniest part that you won't see was all the times Brian had to redo his voice over about the sponsor. He kept saying something wrong. He said "At least I got the jumps right on the first try"
tonight was the high school wintert concert as is traditional tehy ended with the halleujah chorus with th efull choir, band and orchestra - and any choir alumni in the audience are invited to join in- it was fun to see about 20 graduates finding their old places in the choir - there were about 100 kids inth echoir and they sounded spectacular

In June 1969, U.S. engineers diverted the flow of the Niagara River away from the American side of the falls for several months. Why?
last night was the company Christmas party - despite my post last night I was not drunk - I was however terribly terribly tired - proabably not as tired as our waiter was
we have had parties here in the past and the service is usually wonderful but this time half the staff must have called in sick or else they just really cut back on staffing becasue we had one guy doing everything
he took the drink orders and served , he circulated with the appetizer trays., he cleared and reset teh table and the water glasses, he mentioned that he made the drinks himself ,...and he disappeared for so long afte he took our meal orders and before he served dinner that I wondered whether he was also cooking and plating all the meals himself there were about 30 of us so he really could have used some help - I hope he was well compensated
appetizers included bacon wrapped scallops, chicken on stick, steak on a stick, coconut shrimp, chicken quesadillas and sweet & sour meatballs,
the starter coursew chouices were Caeser salad, beef vegetable soup or Lobster bisque ( I had the bisque) main course xhoices wer hwlf a roast chicken, skirt steak with fried onions and mashed potato, or filet mignon with mashed and aspargus -( I had the filet)
wehad a choice of chocolate layer cake, cheescake or sorbet for dessert but we were too tired at that point and ended up going home without dessert

Uh, what was that, Jose?
We also lost one of our JEWS AND BASEBALL interviewees, Bob Feller. :-(Someone mentioned his passing at dinner tonight. Thanks to your posting, I was the only one at the table who knew what she was talking about. But all were interested in seeing the film after explaining that he was interviewed for it.

Hello. all.Great to read this. Keeping you in my prayers.
I'm not staying on I just wanted to say hello. I haven't read any notes or greetings. Anthony brought the laptop to the hospital and I'm just dropping a quick note so you see that I'm still alive and kicking.
On Saturday or Sunday when I get discharged I will read all that I have missed and thank you wonderful people then.
Love you all.
My favorite Bette Davis movie is " The Bride Came C.O.D."Forgot about "The Bride Came C.O.D." I really enjoyed that one.
My second favorite is "Dark Victory".
I thought Julie Newmar was the monster in that one.A friend of mine is trying to remember the name of a movie. Here is how she describes it:

SEVEN BRIDES FOR SEVEN BROTHERS?
Of course, every time I see or hear "Hi, Ben", I naturally have to follow up with,You're not the only one.
"No, don't look at me..."
or I "embellish"
"Hi... Girls... Ben... Sally.."
;D
OK, OMG I had a blast tonight. I went to the taping of Brian Boitano's Skating Spectacular with Heart. It was really fun. Great skating, not too loud. And, when they did the crowd reaction shots at the end of intermission they only filmed my section. I was in the third row trying to do my best enthusiastic audience member (I do really really good audience). Do there's a good chance I'll be on the show for a brief shining moment. So set your dvrs and vcrs for Dec 26 from 3:00-5:00 CENTRAL time.
